At least Jeanne wasn't TRULY alone. She had Madama Styx to fight alongside her. Remember that when you are fighting a witch, it's not one person you're against, but TWO. The witch and their pact partner.
Those fists and heels you summon are portals for the demon to deliver a blow.
So, just remember that anytime you use a wicked weave, the witch's contracted demon is on the other side throwing those kicks and punches alongside her.

Jeanne has a history of fighting armies of enemies, even though Bayonetta is more powerful since she’s A mixture of light and dark (left eye and such) Jeanne being fully umbra (dark) surprisingly keeps up all on her own. Eve though she is second to bayo Jeanne has held it down for her “more or less” Umbran sister !

I think in a tweet, the creator said Bayonetta created an alternate timeline, but the changes affected her anyway or something. I found the quote "Kamiya: Well, another axis of time has been created so we have parallel worlds going on. So Bayo's world is Bayo's world, separate from this new world. The Eyes of the World are probably the only ones affected by both worlds." Bayonetta created another timeline in which that version of her didn't give up, but because she's one of the eyes of the world she gained the memories of that version of Bayonetta, is my interpretation of the tweet

If it helps: The "seductive" nature of her moves and personality just seems to mostly be her general character, and the guns on the shoes are a standard part of the Umbra Witch combat style, Jeanne, her mother and all the other Umbra Witches we see in combat, sport similar weapon loadouts.

Pathalogic is basically a prank of a story. They have you play their long game to unravel the story only the pull the rug out underneath you by flatout saying the agency and story freedom you were looking for was silly to begin with because you go in knowing everything is part of a written story with a planned ending. • @TuxedAaron

First of all, let me just say, VERY GOOD. I am all levels of impressed. You not only untangled the twists and turns of Bayonetta's story, but you clearly and concisely laid it out for anyone who might have played the games, but gotten lost along along the way. And believe me when I tell you, not everyone gets it right. Or at the very least, they don't present it anywhere nearly as succinctly as you did.
If you don't mind, though, I think I might be able to fill in the blanks on a couple of questions you still had, regarding the story. The big one being, how was Bayonetta trained as an Umbra Witch when it was forbidden by the Clan? Well, there actually IS an answer to this, it's just only very subtly hinted at. When we go back to the first cutscene of "Chapter II - Vigrid: City of Deja Vu", in the first game, Bayonetta has a memory flashback to Jeanne's initiation into the Umbra Witch Clan. The Elder allows her to challenge any member to the Ceremonial Combat, but Jeanne shocks everyone in the room by challenging Cereza/Bayonetta instead. The Elder objects, since Cereza was fathered by a Lumen Sage and thus, was forbidden to be trained in the Umbran arts. But Jeanne stuns everyone still further when she announces, "This would not be the first time we have faced each other". Of course, this doesn't make a lot of sense at first, until later on, when it's revealed that Cereza and Jeanne were not rivals, but in fact, had been best friends since childhood. So when we read between the lines, the truth becomes apparent. JEANNE trained Cereza while they were growing up together. That's why their fighting styles are similar and why most of their Demon Summons are the same.
I mean, it just makes sense. When Jeanne began her training and saw that Cereza wasn't included, well, think like you would when you were little. If you saw that your friend was being left out of something, you wouldn't think that was fair, would you? I'm sure that plenty of members of the clan tried to warn Jeanne, but being a little girl, she was far too young to understand what they were talking about. So, with a child's desire to be a good friend, every time she learned something new, she immediately turned around and taught it to Cereza.
It's also why Jeanne specifically challenged Cereza to the Ceremonial Combat. The night was SUPPOSED to be all about Jeanne's induction into the Umbra Witch Clan. But Jeanne saw an opportunity and decided to flip the script, making the night CEREZA'S induction as well...to show everyone that this woman, who they all thought was so beneath them, was just as good as the best of them, if not better. Again, Jeanne didn't make the challenge out of rivalry, but out of friendship.
That was really the main plot hole I wanted to fill. But there are a couple lesser ones I wanted to discuss as well. The first one being the question of how the timeline isn't altered, toward the end of the first game, despite crucial changes having been apparently made to the timeline...most notably Cereza being sealed away for 500 years.
First of all, I'm just going to say, your account of Jeanne sealing Cereza away...you totally NAILED that. Of all the plot points in Bayonetta that people tend to get wrong, that's a BIG one. But you saw through it. Jeanne didn't seal Cereza out of jealousy or fear or even responsibility to the Clan. The truth is, in a really twisted way...she did it out of love. Because in her mind, she was thinking, "If anyone's going to sacrifice my best friend to save her soul, it's gonna be ME".
That being said, let's move on to what I WANTED to talk about. But first, a bit of a disclaimer. Unlike the first point I discussed here, regarding Bayonetta's training, I have no evidence, directly or indirectly, that supports anything I'm about to say. It remains my own personal theory. But it's a theory that, for all intents and purposes, would appear to suit the available facts.
Now, when the timeline shifts and Cereza ends up not being sealed away by Jeanne, basically, there are two interpretations for this event, both revolving around the fact that the Eyes of the World are the Overseers of History, so they can peer into time. One is that Balder brought Cereza forward in time to interact with her older self because that's what he saw happen and that interaction was essential for Bayonetta to remember what truly happened that night. Because she encountered her future self, it gave her the confidence to move forward and fight on after her mother was killed. So the initial flashback of Jeanne sealing her away that night was just a distorted memory and the final flashback with her and Jeanne standing together to fight off the invasion was her TRUE memory coming to the surface at last. The other interpretation is that Jeanne truly DID seal Cereza that night and Balder had her younger self interact with Bayonetta in order to give her the confidence boost that allowed her change her own history.
Personally, my heart wants to believe that the former is the true interpretation, but my head keeps telling me that it's most likely the latter. In any case, both roads lead to the same destination, which is that Cereza wasn't Sealed at that precise moment, and that she and Jeanne escaped from the Angels' raid, which would seem to track with the events of the introductory cutscene, at the very start of the game. But in the aftermath, a new problem has arisen. Because Cereza had awakened to her power as an Overseer, she understood that her Sealing was a fixed point in history and something that still had to happen in order for the timeline to unfold as it should (damn those pesky predestination paradoxes). So even though they'd narrowly avoided catastrophe, Jeanne had to Seal her anyway. Something which we can imagine must have been truly heartbreaking for Jeanne. After all, it was one thing to do it in the heat of the moment. She could have done it then. But to do it later, to have to look her in the eye, maybe even have Cereza give her a loving smile right before the knife was plunged into her heart. The emotional devastation must have been almost unbearable*.
(*That also explains a lot, regarding Jeanne's actions in the first game, because it wasn't just her memories being manipulated, but her emotions as well. All this rage she had against Bayonetta, yet at the same time, all this nurturing guidance...it all basically stemmed from the same feelings...a woman who, after 500 years of loneliness, just really, Really, REALLY wanted her best friend back.)
That's pretty much everything I wanted to bring up, regarding plot holes in the first game. I mean, I could also talk about that point, before Jeanne's brainwashing, when she was in Japan, working as an English teacher, while at night, using her Umbran Witch powers to battle evil as the super hero, Cutie J. But I have no doubt that since your research was this thorough, you already came across it. And while it's really little more than a humorous little aside, I just thought I'd suggest that it would explain how Balder had managed to track Jeanne down, after 500 years. Just sayin'.
Anyway, that brings me to the end of this long discussion. I hope you found it interesting and even insightful. Thanks for listening. ^_^

      From what i understand:
Bayonetta taught Cereza to keep what she loved close to her, this was her Umbran Watch, the symbol of a witches identity. When Cereza grew up, she kept that in mind. And kept her identity as a witch separate to her identity as a daughter. This meant that Rosa’s death did not affect her as badly as it once did. When Jeanne tries to seal her memories through the sacred dagger, the Umbran Watch protecting her heart had stopped her. Instead, the two remaining Umbran Sisters fought against the radiance of God.
