This past Dynamite was the worst one they’ve ever had. I was extremely high and had to rewatch it the following day to make sure it wasn’t because I was close to being torched by the sun.

The very first horror video game was Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Atari 2600. So, its been done before all the way back in the 1980s. Thats your fun fact for today.

Not trying to start an arguement but Haunted House for the Atari predated Texas Chainsaw Massacre by a year. There were other horror video games earlier. There was a computer game 3D for the ZX1 called Monster Maze that could be considered the first horror game released in 1981. If you want to go father depending whether you consider the Magnavox Odyssey a real video game system, the Haunted House from 1972 might be the first horror game but that's stretching it.

Funny story: One Halloween many moons ago, my friend's dad (RIP) put a Jason mask on and was scaring little kids revving up one of those small, not full size, chainsaws with no chain. We got the cops called on us in about 20 mins. But those kids' memories probably lasted a lifetime.
On the plus side, at least we now all know exactly which match is definitely going to be on the AEW Dark Side Of The Ring episode AND the Rise And Fall of AEW, WWE special.

Im actually on the flip side of this as I've gone to a few shows. Aew production is actually kind of crap at times from the music sounding not as clear in the broadcast and chants actually being toned down.
You can tell from this match though that the crowd was bored and the sound reflected that but I've been to shows where I can't hear myself speak and the broadcast is has this wierd muted sound to it

Now this is how you start off Saturday morning to hear Jim’s review of the worse AEW match in history, that Texas Chainsaw Massacre death match. Although the proceeds went to charity, it was an awful match that would turn any potential wrestling fan off from ever wanting to watch wrestling again. It was WCW 2001 awful. This is why I DO NOT watch Dynamite.

It's shocking when something is so bad in AEW that even Meltzer can't bring himself to still give it 4 stars or more.
Of course, Meltzer wasn't going to rate this match, but he remembered to shit on the Miz/Priest match. Also, Meltzer might be in time-out, he gave the Buck/Gunn Club match 3.75 stars. Remember Tony threw a tantrum for not giving Jericho a 5-star match.

That’s where I disagree with Jim. This was really dumb, but not as dumb as a group of actual zombies eating Morrison and the Miz (just for them to be fine the next day of course). Really, it’s splitting hairs, but I’d still put that as more ridiculous, even if it’s by a small margin.
Both were dumb, but WWE always said they were an entrainment show first and wrestling second, so it’s not so bad. AEW claims to have “Real Sports Feel” 😂
WWE also did their match during the Pandemic.

jeff jarrett was one of my favourite wrestlers as a kid, in the teenage years TCM was one of my favourite movies and the game was even made in my home city, i went to school with one of the devs, this cut deep

I didn't watch this, thankfully, but from the picture I saw, it looked like a Ryobi chainsaw, which would mean it's a battery powered chain saw. Assuming there was even a battery in it, you'd need to pull the switch back to get it to run, it doesn't stay running like a gas powered chain saw and it doesn't sound like a gas saw either.

Oh man… i have been waiting for this lol. I’m glad Jim caught the fake chainsaw noise over the PA system lol. Don’t get me wrong.. this match was BAD… but for me, it got so bad, that i started enjoying it. Much like how Brian enjoys Moxley for how bad he feels he is. I found myself just laughing my ass off at how absurdly ridiculous and bad everything was, i was rooting for it to get worse and worse lol. This match will forever hold a special place in my heart 😂😂😂
I remember when Leatherface was actually a wrestler in USWA and made his debut. At least then he was using an actual chainsaw (minus the chain of course).
Two things that are kind of surprising about this match was that it didn't take place in Texas, and Jon Moxley wasn't one of the opponents.

This Leatherface looked like the one in the sequels, other than the remake in the early 2000s it's funny that the best looking Leatherface was the original, the one with the smaller budget
