      Yeah I was glad to hear the assurance seems to be clear to them. The once and for all message to me can't have a secondary sacrifice and offering for this later Day of Atonement. That would mean God needs to return the accepted sacrifice to do it all over again. I did freestyle the discussion because I had that one question but I am open to a fuller discussion where I'm prepared. The issue at hand is that God has to follow the calendar of feasts for them. I get it but I don't agree. The God of order should have sentenced us to death, just as the law on its own does. But grace and mercy through His Spirit doth abound.

For you to claim Acts 15 somehow implies a continuation of kosher is simply absurd eisegesis reading your desired meaning into the text rather than deriving it through proper hermeneutics. Well, the Bible does not quite agree with that. Psalm 111 : 7,8,10 the commandments God wrote down with His own hands are for ever. Yes there was. In the Old Testament 4 different sets of laws.
      A) moral laws ( Ten Commandments)
      B) civil laws how to deal with rebellion
      C) ceremonial laws
      D) health laws ( to keep them free from sickness as they cross the desert. (And sanitation)

      @fournierro1 those categories, although helpful, are not biblically defined. They are defined implicitly with the exception of the moral law. Advent Defense : You would note that blood was placed both on the veil and the horns of the altar of incense, accumulating all year (359 days). On the 360 th day, the day of Atonement , the high priest stop at the altar of incense walking in touching the horns , figuratively picking up those sins for the whole year , and than going into the Most Holy Place and presenting them to God . On His way out of the Sanctuary , the high priest stops at the altar of incense again, picking up those sins that had accumulated while he was inside the Most Holy Place. This covers those who came late on the day of atonement / 1844- YOU and ME. The service is complete when all sins are confessed over the head of the scapegoat, and it is led into the wilderness by a strong man/ Christ.

    In the conversation with Sean, the point of the feasts being in order was a good point. I really wished you guys sat on that point more the whole time because every time you brought up other themes he would filp to I see it this other way. So I would say for next time that you should stick to just that point. Bringing up facts like the day of Pentecost which was fulfilled in order. Asking for scripture to demonstrate how the order is no longer being applied. Just sit on that point and if they can't answer then agree to part ways as Cotto said at one point in the video. In that way they will leave knowing that they couldn't answer that question and maybe rethink. Cause if you notice that's where he was quiet the most in terms of the order point. I thought that the point was lost on questions like his intercession and what he's doing as high priest. You guys should have just stayed on the issue of time, because God is a God of order from creation in seven days and everything on timing in prophecy etc etc etc....

    Peace,
    This channel is really good, and greatly needed, because there are people saying some weird things about the 7th Day Adventist Church. It’s good to see what we really teach defended. Keep up the awesome work.❤
    With that being said, I do disagree in regards to the feast days of GOD. I believe the annual Holy Convocations of GOD should still be observed. That they weren’t done away with or abolished at the death of Jesus.
    I believe Holy Convocations aren’t ceremonial. There were ceremonies done on these set days of GOD (just like the 7th day Sabbath), but the actual days set aside by GOD is not ceremonial.
    Coming to this conclusion was done by SDA reasoning points, Jesus, the apostles, the early Christian gentiles (after 70AD) custom was to observed the annual Holy days of GOD. It’ll be observed in the future with the Feast of Tabernacles (Zech.14)
    I’ve studied the points you guys brought up , one of them was, the 10 Commandments were inside the Ark, and the commandments to observe the annual Holy days of GOD were on the side of the Ark.
    For me, many laws written in the book by Moses are moral laws, and not ceremonial. The health laws for example. I think we should be careful of not throwing the baby (moral laws) out with the bath water (ceremonial laws).
    Holy Convocations are moral.. again the proof that they were still being observed by the apostles and the early Christian church shows that.
    Blessings! ❤

That was clearly seen in the daily burnt offerings, PLUS EVERY SIN OFFERING OFFERED BYTHE PEOPLE. The prayer of faith transferred the sins from the sinner to the Lamb. The lamb died , bearing our sins , which are now transferred to the sanctuary, awaiting us on the Day of ATONEMENT. The cleansing of the sanctuary is Jesus forgiving the sins of all Believers. The final phase is Jesus walking out of the sanctuary both to Bless His people and to bind up Satan as the Scapegoat.

    Anytime that commandments contained in ordinances is discussed, it should also be explained in terms of the gospel first highlighted in Gen 3:15. The feasts and ordinances (law of Moses) was put in place because of sin (from the fall of our first parents and forward) noting that it (ordinances) were temporary until their fulfillment in the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ - at which time the 'ordinances were no longer necessary since Christ fullfilled all of the shadows of the ordinances. The ordinances simply foretold what Jesus would do - die for us in our place, be ressurected, and ascend to His Father in heaven. It should always be explained in the context of the gospel - the everlasting gospel.

    Regarding being grafted into Israel and therefore Gentiles should keep the Sabbath, circumcision, and the law; let’s see what the apostles said concerning this..
    ”forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:“
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭15‬:‭24‬ ‭
    The apostles did not teach the observance of the law, this was considered “troubling” the Gentiles with a yoke that even their fathers could not bare..

    *However, the English word •"scapegoat", which is only short for •"escape goat", [1828 American Dictionary]* does illustrate the understanding that this goat is *NOT a sacrifice. Response to the question concerning the sabbath and Israel..
    Let’s not forget that the Sabbath was a covenant sign between Israel and God..
    Let’s read :
    Exodus 31:13-17 (NIV): "Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy.'"
    Ezekiel 20:12 (NIV): "Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the Lord made them holy."
    Like circumcision, the Sabbath was a specific sign that identified Israel as the people of God.. That is why they still keep it today..
    Lastly, Exodus 16 states when the sabbath was made for man (Israel)
    ”See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. So the people rested on the seventh day.“

      Who are the Israel of God?
      There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
      And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
      {Galatians 3:28-29}
      For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
      But he is a Jew, *which is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart in the spirit* and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
      {Romans 2:28-29}
      Wherefore remember, that ye being IN TIME PAST Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
      That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the COMMONWEALTH of ISRAEL, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
      BUT now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh *by the blood of Christ*
      For he is our peace, who hath made both [Jew and Gentile] one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
      Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments [not the ten commandments] contained in ordinances; for to make in himself *of twain* ONE NEW MAN, so making peace;
      And that he might reconcile BOTH unto God in ONE BODY by the cross, *having slain the enmity thereby*
      And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
      For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
      Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but *fellowcitizens* with the saints, and of the household of God;
      [The commnwealth of Israel ... Jeshurun]
      {Ephesians 2:11-19}
      Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
      But *in every nation* he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
      {Acts 10:34-35}
      Again...
      But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
      For there is no respect of persons with God.
      {Romans 2:10-11}
      Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For *they are not all Israel* which are of Israel:
      *Neither because they are the seed of Abraham* are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
      That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but *the children of the promise* are counted for the seed.
      {Romans 9:6-8}
      Now we, [Galatians] brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
      But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
      {Galatians 4:28-29}
      For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
      And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and
      upon *the Israel of God*
      {Galatians 6:15-16}
      And they [the Jew] also, *if they abide not still in unbelief* shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in *again*
      {Romans 11:23}
      For ye are all the children of God *by faith in Christ Jesus*
      For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
      {Galatians 3:26-27}

      I just want to make sure I was clear. Jesus' sacrifice and offering at the cross plus he "is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." He was sitting down from ascension and is as the bible says "waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet." The Holy Spirit is working now. Christ is sitting letting His work at the cross perpetually intercede as the Holy Spirit he sends sanctifies us.
      John 15:26 KJV
      But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.

      I think we also have to reconcile all scripture though. Why would the bible speak only of Jesus bearing the sins of the world? If there is a scripture with Satan bearing the sin that would be a strong point. We also have another way to look at why Satan is bound. Remember the Sacpegoat is free to roam the wilderness not bound:
      Mark 3:24-27
      24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. 27 BUT NO ONE CAN ENTER A STRONG MAN'S HOUSE AND PLUNDER HIS GOODS, UNLESS HE FIRST BINDS THE STRONG MAN. THEN INDEED HE MAY PLUNDER HIS HOUSE.
      Rev 20:2-3
      2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and BOUND him for a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, SO THAT HE MIGHT NOT DECEIVE THE NATIONS ANY LONGER, until the thousand years were ended.
      There is a thick parallel there. I'm just telling you what I see when we look at all scripture. But I can understand your stance.

    Notice Sabbath days, with an “S“
    These days had only one thing to do with the Seventh-Day sabbath. And it was to keep a holy day during the feast as they would keep the Seventh-Day sabbath.
    Notice in the feast of unleavened bread that the first and last day of the seven day feast was to be kept holy. These would be known as sabbath days. Not to be confused with the Seventh-Day sabbath. They were nailed to the cross however; the sabbath of the Lord, the Seventh-Day, will never be nailed to the cross. Not one jot or title will pass from it.
    The Feast of Unleavened Bread, also known as Chag HaMatztot, is a seven-day holiday that begins on the fifteenth day of the first month following Passover. The first and last days of the holiday are holy observances, and people remove leaven from their homes and diets for the entire week.

    One must admit that John 19:28,30 *SAYS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT AN ATONEMENT BEING FINISHED AT THE CROSS;* - *it simply says that Jesus cried,* - *“It is finished,”* - *Christ sacrificial atonement was certainly finished BUT His ministry as our high priest was yet to come.*
    “But this man [Jesus], *after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever,* sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected* for ever them that are sanctified.”* Heb. 10:12-14. cf. Ps 110:1,4; Mat. 22:44; Lk 20:43; Acts 7:49; 1 Cor 15:25-28. [Heb 5:6-10; Heb. 7:28; 2:16-18; Heb 9:8,15 the humanity of Christ is the foundation for His Priesthood].
    *The above text [Heb. **10:12**-14] says* - *that Christ is at “the right hand of God”.*
    *What is Christ doing at the right hand of God for the last 2000 years...?*
    *“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even *at the right hand of God, who also •MAKETH INTERCESSION [G1793] FOR US.”* Rom. 8:34
    *Why would Christ be making intercessions anymore if the entire ATONEMENT PROCESS was FINISHED at the cross?* Isn’t the work of intercession not part of Christ’s work to save us?
    *The KJV translates described atonement in the following manner:* atonement (71x), purge (7x), reconciliation (4x), reconcile (3x), forgive (3x), purge away (2x), pacify (2x), atonement...made (2x), merciful (2x), cleansed (1x), disannulled (1x), appease (1x), put off (1x), pardon (1x), pitch (1x). Peruse Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, Hebrew Dictionary number H3722 kâphar and 3725. Additionally, numbers 2434, and 2643 in the Greek Dictionary.
    *This word is often used in the Old Testament. The only place you’ll find the word “atonement,” in the King James Version, is in Romans 5:10. But, in Greek, it is the very common word ‘katallassō’ [G2644].* - *In this word, there’s no hint of making amends.* It means ‘reconciliation’. *Holman’s Bible dictionary defines this word as follows:* -- *Reconciliation* … specifically the reconciliation between God and humanity affected by the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. … The basic Greek word is usually translated as “to reconcile”. The basic meaning is to establish a friendship.
    *Therefore Romans 5:10, in the NASB, reads:* “For if while we were enemies we were *reconciled [Greek katallassō G2644]* to God through the death of His Son.”
    *This eschatology is one of the most misunderstood Biblical teachings* and has been the subject of scrutiny and criticism. While critics may pride themselves in their list of *seemingly* conclusive arguments, *the truth is they have no argument.* - If there is no atonement after Calvary,* - *then there is no need for a Sanctuary ministry by Christ in heaven. And there is no need for an investigative [pre-advent] judgment to conclude that atoning work.*
    *We can CLEARLY see that the mediation of the Lord Jesus Christ is an atonement,* - *which means that He mediates for the forgiveness of our sins, being the Atoner who paid our debts on our behalf.* - *His mediation means that He says to the Father:* - *"Do not count their transgressions because I have carried their iniquity"* [Is.53:6]. *Thus, He stands as a Mediator between God and men; or rather, He is the only Mediator between God and men* [1 Tim 2:5]; *He fulfilled God’s Divine Justice and granted people the forgiveness of sins, by dying for them.*

      @@JamieElison: The Bible teaches that our sins are blotted out when we repent: *’I HAVE BLOTTED OUT,* as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: RETURN UNTO ME; FOR I HAVE REDEEMED THEE.’ [Isaiah 44:22].
      IF you do not confess and return how do you expect your sins to be blotted out?
      *The Bible teaches that our sins are blotted out when we repent:* ‘Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, *when the times of refreshing shall come* from the presence of the Lord.’ [Acts 3:19].
      *‘…and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.’* 1 John 1:7.
      On the other hand, Catholic's beliefs are contrary to the scriptures - they believe in purgatory - your sins just never gets blotted out. The Catholic Church makes most of its money through the doctrine of Purgatory. Many wealthy people over the centuries have bequeathed their estates to the Pope in order to be released from Purgatory sooner, and many over the centuries have made large contributions to release their loved ones from Purgatory.
      This wealth is reflected in the magnificent churches, golden altars, jeweled shrines, choice paintings, and exquisite sculptures that appeal to the love of beauty. The ear also is captivated. The music is unsurpassed. The rich notes of the deep-toned organ, blending with the melody of many voices as it swells through the lofty domes and pillared aisles of her grand cathedrals, cannot fail to impress the mind with awe and reverence.
      This outward splendor and ceremony mock the longings of the sin-sick soul and are evidence of inward corruption.
      Not only is the grace of God a FREE GIFT [Eph. 2:8] to anyone, but Christ Jesus PAID the full price for our sins. What did your Simon Magnus, the pagan sorcerer try do? He tried to BUY the gift of God WITH MONEY, and the apostle Peter sharply rebuked him.
      There is not the slightest hint in the Bible that says we need another mediator other than Jesus Christ [1 Tim. 2:5]. AND it is very clear from God’s word that we have DIRECT access to God THROUGH Jesus Christ and the only one other that God who can forgive sins is Jesus Himself [Matt. 9:6].
      According to Catholic dogma, Purgatory is a fiery furnace in the bowels of the earth . . . but their "good news" is that some souls can be released early by the suffrages of the "Church Militant."
      *Purgatory is also found in the Latin Vulgate Version where the Greek word METANOEO (REPENT) is translated as PENANCE:*
      But he (rich man) said: No, father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they will do penance (Saint Luke 16:3O, Douay-Rheims Version).
      *"If we must choose between the Holy Scriptures of God, and the old errors of the church, we should reject the former."* Johnan Faber (a defender of the Papacy) cited in History of The Reformation, by Merle d'Aubinge, book 11, Chapter 5, Paragraph 9.
      It was the selling of indulgences to free the souls in "Purgatory" that led Martin Luther to confront and expose Friar John Tetzel and his pick-pocket Purgatory. Orthodox Christians have never believed in the mythical Purgatory.
      No wonder the Catholic Church is one of the richest, if not the richest institution in the world. The Vatican’s foundations were built on indulgences. *IF PURGATORY EXISTS, THEN JESUS’ SACRIFICE WAS ALL IN VAIN. PURGATORY IS A PAGAN INVENTION AND IS UNBIBLICAL.*
      *Here is a quote from Canon XXX of the Council of Trent:*
      ‘If anyone says that after the reception of the grace of justification the guilt is so remitted and the debt of eternal punishment so blotted out to every repentant sinner, that no debt of temporal punishment remains to be discharged either in this world or in purgatory before the gates of heaven can be opened, let him be anathema (accursed).’ - Canon and Decrees of the Council of Trent, Canon (30) XXX.
      Catholics who believe a purifying fire will purge away their sins are deluded victims of a fatal fabrication. The invention of a place for purification of sins called Purgatory is one of the most seductive attractions of the Roman Catholic religion.
      Over the centuries billions of dollars have been paid to Roman Catholic priests to obtain relief from imaginary sufferings in Purgatory's fire. The Catholic clergy has always taught that the period of suffering in Purgatory can be shortened by purchasing indulgences and novenas, buying Mass cards and providing gifts of money. When a Catholic dies, money is extracted from mourning loved ones to shorten the deceased's punishment in Purgatory.
      *The Council of Trent, by its Creed of Pius IV, makes it impossible for the Roman Catholic Church to change.* - *It added….twelve new articles to the Nicene Creed…..This Creed of Pius IV is a millstone around Rome’s neck. It binds the Roman Catholic Church forever to all its pagan errors.* - *It is its answer and challenge to the Reformation.*

      @@JamieElison: James, you keep repeating yourself. It appears that you are reading without understanding. Now you mention Ellen White. Many have misquoted her by focusing on extracts only of her statements. Same with the Bible - one has to compare scripture with scripture or else you do violence to the writings. As you have noticed I quote only from the Bible, and I am not to discredit Ellen White for one moment. You need to consult with those who thoroughly study her writings.
      *Many professed Christians focus on justification only* [professed faith in Jesus Christ], *and miss the important process of sanctification.* - *They profess to be justified and saved just because they 'believe' in Jesus, and yet continue to live sinful lives.*
      *We are sanctified through the truth - the truth of God's Word in our lives, and those who are sanctified through the truth are living recommendations of its power, and representatives of their risen Lord, Jesus Christ.* - *The religion of Christ will refine the taste, sanctify the judgment, elevate, purify, and ennoble the soul, making the Christian more and more fit for the society.*
      *'Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.'* John 17:17.
      *'And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.'* John 17:19.
      *'Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.'* 1 Peter 1:22.
      *'Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.'* 2 Corinthians 7:1.
      In the above scriptures, we read about Bible sanctification. It is not merely a profession of faith, or external work. It is sanctification received through the channel of truth. *It is truth received in the heart, and practically carried out in our daily life, by obeying God, and not sinning wilfully.*
      *There is no Bible sanctification for those who cast truth aside.* We must embrace *ALL* Bible truth. *There is enough light given in the word of God, so that none need err. Jesus, considered as a man, was perfect, yet He grew in grace.*
      *‘And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.’* Luke 2:52.
      *Even the most perfect Christian may increase continually in the knowledge and love of God.*
      *Sanctification is not the work of a moment, an hour, or a day. It is a continual growth in grace, and a work that will continue our whole lives.* - *Not unless you believe in the unbiblical teaching of one saved always saved.*
      Cheers James

    BROTHERS: You don't seem to know that the High priest went into the Most Holy Place THREE TIMES on the day of Atonement : 1) for himself and family, 2) the daily burnt offering and 3) offering of the blood of the Lord's Goat. Follow the process. The scapegoat is the one upon whom the sins that have been confessed and forgiven are placed upon , representing Satan in the End .

    • @PrairieChristianOutreach
      @PrairieChristianOutreach 6 месяцев назад +2

      The Day of Atonement is indeed a unique process for the Hebrew cultic system. It is clear that the unique practices on the Day of Atonement are not for forgiveness of sin. In many ways this ceremony is in line with the ancient Hebraic understanding of mercy and justice. (Ps. 85:10, Deut. 32:4, Hos. 12:6) Those two must always balance. See the story of 2 Sam 14 for this to play out in court. The ruler is in some ways culpable for his mercy. This is also the story of Lev. 16. Forgiveness is in the blood and the goat for the Lord. (Heb. 9:22) However, the goat for Azazel is in contrast to the Lord and is viewed as the Lord's enemy in this regard. Hence the placement in the wilderness. (Lev. 17:7, Is. 34:13-14, Luke 11:24).
      So, what is going on here? It appears that God is balancing the mercy and justice of His government. He is clearing everything contrary to His purpose out of His presents, i.e. the camp of Israel. One must understand that Christ is not the only bearer of sin. Unrepentant sinners bear sin. (Lev. 10:17, 20:20) Also, a false accuser will bear the sin of the accusation. (Deut. 19:15-21) Also, atonement can involve the justice carried out on a sinner. (Num. 25:13). So, either you let Christ take care of your sin or you bear the responsibility. Also, you bear responsibility if you bring sin into a community. Does this sound familiar? (Gen. 3)
      It is clear that the references to Christ's atonement and forgiveness involves His sacrifice. He pleads His sacrifice and therefore can provide us His life. (Zech. 3, Heb. 9:26) This is beautiful truth and the reality of our assurance of Salvation.

      Jesus bore our sins according to the Bible. Nowhere in the bible does it say Satan bore our sins. But I believe the thing that we have hung our hat on is this imagery in Revelation 20:1-3. Notice Satan is bound yet the Scapegoat is not. I see a stronger parallel here in Mark 3:23-27
      23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. 27 BUT NO ONE CAN ENTER A STRONG MAN'S HOUSE AND PLUNDER HIS GOODS, UNLESS HE FIRST BINDS THE STRONG MAN. THEN INDEED HE MAY PLUNDER HIS HOUSE.
      Also if you read the details the Atonement isn't done for the people and priest until Lev 16:24 KJV when the burnt offering occurs.
      Tell me your thoughts.

All versions are good because they come from the Greek, Hebrew and little Aramaic manuscripts we have. The King James version Greek manuscripts are generally considered to be older manuscripts than the NASB manuscripts for example, but the word of God is found in either. Even the KJV translators believed that you can get the word of God from any translation.

      Where there is no sin, grace is not imputed.

      Evidence for this appears to be the ancient Roman historian Suetonius. To quote wikipedia's article on Tiberius:
      However, according to Suetonius, after a two-year stint in Germania, which lasted from 10−12 AD, "Tiberius' returned and celebrated the triumph which he had postponed, accompanied also by his generals, for whom he had obtained the triumphal regalia. And before turning to enter the Capitol, he dismounted from his chariot and fell at the knees of his father, who was presiding over the ceremonies.” "Since the consuls caused a law to be passed soon after this that he should govern the provinces jointly with Augustus and hold the census with him, he set out for Illyricum on the conclusion of the lustral ceremonies."

    When Jesus died on the cross, He saved us from the penalty of sin. This is justification; this is our imputed righteousness. ‭Leviticus 17:11 ESV‬

      [11] For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to DEFILE it yet it still somehow makes atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement and defilement by the life.
      The problem with the logic is the animal is killed at the door sin-filled blood goes into the basin after the sin transfer to its head, right? At that point you believe your atonement happened. What you believe is that the blood now given for you and placed on the altar defiles but for some reason in your very own proof text God shows you that it atones which reestablishes your connection to God.
      Atonement (dictionary definition)
      1. Amends or reparation made for an injury or wrong; expiation.
      2. An individual's reconciliation with God by means of repentance and confession of one's transgressions.
      3. The reconciliation of God and humans brought about by the redemptive life and death of Jesus.
      Reconciliation happens at the altar when blood is placed not sin transfer. Atonement can't mean sin still exists in one service but doesn't in another. The word should have consistency. Look throughout Leviticus.The blood is never doing what you say. It is always holy, cleansing and purifying even after a transfer of sin to the head of the animal. Also God did not leave a mystery as to what defiles the sanctuary as the Bible has made it plain. No where does it say the confessed sins defile the sanctuary. I can give you this based on what is in scripture: My sin is defiling the sanctuary up until I confess my sin. Remember the blood on the altar according to the Bible atones and reestablishes my connection with God. Now what defiles the sanctuary which is also the same as what profanes Gods name?
      Numbers 19:20 NLT “But those who become defiled and do not purify themselves will be cut off from the community, for they have defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. Since the water of purification has not been sprinkled on them, they remain defiled.
      Ezekiel 44:7 NLT You have brought uncircumcised foreigners into my sanctuary-people who have no heart for God. In this way, you defiled my Temple even as you offered me my food, the fat and blood of sacrifices. In addition to all your other detestable sins, you have broken my covenant.
      Ezekiel 23:38 ESV For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. With their idols they have committed adultery, and they have even offered up[e] to them for food the children whom they had borne to me. 38 Moreover, this they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary on the same day and profaned my Sabbaths.

    You all seems to love human reasoning... so look at this..."The sabbath was made for man" You guys only quote half the verse to show your point, but if you quote the whole verse which includes... "not man for the sabbath"
    So in essent, Jesus is saying that man was not made for the sabbath. He was responding to the Jews accusing him of breaking the sabbath. Question to you is, if a toy car was made for me was I made for the toy car? Of cause not. If a real car comes along do I stick with the toy car? Of cause not. I go for what is better. The church has a better covenabmnt.

    You're not admitting that the Devil comes back at the end of the thousand Years! carrying your sins .he's going to dump them right into your lap! when you're at the great white throne judgement. If you're going to make the devil be the sin bearer ..(who is Jesus Christ on cross.)! He doesn't go away.. he comes back to you. Not one verse you're saying that represents this,, is in the scripture.. you're inventing it! You can't find one scripture or the verse in the Bible ,,that says the devil is the second Goat of Leviticus 16:10! It's not there..(. it got created by your false prophet ).and she said that's Jesus Christ. Manuscript 112. Page 18 the first paragraph 1897. But would never admit it to anybody... but it's written down ..so what are you going to do about that? because when that happens... your investigative judgment goes out the door.. because Isaiah 43:25 would have happened... and there is no functioning heavenly sanctuary it would not be necessary.. as Hebrews 7:13 says. that's why you're not Christian! No Christian in the world has that theology that's blaspheming the holy Spirit!

      It was sad and pathetic. Adventists sell an extremely simple message. If you want to be right with God you keep his commandments. If you say you love God you must keep his commandments. It’s a simple message for simple minded people.

    Yeah but telling the truth to an SDA person is disrespectful.. coming from an SDA person!!. So if you're teaching a lie and someone is telling you the truth ..you consider it disrespectful! The second Goat of Leviticus 16:10.. if he's the devil.. as you say. ( your blaspheming the holy Spirit!)... Matthew 12:31 and 32 you're attributing to the holy Spirit what (Jesus Christ himself) does on the cross! 1 Peter 2:24 the sins are( in )Jesus Christ 1st Peter 2:24 they cannot be there ,if He's not both Goats!. The second Goat is there at the same time ( when the sins are removed).. it's the second (Goat that removes the sins)! the sins cannot be( in )Jesus Christ. Based upon your teaching... you have destroyed Jesus in his entirety ..and that's what creates your investigative judgment.. because Isaiah 43:25, cannot possibly happen.! no Christian in the world has that! They will not blaspheme the holy Spirit like that!!!!!. SDA does it with no conscience at all!

      The idea that the Scapegoat is for Azazel, a demonic spirit, is the majority view among scholars today.
      Notes from the NET Bible. From the Dallas Theological Seminary.
      Azazel the Scapegoat.
      Leviticus 16:8 tn Heb “and Aaron shall give lots on the two he-goats.” See the note on Lev 8:8 for the priestly casting of lots in Israel and the explanation in B. A. Levine, Leviticus (JPSTC), 102, on Lev 16:8-9. J. Milgrom, Leviticus (AB), 1:1019-20, suggests, however, that the expression here signifies that, the lots having been cast, the priest was to literally “place” (Heb “give”) the one marked “for the Lord” on the head of the goat to be sacrificed and the one marked “for Azazel” on the head of the one to be released in the wilderness in order to avoid confusing them later in the ritual sequence.
      THE MOST COMMON VIEW AMONG SCHOLARS TODAY is that it is the proper name of a particular demon (perhaps even the Devil himself) associated with the wilderness desert regions. Levine has proposed that it may perhaps derive from a reduplication of the ז (zayin) in עֵז combined with אֵל (ʾel, “mighty”), meaning “mighty goat.” The final consonantal form of עֲזָאזֵל would have resulted from the inversion of the א (ʾalef) with the second ז. He makes the point that the close association between עֵז and שְׂעִירִים (sheʿirim), which seems to refer to “goat-demons” of the desert in Lev 17:7 (cf. Isa 13:21, etc.), should not be ignored in the derivation of Azazel, although the term ultimately became the name of “the demonic ruler of the wilderness.”

    I worked 13 hours on Saturday, April 20, 2024. At no time did the Holy Spirit convict me that I was sinning. The Holy Spirit convicts me often in regard to not loving perfectly as Jesus loves. I allow no Adventist pompous Pharisee to judge me in regard to food or drink or a festival or a new moon or Sabbath or what day I labor. Millions of Adventists have already joined James and Ellen in eternal hell. These blasphemous heretics are on their way to join the little flock in eternal regret.
