  • Buildings across Houston suffered severe damage overnight from intense storms and winds, some topping over 100 miles per hour in the downtown area. Skyscraper windows were torn to shreds with glass turning into projectiles in the high winds.

      Hey when I lived in Houston and we had a hurricane I still had to go to work we were without power for 10 days
      I worked in the Exxon facility

    Houston is in the path of hurricanes which often have winds greater than 100 mph. Shouldn't these high rises be able to withstand 100mph winds?

      Ya cloud seeding gone bad..winds aren’t supposed to be able to penetrate Aries with such density and buildings that cut the wind keeping it from reaching such power. There’s more at play here

    This is probably this?The beginning of the bad storms 100 miles an hour is nothing.That's probably gonna be about 2 or 300 miles an hour.Wind when there's more water in the ocean and more heat

    OMG!what if the buildings foundations are questionable,it might fall down given this wind speed.The shattering of glass windows becomes one of the falling debris that poses danger to people and properties on the ground,just take extra care and goodluck!❤️🙏

    Windows should be able to withstand high winds. I'm guessing at the top of these buildings there was a venturi effect making the winds much higher than 100mph. Regardless, they need to make sure that the replacements have extra safety measures to hold them in, or to make sure they completely break up if they come out.
