Market Close 26 Jun 24: Hot inflation sees ASX dive

A hotter than expected read on monthly inflation had investors worried today, dragging the Aussie market lower. Inflation came in at 4.0% in the year to May, higher than the 3.8% that analysts were expecting. This has heightened fears that another rate hike could be on the cards this year.
