Just purchased mine a few weeks ago and after using OLED I'll never go back to anything less. For anyone who has a (high end computer), you deserve a good OLED monitor and should make this your next purchase.
I was considering this until I read about the lack of firmware updates (I heard already rectified) and that it's in white (yes I'm so superficial lol). I got the DWF because I realized I've always left GSync off in my previous GSync-equipped X34 Acer Predator - I don't like a "locked" framerate as I'd prefer to see the maximum framerate the 3080Ti/4090 was capable of. Surprisingly the DW actually lacked certain features that the cheaper DWF has - PinP and two DP ports. This is my first OLED monitor and its certainly mind-blowing how vibrant the colors are and how stunning HDR looks.
I bought the DWF, good gracious, this screen obliterates my IPS panels, it aint even funny, just a different realm altogether. The color accuracy, the black levels (oh dear those black levels) the contrast, the responsiveness, it is absolutely sublime coming from IPS. Based on the RTINGS stress test (which is very extreme and completely different of my own usage: relatively low brightness, exclusively for gaming, I estimate a usage of 1000-1200 hour a year max, ) I am confident I can use this screen for well over 3 years so I can buy the next generation Oled. For me personally thois acceptable. I uinderstand those who want to wait for burn in issues being mostly solved when tech evolves, but oh boy it is beautiful. Can not ever go back to ips from now on.

I like the immersiveness of the 32", but I've been considering a 4K "34. My gpu is a RTX 4080, cpu 5800x3d, I game at high and ultra settings, and yes I am still on the AM4 platform :). Obviously an QD-OLED monitor is top tier, and makes a huge difference in visual clarity, especially the "deep blacks" and contrast...how you captured the "God of War" content and demonstrating that is amazing. I had to pause and stop to comment here, because I am sitting here like "Wow!!". Thank you for the inspiration and happy holidays!!

Just picked one up for Black Friday deal. I’m looking forward to the motion clarity. Most people say it’s really noticeable how much better the motion is compared to other monitors.
Man that monitor is so nice. I have the Razer Raptor and have really been wanting to get an ultra wide so AlienWare is definitely on the table after watching this!

I was also looking at the lg ultrawide oled because of the 240hz .do you think this one at 165hz is good enough for playing cod and fortnite at a more competitive level

Not really I feel good about my purchase. 4K is great but to me this ultra wide is better for gaming. I will still get the 4K panel when it’s time though.

From the research I’ve done, I’ve heard the HDR was brighter with the DW model, however the DWF model allows you to upgrade your firmware yourself. Choice is totally up to your. I was lucky enough to get a model manufactured in Aug 2023. I’ve had no complaints.
@@WiLcreatives That's what I heard too, I saw that they added an update to the HDR in the latest firmware and that is supposedly fixes the HDR issue to be the same as the older, DW model, but I have no clue if that's actually true.
Buying the AW3423DWF six months ago was the best grand I have spent in ages. Next year, the Sony A95L is in my sights. I fkn love OLED.

Nice yeah it’s definitely noticeable. Feels more like a 240hz monitor vs the 175hz it’s outputting.
