it's a strong testament to the IMSA leadership and staff that, thank the good lord, no one has gotten seriously hurt from the crashes. and also to the crew of the racing teams as well. good work all!
Thank you, IMSA. I am really grateful to you for this upload and all the other coverage you provided for fans in this difficult year. I have loved American sports car racing since I bought my first copy of Road and Track magazine in Petersfield, England way back in 1966. It had a fabulous article about the Fords at Le Mans showing a "computer programme pattern" for the Le Mans circuit in an article headed, "Did Ford win Le Mans in Dearborn?" and I became hooked. Can-Am only made me keener!! You have helped make 2020 just a little bit better! Again, thank you! Thanks too to all who participated, particularly the manufacturers. No racing could happen without them and they often get overlooked as drivers become stars, so to all the manufacturers and their sponsors, thank you.
I love IMSA ! This was a fantastic race ! Two in a row, Road Atlanta was a great race as well. The cars I was pulling for didn't win but in the three competitive classes, there were epic battles. Please resurface Sunset corner! Please let the IMSA radio talent be the broadcast voice on NBC (I know, I know..). I look forward to next year .
Great race. Will enjoy reliving this one. Great way to end the season. Hopefully get back to normal next year. Looking forward to Daytona already. Thanks again IMSA.
This should gain a little more traction for a Rumble! RUclips has been large for atleast 15 years now that I've been watching... its not an easy change to completely commit to
My question to IMSA and my fellow race fans is ... how long will it be before IMSA introduce a rule that says All New race cars have to be totally Electric .. and what could they look like ? ?. I love the sound of an engine and I really think all racing formats will be losing something very Human When the EV takes those sounds away. Thank you once again to the whole IMSA team for producing such wonderful sounds and vision for everyone to enjoy .... this is my 6th season of watching IMSA in all it`s formats and I really think you people put on a great show. Stay safe Everyone and Greetings from York. England. Now the racing is over ... let the testing and seat hopping begins.
BMW leading GTLM. Ferrari leading GTD. I am happy. Very happy. Then along comes Mr Aschenbach...... Such a fantastic series subjected to the vagaries of such amateurish driving on occasion.
The fresh paint looks sharp, if a little out-of-place on the old, bumpy concrete. No matter, though; I'm sure 12 hours' worth of Michelin rubber will remedy that issue.
******************** Serious Note to the Camera Crews and those in Control of the Shots being Displayed. WHY DO WE NEED TO SEE THE TRACK FROM 10,000 FEET UP?! Nobody can see what's going on. It simply doesn't make sense! We miss what is going on when you cut away for 2-3 minutes at the high altitude shots. Also, we don't need to see Crew watching the Monitors, or sleeping. STAY ON THE RACE! That's what EVERYONE watching wants to see.
I drive an Miata MX5, the engineering concepts for it where conceived and tested on the Le Mans race tracks of Europe. It comes with paddle shifters. I hate those bumps in Sunset Bend. Sebring ought to invest a few thousand dollars to hire a concrete leveling company to come in and fix them. They were bad when I first drove Sebring in 1994. They were still bad when I last drove it in 2011. They still look bad in 2020. Enough is enough. Fix them.
Sunset Bend without the bumps would be mediocre. The fact you have to fight the car regardless of levels of downforce is what makes it a really challenging corner.
@@StevePhoenix I never had to fight the car to maintain control in Sunset. I was just bracing myself for the impact of the bumps, then cussing them after they hit. For me, it detracted from the fun of running the track. There would still be plenty of other bumps at Sebring to maintain its "character".
They have a slogan, "Respect The Bumps", for a reason. Fantastic historical track and the drivers will tell you it is tough, but you don't ever hear them calling for resurfacing.
Yes bring back oil slicks in the turns, nails on the straights, and last but not least replace the walls with alligator filled moats. We need that sense of danger again. 🤔🤷♀️😂

Sad to see the factory Porsche team leave IMSA :( Thanks for the memories! Hope to see them back, hopefully in DPi/LMdH :D
Youll be excited to know they definitely have a lmdh!!

yum.....😋 IMSA action💪
Not sure about the penalty on the 10 but the 31 did the same thing before the start/finish line. Why were they not give the same penalty?
Start at 5:20
So sad how small GTLM has become.
Yeah Saleen to Dodge to Ford and now Porsche all of them. Gone
@@diethersantos6404 i am afraid in 2022 NO MORE GTLM IN IMSA.
Pretty sure there’s gonna be a Ferrari 488 and that the weather tech team got a Porsche 911 that are both gonna run in GTLM
