Is "Wokeness" Ruining Modern Entertainment?

Over the last few years, we've seen an increasing number of takes that "wokeness," "identity politics," "virtue signaling," "THE MESSAGE," and the like are to blame for the poor state of the current movie, TV, and gaming industry. In particular, there's a cohort of RUclips channels like The Critical Drinker, Nerdrotic, Geeks + Gamers, EndymionTV, RK Outpost, etc who'll often talk about how studios are putting political messaging ahead of telling a good story. I explain here why this idea is very silly and we should leave it behind.
