      PsychedelicFerret Who are you to say it's not AC/DC anymore? Angus fucking Young says it is, so guess what, IT IS.
      And why wasn't it not ACDC anymore when Bon left? Why is Brian replacing Bon acceptable but not Axl replacing Brian? Or Cliff replacing Mark Evans? Was it not ACDC in 1988 when Stevie took over for Malcolm on the Blow Up Your Video tour?

      only a fool would tell a rock band like acdc that is selling out stadium tours to stop. They are the last real rock band there is , if you don't like them anymore then go away and pretend they are not there while the rest of us can rock on and enjoy for the next 10 years hopefully.

      You`re a dope. The whole machine of AC/DC is Malcolm. Without Malcolm AC/DC as we have known them for 40 years are gone. Yes Stevie replaced Mal for the Northern American leg in 1988 but it was for concerts not recording. Huge fucking difference. Bon didnt leave AC/DC you fuckwit, he died. Mal wanted a bassist that would do backing vocals thats why Cliff came in & Mark exited. Phil Rudd will only ever be the right & true drummer for AC/DC. No other drummer they have had has the swing that Phil has that is needed for the AC/DC sound. So yes idiot.. No Brian, Mal, Cliff or Phil = NO AC/DC !!!!!

I feel like I'm having a conversation with them when I watch stuff like interviews even though I've never been able to say anything to them. They always puts a smile on my face and make me happy, ever since I first got into AC/DC before I could walk. thank you AC/DC. AC/DC as individuals are underrated which is crazy as hell. They never got the press they should have here in the U.S. because of Tipper Gore and her bullshit vendetta against their music. They have been my favorite band for 44 yrs.

    • @daveweed2765
      @daveweed2765 8 месяцев назад

      MarkanVaran7. The bass on Shot Down in Flames is not a "groove". The bass on that song is the Drive. It drives the verses and lays back on the chorus. Just pure effin 8s the whole way through except for the chorus. It's really the epitome of rock bass or how it should be. You can lose yourself and never miss a movement. Just listen to the guitars for your movements.
      The whole song itself is so complex in its simplicity that it's almost magic. If you can play bass it seems natural even at the end hitting the twelfth fret on the G string and then the A string with a slide down. You don't even have to think about it too much.
      This is probably my favorite ACDC songs. To play and listen to.

    Cliff doesn’t get as much of the praise as some of the others, but he really should. I’ll say this, I’d be nowhere near as thrilled to be watching an AC/DC show and see anyone else but him in that position.

  • @jerryattwooll4864

    The greatest rhythm section in rocknroll in my humble opinion, Malcolm RIP, Cliff and Phil Rudd. It is their foundation upon which AC/DC's sound is built. Without the swing that they provide it just wouldn't sound the same. A lot of bands (Krokus, Rhino Bucket, Airborne, Burnt Out Wreck) try to sound like AC/DC and produce entertaining music, but they can't quite replicate the feel and that swing that the classic DC rhythm section had.

    • @bluebandit1281
      @bluebandit1281 3 года назад +1

      Rudd is the foundation of that swing too. That's why Chris Slade only sounds good on The Razor's Edge material. He was their drummer when they did it and it meshed well but the rest of their music was all pretty much written with Rudd behind the kit and as Brian Johnson says "If it doesn't swing, it doesn't mean a thing.." The rest of the music feels sloppy and unorganized with Slade drumming because it just doesn't quite fit.

    • @bluebandit1281
      @bluebandit1281 3 года назад +2

      @@jackthomson5047 Rudd's timing is flawless but there is a "Swing" in his beat that is required for the proper sound. A simple accented stagger in the hihat and a late snare pretty much is the main difference. You can hit the bass drum a touch early too putting a little more delay between it and the snare for added effect. There is a trick with the hihat he does as well that not only make it half the effort but also gives it a different accent and tone by making every other strike towards the top of the hihat with the tip of the stick and the egde of it with the side of the stick. Watch him carefully sometime , It's slick as hell and he can do it all while smoking a cigarette!

      If you would know anything about playing the bass, then you would know that playing like Cliff is anything but easy. Many players can play his basslines, but no one sounds like him. That goes for all other members of AC/DC as well.

    • @kortomNL
      @kortomNL 6 лет назад +5

      Bullshit Neil. He and the drummer served the music, forming the ideal backbone for Angus. Great respect for the guy to serve all his career. As a bass player myself I wouldn't have the patience or find enough pleasure to only serve and only laying down the perfect basis for the guitarist. Angus would be thankful.

    • @bluebandit1281

      Another armchair musician who has no idea how music is made or what really goes into it. Everyone thinks that hard, loud and fast takes the most effort or skill and they couldn't be more wrong. It's actually pretty easy to belt everything out at high volume with no dynamic control. Having dynamics and being able to play at any tempo with detail and feeling and doing it with skill and finesse is far harder. Add doing that EXACTLY the same way every time and it gets even harder.

    AC/DC wasn't the same without Bon - and don't quote "Back In Black" at me as evidence against this because Bon wrote most of the stuff on there. Then they lost Malcolm and that should have been the end. Carrying on is like Iommi dragging the Sabbath name through the mud in the late 80s.
