This is exactly the video I am looking for! Every other tutorial I've watched that says "Digital Painting in Photoshop for Beginners" literally immediately proceeds to painting some very complicated stuff and then just don't bother explaining how to get there lol
I will be coming back to your tutorial again and again. I agree it's explained well and not too fast! I've tried following quite a few others and I can't follow as I took Photoshop many years ago and there's bit learning curve for me. Thank you for not talking too fast and for explaining the steps well for newbies like me.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I've been having trouble understanding digital painting, and was always so confused by how poeple would seem to color without going outside the outline of the drawing and you finally answered my questions! I will be watching this again next time I need to paint digitally to get the process right. Thank you again! Your voice is really soothing btw 😄
finally tutorial vid that can help me since im beginner .... i was watching others tutorial but i still dont understand then i found your vid and im grateful coz finally i understand... the way you explain it are so eazy for me to understand, so i wanna say THANK YOU so much for making this video!!!!!
I really like this video! For those of us who would like to start dabbling in digital artwork but have no idea how the heck Photoshop even works, this is a great tool. Thanks for the time and effort you put into this! 😊🥰
Thanks so much for this! So many videos offering tutorials for this are sometimes confusing or they go way too fast and use super complex illustrations, so it gets confusing watching what they're doing. As a beginner, your video was so easy to digest and wasn't overloaded with too many distracting side comments. This was clear and to the point. Thank you for this!
Nearly 3 and a half years after you posted it, I stumbled upon your RUclips account. Thanks to you, I finally understand how layers work, which had always been my biggest fear. Also, thanks to you, I dusted off my Wacom tablet and put it to use. Please make more tutorial videos - you're fantastic at it :)
I AM superexcited to make digital art now! I just set up my new desk with a wacom intuous and realized I'm a photo editor in phtshp and not a illustrator lol, so I don't really know what I'm doing. Now I feel more confident! Thanks!
Awesome video!! I just have trouble understanding how the magic selection tool inherits the lines as area? maybe my photoshop version... BUT GREAT TUTORIAL THOUGH
Thank you sooo muuch for this video! I've just recently slowly started with digital and this definitely would help C: Also I kinda remember watching you some time before and I liked your drawings and now I am subscribing! :D ♥
Hello ! I Great video ! I have a question please. When i select outside the form as you do, it does not select the form even if it is well close but the line itself so i can only color the line 🤔 and i don't understand why ! Can you help me please ?
Hey Sofie thanks for this! There was a moment when you created more layers that you didn't explain why.. I am still not able to color my sketch correctly.. maybe you can help me to understand why? Thanks again !
Great video, I made a blog post for my advanced topics course at college to help learn photoshop more and this helped so much. I really enjoy the style and hope to expand on it when I get the courage to do my own work.
I don't really have a graphic tablet to draw on it.....but! This was really helpful! (When I finally introduce myself to digital art I'm going to rewatch it!) thank u for the tips xd 💛
How do you save your drawings? i was told to switch the mode from RGB to CMYK and save as to jpeg (if i want to print it) because printers can not read RGB colors.
Also, since im basicly new to this.. What kind of brush tool do artists usually use, when you make your sketch? I'm practicing with basic shape like circle or square using your tutorial hahaha.. it is still so difficult for me using cliping mask but gonna practice more and moreee.. Thxxx
You mentioned, that you sometimes use multiple layers for lineart. Can you give some examples in which cases and why would you use multiple layers for lineart? :)
when i try to click on the outside of the character on layer 4, the magic wand selects the entire canvas. anyone has any idea why that is? What did I do wrong? I didn't miss a frame of this video.
I'm autistic and have a strong tendency towards echolalia as a stim (repetition of words or phrases) and I don't know if it's just the accent or what but the way this girl speaks is SO interesting, I can't stop repeating the things she says
The detail in this is just sooooooo oh amazing. Explained brilliantly even though I am a start out graphic design student, I will save this tutorial and go back many times to watch, great for learning small basic techniques ❤
First time viewer, your hair looks like the colour of an ice lolly (pop sickle to Americans I think) This isn’t a criticism or a judgement, it’s just a passing comment that occurred to me the second I saw you. I just remember having ice lollies that colour when I was a kid. Ok on to the video now, hope it helps me! Thanks :)
The fact that this is the best tutorial I've found and its from 3 years ago, shows how brilliant you are
