Yaaaay, I tell people to do it this way, too. I just went thought it with my 4 y/o female - only differences, I got a young male and I used a pheromone collar. I got him tested for FIV and FeLV and then I fed them on either side of the door to his temporary room. They're doing ok. yes, they run around a 5am now, but she's still miffed I brought a new one home.
