I don’t understand why they say Ryan Day should be gone if he loses the Michigan four times in a row but didn’t Jim Harbaugh lose to urban Meyers Ohio State, seven years in a row and look what happened to him.
JH didn't lose to OSU 7 straight years it was 5 but with OSU being the favorite year after year to win the big ten and some years the Natty and lose 3 straight years you can't have it!
He is constantly winning games, but how can you get to the next level if you always lose to an opponent like Michigan. It will be better now that they are no conferences in the big ten. Some people want day fired due to the rivalry.
It seems bad to fire a good coach because he’s losing to the rival team but it can’t happen. Trust me, let Georgia lose 4 straight to Auburn or Florida and Kirby’s neck is on the chopping block despite the National Titles. And no, Jim Harbaugh lost 5 games in in row to Ohio State from 2015-2019. The 2020 year was cancelled because of COVID, then Harbaugh and Michigan made a turnaround in beating Ryan Day and Ohio State.
Finebaum is morphing into a "tv personality" instead of a rational analyst like once was. He's trying to become the college football's version of Stephen A Smith and I can't stand it.
Jim Harbaugh lost to Ohio State 7 years in a row before he finally won. This take is just for likes and attention because Ohio State is the biggest brand in college football. Ryan Day is 56-8 and lost to Clemson Alabama Georgia and Michigan all title winners. Let's stop this quick-fix culture already.
I know it was a long time ago and a different administration, but Ohio State allowed John Cooper 12 years at Ohio State while only beating Michigan twice and I still don't understand why they kept him as long as they did. But yes short of winning a national championship this year, Day will be fired if he loses to Michigan for a fourth year in a row.
He shouldn’t be fired due to the fact that regular season is less important now. Ohio State’s goal should be to make the playoffs and compete for a natty.
Michigan is going to beat them again. Ryan Day is scared of Michigan and it showed. He better let Chip Kelly have total control this year when they play lol. At least Chip has nothing to lose
Finebaum is a complete joke ! Day doesn’t have a good record against Michigan but he does have a great record in all their other games, players to the league, recruiting, etc. You don’t can the guy winning your program 12 games per year on the regular ! The next character might be WAY worse, just ask Tennessee fans how they liked all their coaches after they fired Fulmer. Until Heupel it was a MESS and they would’ve been HAPPY with the 9 wins a year they’d had before. Just saying… RTR
Yea but thats not a Ryan Day problem, thats an Ohio State problem. Theyve been an absolute machine my whole life but have regularly got folded at the end. And theres no consistent explanation for it, the Buckeyes are just prolific chokers.
@@voiceofreason2674 It's absolutely his fault. The team has a wealth of talent and he refuse to use it. Insanely talented freshmen get zero snaps. There are no wrinkles in the gameplan. No changes of pace. Very basic and predictable gameplan in terms of personnel usage. He had Marvin Harrison Jr. and relied on McCord to force feed him the ball last season. Terrible!
@@FaithfulFumoFan23ohio state has a different player of Marvin Harrisons caliber every year, and with different coaches, the ending is the same, great regular season, get jumped at the end. Theyve been smashmouth, track meet, different styles of play but they usually choke. That said winning a title at Ohio State is the expectation. Tressel and Meyer each got a ton of chances and ultimately bagged one each
With the expanded playoff, teams are going to have more chances to avenge those big game losses now at least if you're top 12. I do think Ohio State beats Michigan this year but I don't think Michigan should be slept on either. If a few of these guys develop over the course of the year, the D Line is strong, the secondary is still good, and if Orji is simply able to rely on the run game like JJ did, they will be a challenge and may even go into the Game 10-1.
Actually OSU/UM has a potential to see each other 3 times in a season. Scenario: OSU and UM are undefeated going into Thanksgiving. OSU beats Michigan. Both meet the next week at the B1G Championship. Michigan gets revenge and beats OSU. Michigan gets a 2-4 seed. OSU gets a 5-8 seed. If in the same bracket, they could see each other at a quarter final or if OSU gets put in another bracket and wins out, the Title Game could be "THE GAME" Part Drie! That would only intensify that rivalry. Can you image a world where the Buckeyes could lose to "TTUN" 3 times in a season? That would be grounds alone for a coaching change after 2 seasons and a possibility of 6 losses!

Well for 1 its not gonna mean much. 2. Stephen a doesnt want skip back because he's running the show now and 3. Even if they agreed to do it, i feel skip's heart isnt in it anymore. His energy and passion has been sapped once shannon left. He knows he screwed up big time.
His biggest achievement is winning 90% of football games. No coach in CFB can do that except Deboer. Not even Saban. Ryan Day didnt lose to Vanderbilt or Louisiana Monroe first year, or Utah. Harbaugh started his career 0-1 at Michigan.
@Harkonnen33778 they were under FBI investigation and had their coach suspended while playing the suckeyes. Cling harder to your excuses. "But but but . . . Guys were sick, but but but it was a new coordinator. But but but it was cheating." Like Dion Sanders said, "I can know every play you're about to run. I still gotta stop you".
@andrewalkema7239 listen it's ok to be Bitchigan Cheaterine fan. Whatever you have to tell yourself to cope with the fact they cheated to get a natty. Other teams have committed way less serious infractions and had to vacate entire seasons.
If Harbaugh was fired just for loosing to that school all those years , Michigan wouldn't have been National champs and 3 straight BiG champs. There coach has done a great job by any other standard besides loosing to the GREATEST university ever. I mean come on they lost only to two 2 straight national champs . !! GO BLUE !!
As much as i can't stand Paul Finebaum, i have to agree with him as a Buckeye fan. If Ohio State loses to TTUN again, at home, Coach Day is gonna be gone!!! He simply cannot afford to lose to them this year with all the talent this team has!!!
Ohio State may not make it to the playoffs after losing the rivalry game if they also take an L to Oregon and an maybe an away game to Washington. Seems like these guys are forgetting the Big 10 has new contenders and it’s not just the Ohio State, Michigan, and occasionally the Penn State show anymore.
Michigan will be better than people believe this year. Its all about defense period! Michigan does NOT rely on QB and WR play but their defense style is designed to shut that down as proved by OSU and Washington last year. In order to beat Michigan, you have to beat them at their own game physically like Georgia did in 2021. Look at Ryan Days record as a HC at OSU. In the big games that matter on the season, he is 1-7 and that speaks VOLUMES and what magnifies it even more is his excuse making year after year . Day did not lose to Harbaugh last year. He lost to Moore
Ohio state really opened up the purse strings this off-season. I expect them to beat Michigan for sure. Michigan lost a lot of key players. If the quarterback works out, season could be good.
Man, who gave P Finebaum the right to voice who should be fired or hired. You're indirectly affecting a family well being and you aren't connected to Ohio State in any meaningful way.
Harbaugh was kept around even when he kept losing to Ohio State, but I think at that time they weren't expected to be beating Ohio State anyway. Regardless Ryan Day definitely needs to win this year
Paul saying the most obvious bleep. Unless ryan day can either: A win the big10 or win the natty, there is no way ryan day survives this season if he loses to mich again.
Probably should’ve been gone last year after the third loss, the only saving grace was the fact that Michigan won the natty. Meaning he could say, “well yeah, we only lost by six to the national champions”. No way he can survive a fourth loss
Which would've been stupid considering he's yet to have a lost to a bad or average team unlike Urban Myer who lost to a bad Purdue, and was blown out by a slightly above average Iowa team. Oregon and Michigan are his only regular season loses in 5 years the rest came in either the playoffs or the bowl game last year yet people are thinking he should've been fired? pssf right
@@michaelphillips2629 I understand the point about how he hasn’t lost to any bad teams, only good teams. And I understand Urban lost to some pretty bad teams. Day has let Michigan beat them 3 years in a row. His record would be praised anywhere else, but unfortunately he’s at Ohio state where beating Michigan is the only thing that matters
People keep talking about if Ohio State loses I’m hear to tell you they might lose one game that’s it at Oregon other than that they have a big dual threat Quarterback with two of the best running backs in college football along with a top receiver and a freshman receiver who might be one of the greatest receiver prospects ever the offensive line is the only concern the defense is absolutely stacked and the best in the country

The 2020 year was cancelled because of COVID, then Harbaugh and Michigan made a turnaround in beating Ryan Day and Ohio State.
lmao. Umich getting blown out by Texas
Great point
Finebaum needs to focus on being a homer for the SEC. And NOT an O-state or big 10 fan
He’s correct with this roster of players, and coaches. Can’t lose to Coach Moore in his first year
That's part of the reason but the biggest reason is Ohio State spending $20 mil on getting the players and it better pay off or else.
Jim Harbaugh is one of the greatest cheaters we've ever seen. There, I fixed it.
Finebaum is morphing into a "tv personality" instead of a rational analyst like once was. He's trying to become the college football's version of Stephen A Smith and I can't stand it.
Yooooo this man been on one 😂😂😂😂.
Fun fact only 4 teams outside of the sec won a championship since 2006 guess Clemson twice , Florida state , Ohio state, Michigan
SEC is garbage outside of the top 2-3 teams.
So says an SEC Homer who’d live nothing more than to have Ryan Day gone! I call BS!
The SEC would love to have Ryan Day stay, they’re 3-0 vs him
😂 I said this would be said when everyone was crying about the 4 team playoff. It goes to 12 next will be it should be 16
He said Michigan should’ve done the same with harbaugh 🤦🏽♂️
Another garbage take by Finebaum. I don't even care about Ohio St but this is a garbage take, but then again, that's Finebaum's bread and butter
Love how the camera shines on Paul Finebaum’s face when SA said Hardbaugh is one of the greatest coaches in football today.😂😂
Does he not remember that Harbaugh got spanked 4 years in a row?
Go Blue! SMASH
I dont understand how the talks isn’t about working towards the Top 25 being in the playoffs. 1st round byes to the top 5 ranked Power 5 schools.
Dear ESPN, can you please give Molly her own show
College ain’t pro playoff or not the rivalries will always matter no matter if you win a title or not
Michigan is going to beat them again. Ryan Day is scared of Michigan and it showed. He better let Chip Kelly have total control this year when they play lol. At least Chip has nothing to lose
Michigan can beat whoever they want except for us. Go Bruins.
Love that discussion 😊😊😊
Finebaum is a complete joke ! Day doesn’t have a good record against Michigan but he does have a great record in all their other games, players to the league, recruiting, etc. You don’t can the guy winning your program 12 games per year on the regular !
The next character might be WAY worse, just ask Tennessee fans how they liked all their coaches after they fired Fulmer. Until Heupel it was a MESS and they would’ve been HAPPY with the 9 wins a year they’d had before. Just saying…
RTR
Any actually competent coach would have won a title with the talent Day has.
U didn't do it's not anyone
Tressel and Meyer each got a ton of chances and ultimately bagged one each
Y'all say that like other teams don't have equally as much or more talent.
Bruh thinks everyone should be fired…Riley, Day, Kelly….who’s gonna tell him he should be fired
Ohio state is cooked.
Crazy how Harbaugh gets -- so much credit -- @ SF for 'almost' winning the Super Bowl (!) -- but -- Ryan Day doesn't deserve any credit for 'almost' beating Georgia ? 🤔
Bruh if ESPN didn’t like fumbling the bag they would bury Fox sports 1 if they got skip and Shannon to squash the beef on air
Well for 1 its not gonna mean much. 2. Stephen a doesnt want skip back because he's running the show now and 3. Even if they agreed to do it, i feel skip's heart isnt in it anymore. His energy and passion has been sapped once shannon left. He knows he screwed up big time.
It’s already been said that ESPN is out of the Skip Bayless business
Finebum is becoming even more of a joke than he already has been.
Ryan Day’s biggest achievement is losing to Georgia, they’re still bragging about losing 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Not one person is bragging about that
😂😂😂😂😂
His biggest achievement is winning 90% of football games. No coach in CFB can do that except Deboer. Not even Saban. Ryan Day didnt lose to Vanderbilt or Louisiana Monroe first year, or Utah. Harbaugh started his career 0-1 at Michigan.
Michigan has been better the last few years. These things run in cycles.
Cheating certainly helps
@Harkonnen33778 they were under FBI investigation and had their coach suspended while playing the suckeyes. Cling harder to your excuses. "But but but . . . Guys were sick, but but but it was a new coordinator. But but but it was cheating." Like Dion Sanders said, "I can know every play you're about to run. I still gotta stop you".
@andrewalkema7239 😅thats a bs take. Any advantage not allowed is against the rules and you call us charmin soft
@andrewalkema7239 listen it's ok to be Bitchigan Cheaterine fan. Whatever you have to tell yourself to cope with the fact they cheated to get a natty. Other teams have committed way less serious infractions and had to vacate entire seasons.
@@wattsinc.Has anything been proven? . . . I'll wait
Only thing worse than listening to PF is listening to Scamala’s word salads.
WHAT!?! Did Stephen A just say "and Tulsa the year before that"........
56-8
No way you fire a a coach (aside from off the field issues) after a start like that.
If Harbaugh was fired just for loosing to that school all those years , Michigan wouldn't have been National champs and 3 straight BiG champs. There coach has done a great job by any other standard besides loosing to the GREATEST university ever. I mean come on they lost only to two 2 straight national champs . !! GO BLUE !!
1?. With zero possibility of 2.
Most people in college football team and just can’t believe it that can’t people are going down for college football team and just have fun
Ohio state really opened up the purse strings this off-season. I expect them to beat Michigan for sure. Michigan lost a lot of key players. If the quarterback works out, season could be good.
This show is a fake take BS show.. not football nuts and bolts, only talking points from people who never played the game.
Man, who gave P Finebaum the right to voice who should be fired or hired. You're indirectly affecting a family well being and you aren't connected to Ohio State in any meaningful way.
finebaum is good at giving cfb fans a reality check
If day loses to Michigan without harbaugh he’s definitely getting fired
He already did last year GO BLUE !!!〽️〽️〽️
So losing by 6 points bc of a last second interception in the big house is being dominated. GOT IT.
Maybe harbaugh will hire day as an offensive analyst for the chargers next year
Harbaugh was kept around even when he kept losing to Ohio State, but I think at that time they weren't expected to be beating Ohio State anyway. Regardless Ryan Day definitely needs to win this year
Unless your name is Saban Paul has nothing positive to say.
Well luckily you don’t gotta worry about that this year Paul
We don’t care what you think about a Big Ten coach let alone what you think should happen concerning The Game.
I don't have Michigan as a lock to make the playoffs this year, at all... not sure why they feel so confident about it.
and Lane Kiffin should be gone if he loses to 'Bama this year.
@@petewilcox3354 lmao ole miss fans smoking that ROCK
@@voiceofreason2674 this is our year.
Did Finebaum play football? He prolly couldn't get a helmet over those ear's if he wanted to...😂😂😂
Paul saying the most obvious bleep.
Unless ryan day can either: A win the big10 or win the natty, there is no way ryan day survives this season if he loses to mich again.
41-3 against the big 10 stop it! We love u coach
However, when you get the job at Ohio State, the ONLY thing that matters is beating Michigan. And that’s the only thing Urban did when he was at Ohio State. Never lost to them.
Ryan “It’s Ohio vs the world, it’s always been Ohio vs the world” Day.
Paul Finebaum is very educated on the sport of college football but since last season, I feel like a lot of his takes are just shots at ppls jobs and that's not cool..
He is educated he never uses it. Check his past videos he glazes sec and disrespects everyone else. He even dogged on Michigan
