Your tutorials have saved me from being overwhelmed with Canvas LMS. Now I feel like a fish under water. And this back up of courses strategies, LOVE. Gotta do it for future education journeys 💖🙌🏻

Ahhh I’m so glad I could help! You can do this! One day at a time and one course at a time. Just keep swimming 🐠 🎣

Good idea about backing up your courses! That is why I keep my online instructional videos as unpublished videos on RUclips. It would be nice to use my schools video storage because students don't have to deal with commercials or falling down random rabbit holes, but I rather they suffer the commercials and rabbit holes than I lose all my work if they decide not to rehire me one semester. My school just switched from Blackboard to Brightspace and I think it probably would have been easier to rebuild in Brightspace using your system rather than importing everything and fixing mistakes.

I hear you on this with videos. I have done similar with a few courses as well. I wish RUclips didn’t put ads on channels that weren’t monetized but they shifted that to all video content a few years ago. I used to host some videos on RUclips back when they had no ads on channels not with the partner program here and it was great .

@@VirtualTeachingPro Oh yes, I remember that. For years I said I would never monetize my videos so that there were never commercials, but after they started putting commercials on everything, it doesn't matter. LOL! I am still not monetized but if I can I will. 😊 And one note, I don't know if I have this wrong but it seems like the videos I embed in Blackboard or Brightspace don't play commercials if watch in the embedded state.

Very helpful. I went through this when my institution moved from Black Board to Canvas. Even though they moved my past courses to Canvas all of the content I created was gone. But, it is a good lesson learned and this advice helps me in so many ways so that will not happen again. THANK YOU!!
