I'm Nigerian born and primarily American raised and everytime I hear of the West intervening in African affairs, it bothers me. Western countries don't have the best record to stand on. You don't want Africans to immigrate into Western countries, but then don't want them to live in their own countries the way the want to by the laws they choose. America wanted them to not pass this law and push for gay rights. That same official said when other countries come and talk to them it's about military, strengthening the economy and border protection.
