im 55 loved this song since it came out it was me and my and my wifes song she has since passed in 2019 ty for reviewing it so much especially since im going thru so much right now life hurts so bad
I wish these guys would come back. Their music will always mean something too me though, got me through some diffucult times growing up. I'll always bump these guys, super nice dudes treated the fans like royalty. Great job also you nailed it man right down to the feeling it invokes. 🤘🔥
@@onewaydrive_ You're right and you know what that's okay if Eddie's truly happy doing that. Did you hear a little Les Hall like flourishes during the solo portion lol?
@@EnhanX Dude's so talented he injected life into Crossfade, pulled Eddie out of his depression. Without Les we wouldnt have the third record We All Bleed. The difference in instrument quality is night and day, i guess im one of the few that liked the more technical new sound of We All Bleed.
Sound's like Les Hall the guitarist that they brought in for the last album We All Bleed. He did a lot of cool flourishes like that and even brought some solo's to We All Bleed. It's ashame the band broke up, Les brought a lot of technicality to the guitar playing and even produced that last album. We All Bleed from a production/instrumental staindpoint is the best thing they did. That first album holds such a special spot for me that even though the third album is technically their best, i still think I like the self titled debut album just a little more.
Awesome updated cover. I remember watching ur old rendition of this. I'd love to see you do "so far away"! That is one tricky song to learn. Especially the clean part
Been watching you for years bro! Always loved how you pull out your Clint Lowery Signature PRS for Sevendust covers, and how you pulled out the Schecter 7 string for this cover, just like Ed uses in Crossfade! I randomly thought about one of your videos the other day and how you always mention to listen with headphones. lol! It's hilarious because anytime I find an absolute banger, or even if I'm showing a song to a chick, I always tell them to grab headphones so they can appreciate how good it is rather than listening on their phone. 😂 Quick question, were you playing this whole thing off your front pick up???
Yes, you only need the first 6 strings. The only Crossfade song I think that doesn't the utilize the 7th string but Ed still plays it on a 7-string anyway.
thanks for the reply.. btw, your playing is really awesome, across all the videos of yours i've seen.. and your guitara are really nice too... any 'rig rundown' type vids ?
What is the difference between a 7-string guitar and a 6-string guitar? Of the ones you own, only this guitar has 7 strings? I noticed it now because you wrote "7 strings"
You get an extra low string so you get access to lower notes and tunings without sacrificing any high end as you would tuning lower on just a 6-string guitar. It's why 7-string guitars are considered extended range instruments. Gives you access to more notes and possibilities than just a standard 6-string would.
The old one was recorded on a shitty Line 6 Spider with a Rock Band microphone in front of it lol. Before I really knew what I was doing which is why I'm re-doing a lot of the older videos now that I have a better understanding on how to record guitar properly. It's still a work in progress, it always will be, but I'd like to think it's come a long way in quality since those days.
The arctic camo cargo shorts really bring it all together.
I need to have a beer and look in the window after this one. Thanks
Lmao
HA!
Please do more crossfade!! In particular, Someday
This is the best comment I’ve ever seen, someday is so needed
Yeaaah man, someday's solo is brutal!! It would be great to also see invincible and already gone
Yeah So Far Away as well
It’s crazy seeing this riff then remembering he does this while singing 🤯

Please, next "So far away"
This popped up on my feed and BRO I had been thinking of doing a Crossfade cover ever since I got my C7 Plat. Love it, man,
a true classic banger

Great job man! Really liked how you did the subtle string bends during the rhythm portions-- that gave it a really cool sound.

clean transition
The chorus of this song has really cool bends 👌
This is excellent. Nice sustain & details on the licks. Good work buddy 👍
OMGG!! I’m so happy, after seeing your cover of this from 8 years ago vs now. I’ve been waiting for this 🙏🏼🙏🏼😁
Your covers are the best on youtube, really good play!
You nailed it! Great job!
I love cold, well done!!! 🖤🔥🤘👍👏
Awesome Cover 👌 🤟🤟
I love the crossfade covers, very well done. You should cover starless by crossfade at some point.
Didn’t expect a remaster of this but it’s awesome
Very good job
Nice accurate cover! 👌🏻
Another great cover, sounds awesome!
Tuning?
Well done Bro.

Based on the position of the switch, he's playing the bridge pickup (furthest left) if that's what you mean by "front pickup"
@@themchannel853 I couldn't see it when I looked but appreciate it.
Thanks man! Yes, it's all on the bridge pickup.
Amazing cover, where did you find the tab for this? I can’t find it anywhere how you’re playing it
Idk if you covered this one or not but So Far away would be sick !!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Dont understand how this guy only has 30k subs.
Am i right to say you dont actually need the 7th string for this song ?. i cant see any notes played on it

zzzz
and killing inside is from the third album.
The worst album xd
I love Someday❤ It would be great to also see invincible and already gone
more covers by crossfade!!
I love the covers of some of my favorite BUTT rock songs man. You really got the tone of BUTT rock down!
You have the tabs for this?
What amp/settings, great tone
Ooooh yessss cold❤

So far away please
Cold is back baby !!
Can u do taproot - fractured? I love ur channel bro.
I've done that one already.
@@MysticGuitar77 silly me
Hell ya
death trend setta or so far away man those songs changed my life
That whole album was life changing except for disco but hey even that one has grown on me.

can you do their song Colors?
That one will be coming next. ;)

One has an extra string. You're welcome.
and what is the extra string for?
You can have the top six strings in standard tuning and the low string tuned down for some lower notes
Does Mystic confirm this?
You get an extra low string so you get access to lower notes and tunings without sacrificing any high end as you would tuning lower on just a 6-string guitar. It's why 7-string guitars are considered extended range instruments. Gives you access to more notes and possibilities than just a standard 6-string would.
tutorial? and I will sub
Why the 7-string tho? That B never got used
To stay as true as possible to how Ed plays it. He always plays a 7-string even for this song which doesn't even use the low string.
Why do the people use a 7 string guitar???
wait did you even use the B string at all??
Nope
I mean this in the best way possible, you nailed that dudes shit tone lol. It’s like a metal zone straight into the soundboard lol.
🤘🏻😎🎸🎧
🎉
I didn’t know the Guitarist of Crossfade used a 7-string. I thought it was just played in drop d
Death Trend Setta
Oh it's 7 string indeed.
Your other version of this cover was more brutal sounding
But this one was more technical he took some creative liberties during the solo and imo it sounded even better with those bends during the solo.

my comment wasn't meant to be a knock against this cover, i think this one is about as close to perfects as you can get! 🤘
Wait that was the spider I thought that was the evh damn bro it actually sounds good
@@CrossFadeismyfavorite haha yup. I didn't get the EVH until 2018 so everything prior was done with that Line 6 Spider.

Nope 😂
