the light sensor is built in to the controller, you put your controller on the desk where you need to measure the ambient light in order to active the autodimming function. if everything is built in to the light, you won't get the most accurate measurement since the light is on top of your screen. but actually BenQ has another model which with everything built in to the light, it costs 99 euro
Hey, cool review of an interesting product! This would be the kind of thing that would benefit from some time. If you’re still using it after a month because it’s added that much value to your setup, or if you used it a couple days only to never use it again would be very valuable info. If this was sent to you for a limited time before you had to give it back, then fair enough. Maybe they’d be receptive to requests for holding onto products for longer-term reviews though! I think you make a good point on integration - it would look a lot cleaner. Benq probably designed it this way to make it as compatible as possible with as many monitor setups as possible, but if they made the lamp with a small cable and provided an extension in the box, they’d get the best of both worlds, though probably with a small price increase for the extension cable! I’m all about reducing eye strain, but this would have to be a very compelling product to take up the position on a monitor that is very popular with webcams. Maybe a webcam would fit on the top of it somehow, but I feel it’s going to make this a harder sell for people like myself.
I will continue to use this lamp, but I have to figure out how power it in a clean way. Maybe I'll just use a phone charger and a power brick under my desk.
I think i found it.. you have have Wallpaper Engine first which you buy on Steam (3:99 USD) and the wallpaper is 'Firewatch real time day/night cycle': steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1744170047&searchtext=
Hello, sir, I think it’s inappropriate to put this screen light on your curved screen.I have a curved monitor light is specially designed and produced by us for curved screens. We are confident that it will be quite a unique product, and this new design concept will become a new trend, so before launching it, we hope to get the support of strong promoters.
Considering the 16k subscribers you got, the way you film is bad (angles etc), + audio is missing on the right side of the ear. (I'm just trying to help), other than that, very cool product, thanks for that. Have a great day

Is it still possible to mount on top a webcam, for instance a Logitech Brio? If so, how does the light affects a webcam video stream quality?

Cool product, but €135 sounds like a lot for a USB LED light with color temperature control...
I got the same screen lamp from rozetka for 29 usd lol
Where did you get your desktop wallpaper? I love it!
The length of the Screenbar is too short compared to the monitor. BenQ should produce other screenbar to accommodate ultra wide screen such as 34inch
I guess it doesn't matter if the screenbar length is short or long, it depends on whether it gives you enough light coverage of your desk.
Hi, I have a very thin hp monitor. It’s very very thin. Do you think this could still fit my monitor?
why is it called e-reader though?
1 Ampere usb charge adapter can also temporary do the job of power bank.
But yeah, absolutely benq monitor need a usb port for screen bar light
for a second I was thinking your lamp changed the color on the monitor but it is animated
Great review
i use the same wallpaper as you but not the animated version. where did u get that from?
