Another GREAT review and flight as always RICH. Great camera work STEVE.. BEAUTIFUL PLANE ♥️🛬🛩️🚁✈️🛫🇬🇧👍🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE ♥️🎄
Rich. Excellent flight. 👍👍 Love the show bird color scheme on this one. Eflite keeps making them better. Hope you and your family- Including Steve have a Merry Christmas 🎄🌴🎄and Happy New Year💥🎉
Been flying this warbird in Realflight 9.5 and even though I land it 100% of the time, it was impossible to do without bouncing it like you did. Took lots of practice to get to land smoothly without the bounce. It’s hard to master, but I’m working on it, still only landing it without a bounce 1 out of 4 landings. The key is about 1/3 throttle with full flaps as I shallow glide down and cutting throttle just before the wheels touch. Hardest plane to land smoothly in Realflight for me so far.
Really loving your videos man. You are really active lately and its nice to get your perspective on things and see you fly stuff. You're a really good pilot and you show what a plane is capable of with a seasoned guy a the controls. Like you said in the video "everybody says its hard to land on pavement" yet with some rudder skills...which you have...not hard at all. I see so many guys saying planes are hard to takeoff/land or are squirrelly or whatever complaint they may have. I feel you give the good pilot/experienced set up skills version of things and thats important. The owner/ flyer experience is different for different skill levels of people. Someone that doesn't have much set up experience or is a lower skill pilot may give an opinion that isn't a good example of what someone else may experience with the same plane. In my opinion...and this is MY opinion...not gospel (not trying to ruffle anybody's feathers)...so in my opinion the best reviews come from guys like you that can get all the plane has to offer when its properly set up and flown. I think its important to know weather or not the plane is capable...or if it my be a lack of technique or skill that give it a bad showing. If the plane can't fly well period...thats bad...nothing can be done with a terrible plane, but if the pilot needs some work...that can be fixed.
Great video. Beautiful model. Watching someone with your skill level struggling a little landing a warbird in the wind I don't feel so bad when I struggle with it. Can you help me find parts for the Unique F4U. Any info would be appreciated.
At 13:26, I have had that same clicking noise with my Mustang and I discovered it was the strut cover on the landing gear not closing flush with the base of the wing, which creates air flow into the wheel well; that makes the cover flap up and down. I know it, because I don’t hear that noise when the gear is down.
I’m an intermediate pilot (approx 15 planes ) but I’ve never flown a P51... would you recommend this one to me as a first p51? My highest performance planes are the v900 and Eflite Viper and the Carbon Z Cessna. I also fly off of grass.
I have an old Lanyu models 1450mm P51, no flaps, np gyro, had it for 5 years, easy to fly just hold the tail down before touching the throttle when flying off grass, feed in a bit of right rudder and away you go. fms or eflite at this size depends on how much you want to spend. Gyros and safe not really necessary with a P51 it depends on what you are comfortable with.
You have got it TRUTH. IF YOU can fly those other planes this one will be no issue. I'm really wanting it myself. The trigger finger is getting itchy on this one. 👍👍😉✌✌
@@RCINFORMER I appreciate that … I’ve been flying for about 5 years off of grass with various planes: Viper 70mm, v900, 1.2 Corsair ( still trying to keep it from nosing over upon landing), Avanti, Eflite A10, Air Tractor, Cirrus, Cherokee, etc. Do you think this p-51 could be my first p-51 flying off of grass?
Hey guys here's an open invitation to participate in a virtual Fun Fly in Real Flight Multiplayer 1/24/22 field "Montana Madness" every Tuesday night 9pm-10:15pm. It's a lot of fun with RC pilots from all over the world. Spread the word.
Nice video. ..but I dont like the blue color ..it give it a toy look. And the blue wave also destroy the look/shape on the plane. I wish them made more in WW II colors.
Hey Rich, great flying - as usual! I managed to get my hands on the FMS version of this P-51, doesn't have SMART but still flies amazingly well - check it out here ruclips.net/video/GB7P2cTMLaE/видео.html. Cheers from Sydney, AUS!
@@RCINFORMER Speaking for myself, you don't grab my attention with graphic overlays, in fact you loose it. What grabs my attention is the amazing skills of the pilot and the aircraft he is flying. This is the reason I don't subscribe and only watched a some of the videos.
As usual you knock it out the park with a very thorough review!! No one can do it like you man!! Good job!!
Awesome flight. I still need to maiden mine.
Merry Christmas! Great flying...as always.

the wheels are hard and great on grass, softer tires are best on pavement!

Thanks for the great comment! I just keep it real and truthful!
Rich this was a really great review the vertical blew me away and the landings spectacular 😀
Awesome Rich! What size prop blades are they? just wondering if they are the same as FMS P51?
Have a Merry Christmas to you and the family Rich !! Stay safe !! Wilson White Owl , (North Dakota )
For warbirds, is there a big difference in flying 1.5M as opposed to 1.2M?
AS3X sure does settle it in...Merry Christmas...
Which one would you recommend for lush grass, this one or the 1.1 FMS Reno racers?
I always enjoy watching your videos .....Happy holidays

Hi, may I know the wingspan of this aircraft with removable parts of the wings detached? 😊 thanks!

Nice bird . Merry Christmas
I put the AR637T in my fmsp51 gotta dial it in
HI, Is there any chance of getting the DX9 setup file you have, Having issues setting up the DX9 for safe and asx
Have you tried it on grass? Thanks
Yes! It's excellent on grass!
How does this compare to the Fms 1700mm
It's quite a bit faster & a more modern design..... the FMS 1700mm flys more scale... both are great models!
@@RCINFORMER yes great advice I do like the bigger wingspan but the e flite is very nice also
Hello Rich! Do you have grass ops for this Eflite p51 1.5?
I know I filmed some, it's very good on grass. I'll see if I can get it posted

Hi,verry nice video!! what is the smallest Lipo I can use in this P51? Is 4000 OK?
Thank you.
4000 should work fine! just check the CG before you fly it:)
Thank yo! ,this sounds great. I like it little bit more with less weight... :-)
@@georged.1439 You can use a 3200 as well, just check the CG. It MAY need some nose weight with a light battery but the AS3X may compensate.
Great, thanks a lot! .... maybe I will use a 3500-4000mah Lipo with soundsimulator in front as weight....
Hello, do you know the weight of the smart 5000 lipo you used? Thanks
