When i first started Band in school i was only 7 and Mr. Turk caught me on my tip toes looking through the window of the door , He asked me to come in then He said "If you could play any Instrument which one would You choose?" I pointed at the Saxophone , i was really shy , He said "that's what i play " he pulled out his Selmer Tenor Sax and said if You can make a good sound come out of this i'll talk to the Principal and ask if you can join us . Had to stand on a chair and let it hang down to play it but once He showed me where to place my fingers left top right bottom i began to play it , He was a good Man my parents couldn't afford a Sax so He gave me His. Within a week i was playing Wendy and Raindrops keep falling on my head by ear by week 2 i was first chair . Music is such a beautiful Gift God gave us , i've learned not to take it for granted and give God the Credit ! This Song brought back so many memories . You have been an inspiration and a blessing to me already. Thank You so very much for being YOU. Peace Love and Joy be multiplied to You...
When I was 10 years old (1967) I saw Wes Montgomery play this on the old Hollywood Palace variety show. You have mastered his technique and I'm sure Wes is smiling in heaven right now.
Excellent performance, Dominyka! I don't know if you choose the tunes you perform, or if your teacher does. But whoever it is, they have truly magnificent taste in music! In addition to being very well-played, all of your videos feature some of the very best modern jazz tunes. Thank you for all you give us, and please show us more! 👏🎸🎶
This young lady is stunning and has definatelly all the chops. I have been playing for years and I am amazed at her prowess and impecable timing. Awsume. More please.
I’ve seen dozens of people play this, and fairly well, but this is the first time I’ve seen someone play it accurately. Just, wow….FANTASTIC job! World class
Again Another Wonderful Young Instrument Emulating from an Amazing Beautiful Woman! BRAVO 👏! A new follower from the High Desert 🏜️ of Southern California.🇺🇸🙏🏾☮️❤️🤙🏾👍🏾👊🏾😎
Yes so right , somewhere in the Cosmos Wed is smiling upon you !! Great job . Always loved Wes' version of Wendy & love your version too !! Please keep going , it's so clear you really have a love for Jazz Guitar . 🎉🎸 🎉
I love to see and hear a “George Benson” guitar playing Wes Montgomery! very good, with consistency and passion you will get to let yourself go more when you play and that will be a magical moment, when the guitar will become a part of you 😍💙
On Facebook I just saw you what beautiful playing love your finger dexterity As a guitar never could put in the commitment it takes to be a guitar player Your awesome 👏🏿 keep going Hope you in the NY area one day 👏🏿🎸🎸
@Dominyka, I enjoyed that very much. Windy was one of the first song I learned on the guitar in 6th grade music class (a much simplified version of what you played). Thank you for the memories.
The tone was so perfect that I was starting to wonder, then towards the end, she hit a chord that I didn’t remember being in Wes’ version. She’s great. And I regret ever selling my GB10.
I had a GB 10 in my hands in Edmonton Canada at a music shop 42 years ago. I haven't seen one since! I have had a lot of nice guitars but I still NEED one of them!!!
Dominyka, you're a cool jazz cat. It gladdens me to see a young girl appreciate Wes Montgomery. I'm diggin' the wallpaper too! Nice sounding Ibanez...thank you for posting this video.
You have a mobile left wrist - chord melody well supported by technique. Your hands are so delicate, beautiful fingertips. Best wishes young lady, keep pushing your repertoire. You make my heart sing.
Ummm, yeah, very possibly. Like Duane Allman and Derek Trucks. But I have that Wes album and she played that song most excellently. Probably just a lot of practice!

I think it’s beautiful that this young person has latched on to the great Wes Montgomery
I certainly agree with that, fantastic playing and sound
I’m from Wes’s hometown of Indianapolis they should fly her in for a festival celebrating his music
@@scharlesworth93 I’m in nap town as well. We need to get her here for sure
talented , a joy to hear and watch , totally focused and nailing it . I admire her for not 'working ' her natural beauty as many do . Professional .
@@duelenigma7732 because she actually has talent.
I've put this at the top of my main driving playlist so I start every drive with it!
