Mythical Zoan Human Human fruit model Grim Reaper: "The who will freeze over hell 'marijoea', The harbinger of souls and hopeful, enthusiastic guide to the after life."
I like this theory a lot ❤ Baron Samedi is also known to be crass and lecherous while simultaneously being charming and charismatic. Brook has his own way about it, certainly different than what is described of Baron Samedi, but it's more fun when things are turned on their head. Aside from panty jokes, we dont get to see the crassness as much as we did when we met Brook, but the kinds of things Baron Samedi is known for arent reconcilable with a children's show, so it's no surprise if attempted depictions get reduced to panty and fart jokes. Constantly joking, period, is in line with this theory too
I believe there are some theories that certain devil fruits are the spirits of the people from the void century. My theory is that there are a lot more fruits that have the potential to be “mythical zoans” but the label is based on how strong they are. Similar to how everyone assumed that Luffy’s fruit is a rubber fruit rather than the Nika fruit because you need to have a strong enough will to awaken it. However, I think both the smooth smooth fruit and Buggies’ fruit can be considered passive paramecias like Luffy’s was thought to be.
First I heard the theory on another channel that Chopper has a Mythical Zoan and now this? I swear, if it turns out Chopper and Brook have Mythical Zoans as well like Luffy, I'm 100% certain Robin will have a Mythical Zoan too. I mean, I can imagine Robin having the Human, Human Model: Shiva as it's weird her fruit is just called the Flower, Flower Fruit when she can spawn as many arms as she wants, where she wants.
Try this one for size... The Thousand Sunny is going to manifest it's Kabauter man but it's going to be a mythical god devil fruit the Hito-Hito no mi: Model Jesus Christ and Have Usopp eat it. The crew disbands and stops looking for the One Piece. They are now his 12 apostles and unite the world through Christianity. Also I know there aren't 12 straw hats, some shit happens and like Yamato, Bon Clay, Otama, or some other people join to make 12.
A friend who does divination, is really into religious symbolism and doesn’t watch ONE PIECE told me multiple times “Brooke is the most joyful version of Samedi that I’ve ever seen”.
Let. Him. COOK! Love this theory! I hope Oda takes his time to really stick the landing of this amazing epic, if so we just might see some if not all Strawhats accend to Godhood in order to defeat the monsters at the end of the world.
That might be the reason why they are called Devil fruits. The Spaniards didn't want the Aztecs to worship their gods because they consider them demonic. So any other gods than the Christian God (as an example) are demons or devils. The reason why some characters don't reach to that level of potential may be due to their will (or lack of). The will of D might be a clue to the characters potential. Maybe the will of D is the will of the "Devil".
I came across another channel, theorizing Imu summons the 5 elders to their bidding since they're demons. And the god valley incident is a ritual to gather the souls for the summoning. Imagine brook sending a saint back to the underworld, undoing the ritual and Imu just being like "Oh, you lil shits!"
Hi. Haitian here. few things i wanted to build on about Baron Samedi. He is what is known as many "Loa" or Voodoo (Vodou) gods, who are all children of Bondye. specifically he is the Loa of death. he is seen as quite powerful and is probably the most often depicted in the Voodoo religion. He is also generally linked to alcohol and celebrations, as is common within congregations of the Voodoo religion. i can definitely see how brook would have some interesting tie to this deity and how it could affect the series as a whole. Em out.
This seems like a very plausible theory, especially with how you used actual material in the manga to support your theory and the several different points you made. This was an amazing watch, and I can’t wait to see what you cook up next!! 💯🔥
YO THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST THEORY VIDEOS I'VE EVER SEEN ON RUclips! WELL DONE SO YOU MAKE SO MANY POINTS I SINCERELY HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT CUZ THAT WOULD BE REALLY DOPE
You made me go down a rabbit hole with this one dude. I think instead of the Baron, it may be Orpheus who was a musician, a friend to beasts, and escaped the underworld - albeit tragically losing his wife
@phanepacc5065 good point. I was thinking, if he is inspired by Orpheus, at least in part, there is an interesting congruency between Orpheus Muse and Lover Eurydice - a singer nymph, and Laboon - a whale who sings and enjoys music. The singing is probably the only connection obviously. But the idea of trying to brave the underworld in order to reunite with a loved one is there.
Might have to team up with his crew mates though. I remember the story about how Greek God Titan Cronus (Saturn) got defeated by his three children whom he feared would overthrow him, children being Zeus( God Of The Sky) , Poseidon( God of the Seas) and Hades( God of the Underworld). Now let's not forget that Nami controls Zeus( A Lightning Soul) and she has access to weather powers( but probably specializes on lightning). If we were to associate Poseidon with any Straw Hats, my best bet would be Jinbei ( because he's the first son of the sea). Now Brook is possibly the nearest to Hades out of the crew, because of his Soul Powers
@@whitebunny143 have to team up with crew mates for sure, I don't think he can do this alone. That's why I said "he better a play a role in defeating Saturn" Nice catch about Cronus. I am familiar with the same through God of war and Percy Jackson etc.
Ok I have to mention this now that I think of it. I love your theory on Brook in this and you've convinced me of it's strong possibility. But I just realized at the end maybe exactly how Brook might show us a weakness in the Goroseis' powers (assuming they all work in a similar way to how Saturn is being shown to us). So Saturn showed up from a summoning circle right? Well this idea stems off one concept which I actually don't know if its been shown or not. But no one seems to mention Saturn actually moving from the spot he is in. Is it possible he is still in the summoning circle, which gives him special qualities/abilities for being in it? Like what if he's only immortal and invulnerable while in the circle? When Brook landed on that summoning circle you can see a paw print destroy it in the process. What if Brook destroys part of the circle and we see Saturn become weaker or more vulnerable? Maybe someone can prove this wrong by mentioning how Saturn has actually moved? If so I would like to hear it because this sounds pretty fitting and just subtle enough that Oda would try and pull it off. There is one last part of my idea I would like to add but its even more of a stretch so I figured I Would give it a separate part. I've heard theories on how the Gorosei might actually be demons from another realm. What if that's true and all the Gorosei and Imu are actually demons that were summoned via summoning circles? What if those poor villagers that "Summoned Satan", or rather Brook, were actually about to summon another demon to the world of One Piece? What if that process was stopped by Kumas' paw fruit landing there with Brook? What if Oda showed us that to set up not only the importance of Brook, but the secret reason everything seemingly horrible and bad in the One Piece world that's caused by The World Government happened in the first place, and how to stop it, all at once. I feel these are far less likely than anything. But its kind of mind-blowing if it is true and with how Oda has been revealing things left and right that have been in our face this entire time, I could actually see those a being possibly true.
This MIGHT be a reach but hear me out. Brook Is called baron corpse by the minks, brook has similarities with baron 'samedi' and "samedi" means Saturday in french. The word "Saturday" originates from the roman god 'Saturn' coincidence????
Baron Samedi was the first place my mind went when thinking a mythic Zoan, Brook's connection with music and being specifically called the "soul" king could be other hints linking him to the culture as well.
I have believed this ever since he started doing crazy ass Soul King stuff. Then when he pulled up on Big Mom and finessed her I realized he was OP as fuck and we're all underestimating him.

In some African-brazilian religious traditions, in specific ubanda, there's an representation of this entity called Exu Caveira, "Skull Eshu" in free translation, that has pretty much that role in the religious tradition. Plus, it is represented by a skeleton wearing a black suit and a top hat some times.
i dont think oda is just gonna start throwing mythical zoans around, brooks awakening maybe something close to this though, imo the only secret mythical zoan users are dragon, kuma, and chopper
I like the theory that brook is immortal as long as he has the will to keep living. Explains why that fruit (can) go back into circulation and doesn't just stay with the original owner, while Brook is seemingly unable to die based on how his fruit works.
@@madpanger7257 No he didn't give up. He makes a point of saying specifically that he's so happy he never gave up after being alone so long, when he finally gets invited to join the straw hats.
I’m convinced, especially with brook being drawn in the nika pose like luffy also was. Luffys mythical zoan was foreshadowed with that pose, with that known it could be inferred brook has a mythical zoan. And with baron samedi, brooks also called baron corpse
Maybe because the Mythical Zoans have a will of their own is what brought Luffy’s crew mates together and all of the Straw Hat devil fruit users are secretly mythical. like a prophesied destiny
My theory IMU, devil fruit or not, represents “Mara” from mythology. An old “celestial” entity that’s jealous of true gods. Oda might be playing off the lore of Shin Megami Tensei. There’s lots of parallels there (no but seriously, there's a metric ton of parallels, even one of hell being run like a government organization, but whatever back to the script). Additionally look at the forms of Mara in mythology and in Shin Megami… The traditional depiction of Mara has similarities to Tot Musica and the Devil King. The Shin Megami version is a “worm” like form with tentacles, which will surely make you laugh. In the traditional depiction, Mara has 5 floating skulls around his neck or head area (elders). Mara in both forms here, rides a massive elephant that is “cursed” (Zunesha). In Norse mythology there is also a creature called “Mara”. This creature causes nightmares, an oppressed feeling, and is defeated by taking its hat…The Spanish word for “sea” is “mar” Thank you I’ll be here all week PS: Mary Geoise = Mara Jo, which means Mara Castle. Just maybe Pangea is based on Himeji Castle, which is said to be inhabited by a yokai that HATES humans…Now with the recent info about "rabits", it reminds me of the Mayan story about the Sun and the Moon being equally bright, until a certain god threw a rabbit at it lol...dam this is a long ps... my other guess is that "Devil Fruits" is Oda doing wordplay like always and fruits are not demonic in nature but divine. "Deva" means divine and obviously sounds like "Devil", hence "Deva Fruits" = "God Fruits"...it just keeps going..
he got immortal cause his body became bones, that was a loophole , the revive fruit had to bring him back , so it did. 2nd point he is alive because the devil-fruit, ie. he is still using his devil fruit to live i.e. he have to die again in-order for the fruit to get released.
so heres the thing everyone is thinking x is now a mythical zoan ect, what if during one of the strawhat fruit awakinings it evolves into the Yomi Yomi no Mi:model brook (or quite possibly when kuma dies Nikyu Nikyu no Mi: model onikuma) also Anansi could be another option for brroks since his connection to spiders ;p
Not only the theory is well worked, but the video is too. Very creative and well produced. This level of editing and content creation deserves a lot more popularity. Keep going!
I don’t know about fishmen being an accurate depiction of any specific form of slavery. Black slaves were sold by their brothers to the british slavers who then sold them to the americas and elsewhere. Jews were taken by the Egyptians which is a bit more similar, especially considering that they escaped captivity by following their God out of Egypt while being pursued, which I think is a bit closer to how fishmen slaves escaped mariejois. They were lead out by Fisher Tiger, who is now viewed as a savior by fishmen ex-slaves.
brook summoning circle has been pointed out to me to be an octagram and so magic and elemental powers which might explain the ice ability... but the mythical zoan connection sounds cool. could happen
Love the theory! I would like to add that maybe brook is also a d clan member cause we still don't know his full name and that could add to the idea of him having a mythical zoan and him playing a pivotal role in taking down the gorosei
As soon as I saw the title of this theory, Baron Samdi came to mind. I watched a "Mythology and Fiction Explained" video about them years ago and they just kinda stuck with me.
People call him 'Baron Corpse' a lot. I always thought it was wierd they would use 'Baron' as a title but in the context of Baron Samdi that would be some pretty cool forshadowing.
Oh. Not that I know anything but what wikipedia tells me, but apparently today (Nov 2nd) is the day of Baron Samedi's feast so, celebrations! Special respects paid to Brook today, if this theory is corret, it may be his :>
I think this is a bit of a stretch. We already know how Brook is a skeleton, maintains the possession of his fruit, and have ice powers. Brooks explains this in Thriller Bark and Fishman Island. Brook is only a skeleton because his soul got lost before it returned to his body. So his skeletal body isn't a biproduct of his Devil Fruit but a consequence of him not finding his body before he decomposed. He would have resembled how he looked when he was alive if he found his body in time. Brook currently possessing the fruit is admittedly a bit a mystery but a more logical conclusion would be that the power of a Devil Fruit becomes tied to the soul upon consumption which lines up with Blueno's explanation of why one cannot eat two Devil Fruits as well as the reincarnation of Devil Fruits resembling the transmigration of the soul. As he explained in his fight against Zeo, Brook's immortality and ice powers both stem from the fact that to stay alive, his body expends a great bit of energy that keeps him tethered to this world and what powers him is his soul. Because of this, as long as his bones aren't completely shattered, he can reconstruct himself using his soul. The basic premise of his fruit is to revive him, but what the fruit also does is to keep his soul from returning to the Underworld. Essentially, Brook serves as a doorway between this world and the underworld. As a result, some of the Underworld may leak out of him which Brook describes as the Chill of the Underworld. So, much like how Big Mom's homies are her indirectly manipulating the elements, Brook's control over ice is an indirect application of his fruit as well. On another note, I find the connections between Brook and Baren Samedi to be very compelling and I agree that he was probably an inspiration for Brook's character.
I love this theory. It is a breath of fresh air right now. The only thing that could hender your theory is the no Pasive ability part.buggy has (at least from what we have seen) the passive ability to be cut up without activating at least that is how it looked when mehawk cut him up.now buggy could have a God fruit as well Apparently the name of his fruit is an Onomatopoeia for rain falling in Japanese.
I mean his fruit‘s name is Yomi Yomi no Mi. That the fruit has something beyond its revival ability should be a given. Yomi literally means Underworld.
I think Brook Is related to someone special. We still don't know his last name. Along with a bunch of other important characters.. Nami, Usopp/Yassop, Sabo, Koby, Buggy, Crocodile, Smoker, Jinebe, the admirals, etc.
Well after watching this video I've become convinced that the pre-requisite for a mythical god zoan fruit to awaken is for the individual who ate it to die first.
Another interesting thing of note to the Baron Samedi theory: Lafitte is also from the West Blue, like Brook. Lafitte was a famous IRL pirate who set up shop in...ding ding ding! New Orleans. I've been to Lafitte's bar. He used the building as a blacksmithing business to cover for his piracy.
I love your math ability when you call an eight pointed star a five pointed star. Good Job. Edit: Okay, outside of that one nitpick, the rest of your video was put together rather well. A lot of depth, pointing out the many threads, and the Vodou link. I would be very interested in seeing if it is true.
@@realestJojo Unique amongst the Paramecia class,[1] this fruit's ability to transform the user into mochi is analogous to the properties of a Logia fruit. Thus, the user is invincible against attacks that are not imbued with Busoshoku Haki, as any part of their body that is struck by an attack simply morphs into mochi that can reform after.[6]
You are wrong though. Its not only Mythical God Zoans that have passive abilities with out activating them, all Mythical Zoans do. Look at Orochi, he got his head chopped off and was still alive. Marco can Heal in human form with his flames (might also regen without activating his form) Kaido used Flame clouds while being in human form (Oni form) Kaido also is extremly durable in Humanform = Dragon scales durability. SenGoku seems do be smart and strategical but that is just speculation, also havent seen anything special from Yamato. Luffy has a god fruit, like the 4 mentioned in skypia. His is a mythical zoan like the others, thats why he got powers while not activating his zoan form. I'm not saying Brook does not have a Good fruit, im just saying/correcting you that mythical zoans also doesnt need to activate there powers to use me, proven by the manga so far.

This creature causes nightmares, an oppressed feeling, and is defeated by taking its hat…The Spanish word for “sea” is “mar”
Thank you I’ll be here all week
PS: Mary Geoise = Mara Jo, which means Mara Castle.
My family is from Louisiana so hearing about this tying in with one piece is cool
Man I really liked your theory. You got a new sub.
he got immortal cause his body became bones, that was a loophole , the revive fruit had to bring him back , so it did. 2nd point he is alive because the devil-fruit, ie. he is still using his devil fruit to live i.e. he have to die again in-order for the fruit to get released.
Hito Hito no Mi:
Model Grim Reaper
This is god level theory bro! 🙏🏿
so heres the thing everyone is thinking x is now a mythical zoan ect, what if during one of the strawhat fruit awakinings it evolves into the Yomi Yomi no Mi:model brook (or quite possibly when kuma dies Nikyu Nikyu no Mi: model onikuma) also Anansi could be another option for brroks since his connection to spiders ;p
Ooo yes it can be anansi, perhaps his overall inspiration is a mix of african gods. I would love to an anansi mythical zoan!
Agreed. You see how vastly different Fishman are from each other. There are traits of all human races in the Fishman race of OP.
This is actually very true
brook summoning circle has been pointed out to me to be an octagram and so magic and elemental powers which might explain the ice ability... but the mythical zoan connection sounds cool. could happen
I wonder if it being an octogram with 8 points make it stronger than Saturn’s 5 pointed one? Or is there a different significance, very interesting.
I actually really liked this theory , makes a ton of sense , good job on the research.
Love the theory! I would like to add that maybe brook is also a d clan member cause we still don't know his full name and that could add to the idea of him having a mythical zoan and him playing a pivotal role in taking down the gorosei
fire video and fire editing
As soon as I saw the title of this theory, Baron Samdi came to mind. I watched a "Mythology and Fiction Explained" video about them years ago and they just kinda stuck with me.
People call him 'Baron Corpse' a lot. I always thought it was wierd they would use 'Baron' as a title but in the context of Baron Samdi that would be some pretty cool forshadowing.
brooks is also a clear jimi hendrix reference whose biggest song was voodoo child
1:35 was like saying "one day my coworker bought a car and a year later he got a fever".
I just think we gotta stop with everyone ending up with mythical stuff.
This is one of the best and most sensible theories I've ever heard.
Awesome analysis about the future of Brook ❤
Loving the content
I love this theory. It is a breath of fresh air right now. The only thing that could hender your theory is the no Pasive ability part.buggy has (at least from what we have seen) the passive ability to be cut up without activating at least that is how it looked when mehawk cut him up.now buggy could have a God fruit as well Apparently the name of his fruit is an Onomatopoeia for rain falling in Japanese.
Great video man love it
I mean his fruit‘s name is Yomi Yomi no Mi. That the fruit has something beyond its revival ability should be a given. Yomi literally means Underworld.
Slight nods to Charon "The Ferryman" of Greek mythology too; he was literally a skeleton man on a boat with the dead.
I think Brook Is related to someone special. We still don't know his last name. Along with a bunch of other important characters.. Nami, Usopp/Yassop, Sabo, Koby, Buggy, Crocodile, Smoker, Jinebe, the admirals, etc.
Now this is true and mostly including the nami part
At this point in every important character has a mythical zoan 😐😂
I like th we theory but chop chop and smooth smooth both have passive bodies. Not to discount, just added observation.
Oof, buggy being a mythical zoan i can see happening but the smooth smooth breaks everything 😅
Forget a theory I feel like this is confirmed, I’d bet money on this happening within the coming weeks
Brook deserves a lot more credit than he gets, and it’d be cool if he gets more of a focus.
GREAT VIDEO, got my sub. Ill be back everytime you upload. Even turned on notis and I dont have them for anyone. GREAT STUFF MAN, wow.
Another two fruits that have connection to other religions are the jackal and falcon fruits from Alabasta, Anubis and Ra from egyptian mythology.
11:16 well there is buggy, but that doesn't necessarily ruin your theory, maybe just buggy also has one
Brook moves, talks, sees, feels and even drinks. And you're concerned with the Afro?
A true One Piece theorist. Very proud.
You missed his fight against big mom. He was the one the made all her homies run. He’s also the only one to cut her fire.
didnt law also cut her fire?
@@Fabo__HD maybe but I don’t remember that.
Zoro also cut Promethus, which is fitting since those two have their own special ties amongst the crew.
@@ininyeusi4245 ya he said it hurt. I have always thought brooks cut a bit of her soul
Solid video dude
Also brook may possibly be able to breathe underwater since he doesnt have organs
its the grim reapers fruit that we saw w zoro on wano
Good theory but there are passively activated paramecia fruits in the story, it's not just luffy's fruit
Facts ie Katakuri
@@frankmartinez6684no katakuri uses future sight
@@realestJojo Unique amongst the Paramecia class,[1] this fruit's ability to transform the user into mochi is analogous to the properties of a Logia fruit. Thus, the user is invincible against attacks that are not imbued with Busoshoku Haki, as any part of their body that is struck by an attack simply morphs into mochi that can reform after.[6]
New Orleans produce great jazz music too... great connection bro.
Imagine if brook is able to talk to the dead as an awaken ability. Talk to someone like roger or xebec
i thought he talked to ace?
Or his dead crewwwwww ;___; Imagine he summons their ghosts once he and Laboon reunite.
Mouth dropped open @20:00 , think this theory is accurate. It all connects too well
You are wrong though.
I'm not saying Brook does not have a Good fruit, im just saying/correcting you that mythical zoans also doesnt need to activate there powers to use me, proven by the manga so far.
during the party at fishman island he jumped across a large bulb just like gear 5 luffy did in wano
Great video! Brook is my favorite straw hat
1:08 Since when did they summon brook? It was *coincidence* that Kuma's attack sent him directly into the center of the summoning circle.
well i'm pretty sure in the end it will turn out that every single fruit is in fact a mythical god fruit waiting to be awakened
This theory is quite interesting and makes a lot of sense to me. I've also always doubted it was a paramecia. Thank you sir
Brook is my fav. Charakter and all what oda showes us from him, he has so much potential.
i hope oda will give him more power. he is more then just a joke
Man I love this! Your pronunciation is perfect. Well done
Good shit brother
Devil fruits awaken when the user matches the personality of a devil fruit, that means brook is really close to an awakening that could make him really powerful
