Memorize Piano Note Names Instantly

Using this story is one of my favourite methods for teaching beginners or any age. In just a few minutes, the fundamentals are addressed such as the topography of the piano and the relationship of the notes on the piano.
For really young ones, I'll split the story into two lessons (CDE for the first lesson and FGAB for the next lesson).
I always send the students home with the exercise of searching for the notes with their eyes closed. It really gets them know their piano, trust their fingers, and start to develop their inner visual map of their instrument. All subtle but important skills that build a strong foundation.
