I have a serious issue with impulse buying.. I used to be afraid to spend money too but i have broken from the spell..but now..i over spend cuz of impulse buying...i will learn how to budget now...thanks lucy💓

stingy people will never get rich. To get rich you need investment, the people who are not afraid of investing are the ones that succeed in getting rich and lucy is absolutely right about this. I had a phase in my life where was stingy in spending and i was not growing at all.. but later i started being liberal with wise spending.. now I'm almost never broke...
I struggle with impulsive buying and eating out. My main focus is properly paying my bills and debt. It makes me sad that I can't splurge or save like other friends, but more responsibility comes with more opportunities. I shouldn't be putting myself in debt to chase a lifestyle. God willing I will reap my rewards
As a Nigerian, I know where the fear of money came from. Financial transparency is hush hush and we are a heavy cash based economy. My last year goal was to build my financial literacy goals, 1 year later I have a budget, investment fund and emergency fund. I’m still a bit scared of mortgage as good debt tho 😅.

@@Elocute360 I'm based in Canada and I highly recommend @xoreni's page for financial literacy starters. Also be honest with yourself about budgeting and your spending habits. Monitor yourself for one month and review the next month.

I started budgeting around my birth month last year. It was stressful at first cause I had to say no to certain things and events but I don't regret it now cause saving and investing the rest has done me sooo good.

A lot of things you spoke about were what I struggled with and to be honest, I'm still struggling with taking money to gift myself cause the inflow of cash I have cannot replace it let's say in a month .. God help us all in this particular issue cause the MADNESS NEVER STOPS. We are so grateful that you could share your own experience with us. Hopefully, 2023 will be better.

I stopped hiding from money management a few weeks ago, I already am in route to get so many $$ problems solved. I was stuck in a mindset blind to future problems and goals. Just swipe happy eating out when I wanted since I was making all my payments and paying more than the minimum. I wasn’t saving but I didn’t see myself struggling, I had to pop the bubble and get a hold on myself because there is more to life than my current financial position if I set myself up for it

Happy new year Lucy thank you very much for sharing awesome tips! My word last year was determination and here we go this year with CONSISTENCY. Am so happy for myself to be financial free and currently growing a solid retirement plan. It takes a positive and consistency to learn new things, unlearn the old habits ms Important to get a mentor /coach to lead you all the way. It's great to start young too!

@@louis-freddieceaser8811 yeah. Fees and commissions are factors to look at in search for financial advisers. There’s financial experts out there who do not look at their fees but the impact and intrinsic value they bring along to you no matter how little you want to start. I’m glad I had one guide me start my financial journey
