  • NS 10Z rolls through the town of Riverside, PA with a short train of only 46 cars and Norfolk Southern’s Lackawanna heritage SD70ACe #1074 leading the way. Second out is NS 4386 which suffered extensive damage from an assumed tree strike on the Buffalo line. With early word that the original crew was bringing NS 1074 up solo to “pick up” the train we headed down toward Millersburg, PA to catch the lite move and then chase the train north back home. Unfortunately after getting to the MP 738 area just north of where this video was shot, the train would wind up sitting for over 2 hours for MOW clearing storm debris. Once finally on the move the train only made it a short amount of miles before getting hit by a hotbox detector and having to take the train to milepost 716 at 10mph and inspecting every 3 miles before having to drop the problematic bulkhead and then finally continuing north. Thanks for watching!
