Honestly man, your videos are just insane. I don't think there's another wildlife youtuber that I look forward to more.
I've been obsessed with wildlife since I was a kid, I've even done a lot of the things in your videos as my own trips. So I hope that you know that even the most serious of wildlife nerds looks forward to every upload.
Every time I'm out hunting rarities in the UK I've got you in mind, hoping that I'm looking on the same day so that I can tell you face to face how much I appreciate your work.
Also... I think that Hides are fine, personally. The only issue is when it's baited. I always feel slightly like I've achieved less when there's bait.
I remember the first time I saw Red Squirrels (Since I was young) in an Airbnb near Castle Douglas. The feeder was what drew them in... I felt like I couldn't tick them off my list.
This is just a personal thing.
Me to
Exactly, I saw a sand lizard on shell island North Wales and was amazed! Most people i told thought i was nuts lol.
This really means a lot, thank you man ❤️
“Congratulations everyone, we’ve done it. “ Sorry, I just can’t let it die
I really should’ve said that for the Capercaillie part 😂
@@WildlifeWithCookieit would’ve been epic to have it on video of him behind you and you saying it😂
😂😂
For the hide stuff. This spring I spent ages in a red squirrel hide and saw nothing. 5 min after stepping outside I was surrounded with wildlife, including being scolded by a pair of red squirrels
The footage you caught of the wild cat at the end was well worth all your time and effort. We'll done!
Could have said SPOILER ALERT lol
I enjoyed the video but I wouldn't be promoting or trying to find Capercaillie in the UK at the moment. They get stressed easily by human's and the population is critical. There have been big steps put in place to stop people visiting them. You would be better off going to Scandinavia to see them as their population is much healthier.
The country is full of trampling idiots....
Great video mate, so pleased for you too. Incredible effort paid off !
cant believe that is the UK lol
Hey, I've been watching your content for a little bit and I love it. I was wondering if you could do a short video showcasing the various equipment you use and what would be recommended to get into videography/photography of wildlife. Amazing content though keep it up
I’ll get something sorted!
I love your content, you take us to some of the most beautiful places in the UK
Thank you ♥️
Nice, congrats on finding these rare gems and awesome video, really good one.
The natural beauty you have captured in such high quality is awesome, thanks for all the uploads!
Great video, so lucky to have seen both these beautiful animals. 😊
I used to have a Scottish Wildcat × Maine. Most intelligent & loyal cat i've ever had. Was a rescue cat but wasn't supposed to let her out because of the breed. Wasn't aggressive though, used to sleep in between our 2 pugs & walk round the garden with them
Incredible scenes! Nice one. As ever, excellent. And as others have commented, big fan of the longer videos. Always a treat
Cheers mate, means a lot! I'll endeavour for longer vids
Lovely video to watch while relaxing with a joint on a Sunday, cheers cookie 🦌🦃🍂
Class video as always cookie, buzzing for you that you got to see both animals
cheers mate, was unreal I can't lie
Your excitement is contagious! I always enjoy treking with you!!
That capercaillie was ready to knock you out 😂
Absolutely thrilled for you getting the caper! My most wanted bird in the UK: only tried once, and heard one fly from a tree but otherwise never got a sniff. Your patience is incredible! Well done!
Get out there again mate! It's all about the adventure
Amazing Work Cookie, Love Your Videos. I Also Try To Look For A Wild Cat Where That Car Was Last Week. No Luck Though Only A Roe Buck. Watching This Making Me Want To Head Back Up.
You should try find the allusive wild haggis
That was brilliant! I'm glad I took the time out to watch this and now know I need to get myself up there soon!
Thanks mate, It’s 100% worth a visit!
Oh my god that red stag skull is so cool
Congratulations cookie soo happy for you mate
Love those low angle shots of the capercaillie….. congrats!!!
started to worry that I had watched a 30-minute video with no capercaillie or wildcat 😅 but them shots were so beautiful! Great work as always!
Not long ago I came across a picture of a hazel grouse in Belgium from around 30 years ago. I did some research and found out they have gone extinct in Belgium and Luxembourg but it’s thought they still live in France, but I think experts concluded that the subspecies western hazel grouse is functionally extinct and is likely going to be actually extinct in the next few years. This capercaillie part reminded me of those grouse, would be awesome to see you make a video about the elusive western hazel grouse (Tetrastes bonasia rhenana)👀
Also just watched till the end, didn’t expect that, really awesome video 🤩
I went to cairngorms quite recently didn’t even know they were that big
I am so thrilled you got to see a Capercaillie. I've wanted to see one for decades. I am so excited for you. I can't even imagine how amazing that interaction must have been. Seeing one in the distance would be exciting enough, but that must have been such a special experience.
To see a Scottish Wildcat too. Wow! What a trip.
I cant wait ti visit that centre. It looks really good
This made me smile so much when he was pissed with u lmao
Amazing trip let alone the results, thanks for sharing
Got wild peacocks in a town next to where I live. Corsham
Congratulations! Awesome work!
Thanks for another great video.I look every day to see if you have a new one out.
I think the best time to see birds are early in the morning like 4 or 5 in the morning. I think you are making way too much noise 😅to see anything
If you ever want to be spotted by a wolf, wearing a Lakers t-shirt is perfect for the wolves colour vision. 👀🐺
Love your videos
Cheers from Denmark 🇩🇰
Amazing content bro really enjoyed watching the vid! You are a great presenter to watch and i loved the video. Please Keep posting!!! Have a awesome day :)
Such beautiful creatures, amazing video ❤
NO WAYYYYY! The Capercaillie is one of my dream birds I want to see someday! Just INCREDIBLE. Well done Cookie! Sheesh!
YIPEEEEE NEW WILDLIFE WITH COOKIE VID
I would love to see that car, it’s so cool.
Such great content Cookie ❤
19:27 nah mate it’s not cheating when you’ve already done all that graft, especially considering your trip earlier in year
What a brilliant videos great work
I have already seen this video and it is the avengers of wildlife RUclips videos!!!
❤️❤️
I would be happy to see a Pine Marten as I’ve never seen one on trips to Scotland.
Dude i think thats just a normal tabby cat 😂😂😂
What is the name of the hide you were at?
That animal in the bush could have been a muntjac Deer they are very small and hide in stuff like that but I don’t know if they are in that area
Do videos about sharks and dolphins in uk rivers including the river thames
Fantastic work cookie👏🏼 🍪
Brilliant well done it mite be better to put some oily fish out as bait Mackerel were your cameras are in the forest theyl smell it and be drawn in to it I've used it and scatter the oil out of the tin as well every carnerviror in the area will be on it I used it to film stoats and cats have showed up ye bettering ye chances on filming them brilliant vid thanks for sharing
Great video mate love the longer videos 👍
I know you went to London to see the parakeets a while ago but there seems like there also in Oxford as well. me my sister and my mum have been hearing and seeing the for a while whilst walking and i finally got a picture of a couple annoyingly there not very good as i took them on my phone.
Thought that just looked like the european garden spider 🤔
loool the 6'2 joke
Amazing. Top stuff
It is doubtful that there are any Wildcats left, they have released hybrids which almost guarantees the extinction of any Wildcats tat are left.
Congrats man!! Awesome video! What an adventure!
I really love animals but where i live there’s like no animals and I’m always sad about it
Instead of using a normal torch 🔦 flashlight try using a red light instead as it's not as strong and any animals you find or see will not run sprint trot of or away
So happy for you.
Cookie spoiling us with a 30+ min video ♡
Brilliant
Car is amazing
37 mins long😍 can't wait to watch
Hope it was worth it!
@WildlifeWithCookie 100%! Really great video, can't believe you saw both - I had given up hope for the Wildcat at the end, as I'm sure you had too!!
I know they interbreed with feral cats quite frequently. What are the key differences between the two to allow for ID?
Thanks mate! It's hard searching for Wildcat, I think it's very easy to get down about finding nothing. The tail is the biggest giveaway but Saving Wildcats have a good ID page here - savingwildcats.org.uk/about-saving-wildcats/have-you-seen-a-wildcat/
Maybe a ferrit
Absolutely cracking work Cookie. What a wonderful little video.
6:22 A woman stalking you 😮
Is using a hide cheating? Absolutely not! Some creatures are pretty unapproachable . They hear you coming and are off long before you see them. Camera traps and hides are the only way you can get to see some of the more elusive creatures.
Such a great video Cookie!! 😆
It was one of those that attacked Attenborough. You’re in the best company! Well done. Excellent video.
I’m pretty those are house cats 🐈⬛ lol
Epic
The epic Cookie has gone n done it yet again, WOOHOOOOOO wtg you,,, Absolutely fantastic video mate,, So pleased ya found one,,,, Love the SWC,,, epic epic epic,,,, Thank you for taking us along with you on this magical experience ,,,
You lucky bastard… 😭
Definitely not cheating, just a helping hand.
Moans about the noise from forestry works, yet whilst out at night he made enough noise to alert the whole forest of his approach, hence he saw nothing. Most people try to move as quietly as possible to maximise the chance of seeing something but not this guy, let’s just talk as loudly as normal while trying to find 2 of the most elusive animals in the area.
Love the videos mate but I’m getting the impression you may be scaring off a lot of wildlife. You’re heavy footed and loud voiced when talking to the camera.
I’d suggest learning how to stalk game. Some people are so good at it they can walk right up to wild deer without the deer realising they’re even there.
When you’re actually out in the field looking for species I’d rather hear a voiceover or quiet whispering with subtitles.
Can’t imagine many animals are going to stick around when they can hear you stomping along and shouting at a camera from a mile away.
6:22 bottom left ??
Capercaillie is beyond cool. But just me or I wouldn’t know if that was a tabby or a Scottish wild cat. 🤣🤷♂️
Their tail is more bushy and their face is squarer.
It's gunna sound a bit wanky but when you see it in person, your brain tells you straight away it's different - it doesn't come through on camera that way though
I know you're skeptical, but I'm convinced there's going to be undeniable photographic evidence of a big cat soon. We've had DNA, toothpits, and some decent bits of footage in recent years albeit no footage that can be completely unmistakable
They could both do without this
Stay away from these creatures....Dont be a jerk....
if you have a thermal, you don't need the torch which gives you away....
First
Second 😅
Garden Spider or Cross Orbweaver
I don't understand why you didn't use food to lure them to the camera
