I've never thought of sableye as having a fuzzy/ felt texture but I love it so much! It really brings out the cute aspects of the pokemon combined with the creepy twitching and glowing gem. I want him as a little felt keychain

I love these! I wanted to illustrate a scientific journal under the guise of a professor about ten years ago, but never did it. I'm happy more people are making different things with a similar idea. It's really fun to watch! I do have to say, and this might just be me (as an OG Pokemon fan and old as hell, haha), but people who say it like "Pokey-mon" always make it sound... I don't know the word for it. I don't want to be mean, because it's a great set of videos. It just sounds amateurish? Whenever I hear people say it that way, I always think of all the people who didn't like or know Pokemon basically pronouncing it the same way. 😂 Maybe that's where the discomfort stems from. I got into Pokemon in '97, so there used to be a TON of people who didn't like or know anything about Pokemon, and they'd say it the same way. Most fans I hear pronounce it, say it as the original "Poe-kay-mon," or "Poka-mon." I wonder if anyone else feels this way? I'm not trying to be weird or rude, it was just something I thought about, lol. Either way, amazing models! Are you still learning rigging? Have you tried to make Pokemon battle? I'll have to see more of your stuff. It seems like it'd be difficult to make the movement fluid when they're so realistic!

I always thought of the little outgrowths or “antlers” on wooper’s head as being made of bone or the same material as coral-calcium or something-but I love how cute it still looks!
@@Vivi-Mage I don't think they're quite fluffy, they just have a lot of surface area for gas exchange. Structurally, gills and lungs are somewhat opposite. Gills have long tendrils for as much contact with the water as possible, with the water acting to hold the tendrils apart from one another. Lungs on the other hand, have little pockets for the same reason. Gills don't work as well out of the water because the water that was flowing between the tendrils now acts to stick them all together, reducing effective surface area, while the little pockets in lung tissue retain water and also reduce effective surface area. External gills get around this by being somewhat rigid. They maintain most of their surface area even when not supported by water.
I am genuinely surprised at how few views this has, not only are these very well animated and very well made they also just like actually say interesting stuff from the Pokedex, honestly good on you this is really good work hopefully minutes after me saying this you'll magically explode and get like a billion views on this

I found it kind of confusing for Sableye with his eyes mimicking gems to lure in prey, but it's diet consist solely of crystals? Why would it need to lure in prey if it only eats minerals? To level up?

They're external gills. Look up axolotls, a kind of salamander. Both Wooper and Mudkip were based on them.
