- ptera benefits the most from the update. the new diet allows us to hunt pretty much anything. finally ptera is something I was hoping from start on. a threat to small creatures, like babus XD their organs give us the possibilitiy to get diet out of all of them. we'll still hunt just for food tho ;-)

I love that it's now way easier to hang onto trees with the ptera. Before it was hit or miss but now it works perfectly ^^

How do you hang?
@@magnarcreed3801 you have to hold airbreak and RMB while to fly to a tree or a wall. airbreak is normally Z, but, I don't know for sure. I did change it to one of my mouse buttons. just look in the settings what key it is in case you don't know it anyway :)

I agree! Ptera got a massive boost! I never reaaally liked to play that dino, but have been playing it for days now. Skimming and hanging on trees also works way better now!
yeah, I was bored with ptera recently. beside hypsi, which you often couldn't find on the map, there was nothing but AI. it's nice to fish and go for turtles on the beach, but just AI is boring soon. now we can hunt whenever we want. you always find a babu or other small enough prey to go for. I love it so much. I was that excited, I didn't even hang on a tree once. so, I have to try that the next time XD

Scavenging with Ptera is the most fun I've had with it since we first got Ptera, and then it was fishing for me. I still love fishing and feeding babies, but looking for bodies and scavenging organs feels like such a natural mechanic for Ptera. Also makes it so you don't have to go to coast for II or try to find one of the three total frogs on the map for S.
One thing I've noticed is that Carnos are WAY too quiet. A nearly 2 ton creature stomping toward you at over 55kmph should be a lot more audible from a distance than it is.
I agree, ptera is so much more fun. I love to find bodies to "loot". taking the risk of landing, being helpless for some seconds while you put the organs out. it's great :)
I love the new sounds in terms of being able to localize prey, but, the volume is too low in general. like you said, carno footsteps close by are pretty quiet and also the calls aren't loud enough to hear them on a good distance. I barely hear calls at the moment. the silence of the isle makes me sad right now :(
That dead Ptera, surrounded by dozens of tiny meat pieces, looked like some ritual sacrifice xD
Oh, and also, I don't know if you just forgot in the moment; But if a body is small enough fo your Dinosaur to carry around, like that Hypsi, you can also thrash it to get its organs. (Carry it, Hold LMB, swing camera left to right).
A very daring flight through the forest there, knowing me I'd have crashed into a tree at least four times :P

@@da.mombie you also can simply attack a corpse few times till some meat disappear to get the organs too instead of taking piece by piece from it

I agree, diets were a massive buff for ptera. Now, if only it was able to actively threaten juvies... then we have the demon bird >:) Goodvideo as always mombie, annoyed personally by all the carno megapacks everywhere
everybody tells me about carno megapacks, but I don't meet them. I played about 7 hours stego recently and met very few dinos in general. saw about 4-5 carnos? most of them solo. even with ptera I saw less carnos. well, many little carnos at the center, but, no big packs with adults. why are they hiding from me? I want to run into 10 carnos with my stego... muahaha
yeah, I love the new diet. ptera will be much more fun. babus, be aware, I will get one out of 20 of you XD

The babu hunts were so cool especially when you chased after the lil carnos in the trees, very nice fight :D

I don't even care if I get them, just 'cause the hunt is so fun. you can fly for a turtle anytime if you (me) don't catch them and then back to the hunt. I love it. I couldn't be more happy for ptera :)

I enjoy playing pteranodon in the new update!! I also enjoy deino, I was growing a deino, I got it to about 85% and of course, a cannibal deino killed me :| I didn’t really mind at that point, I’m used to it :))))) Congrats on 4,250k subs!! Your flying it!!❤️🥰
I always use 2 lipids and 1 carb for diets :) in my opinion it’s the best one :D

Yoooo what Pterrific Video that was x), I was playing Ptera today and tried nesting but both of us were killed by a baby carno lol 😂. I hope Ptera gets a health buff soon kinda needs it. Hexagon diet is good for Ptera cuz of Stam Regen!
thx mate ♥ yeah, ptera benefits in many ways from update 6. I guess, even more than carno. in general I like that we can boost our dinos with different nutrients. the diet is much better now imo :) babu carnos have (as all dinos) more weight/health from start on and need more hits. which I also like a lot. I'm fine with pteras health. I want to be a threat to babus, not an unstoppable killer machine XD

@@OrionShadowStar we will see, but, I really think pteras will attack our babus more frequently now. I love that they are a threat. but, if every second of my babus dies to a ptera, then it will become annoying.
from pteras view. personally I enjoy the hunt so much, that I don't care if only one out of 5? even 10? is successful. we can get our nutrients anytime as we have still so many AI on our diet. the hunt is more fun than to survive to me as a ptera.

yeah, I don't get those aggro herbs as well. I never was a fan of KOS. it takes the fun out of interactions. in any game. the isle has so much to offer, but, some people don't know what to do, other than kill everything they see. it's almost sad :/
TOTALLY AGREE 💯 you can't just play as it wild life ,and you just being an carnivore or herb, because how many damn times I have been killed as Utah by agro pachy, not done anything agreesive in it way.. so yeah,the bad side of evrima it's definitely those paranormal killers,who just kill because they can , not allowing others to play quietly and stay in the game..😩🙄😔

You're too careless as a ptera, the moment you touch the ground to eat, you need to check your surroundings at every second, carnos and utahs are way too fast and sneaky, if they're near you, the'll get to you in a few secs and you're gone, you need to spot them before they get close. Also keep your eyes on bushes when you're near them.
When you're a baby ptera, just hold "W" and hold "Space" for 1 sec, and then release "Space", it'll instantly take you off the ground. The more grown you are the longer you have to hold space to takeoff, I don't recommend using it after you're around 30% because it's broken, it'll either take 30% of your stamina or just 6%(standing takeoff takes 8%), just use it for emergencies, when someone is chasing you.
it's a ptera, they grow so fast. no need for me to be that careful XD
thx, but, I don't like the running start. I prefer the jump start. the stam difference isn't that big anway ;-)

The running start is better when you're a baby tho, it works the same way as the jump start, just hold and release.
@@SirKolass don't get me wrong, I do believe it's better. but, I don't like it much and it doesn't give me a huge advantage in my opinion. pteras have so much stam meanwhile anyway. when I played ptera first, you couldn't fly much with a babu. now babus feel like adult back then :)
@@da.mombie I find it good to escape from predators, the jump start takes like 3 seconds to get off the ground, if someone is running towards you they might bite you before you take off.
I honestly wish we could just open our wings and just glide off of high places, instead of having jump or run.

I don't really appreciate the reduced camera zoom on the ptera while flying. Often whenever flying down on the screen (S), which direction you intend to turn gets messed up.
I mostly play with the widest zoom. no matter what dino. the direction while flying is something I struggle a lot with. many times it flies the other way I want it to :/

It seems awkward to turn if you're flying down currently, never had the issue before. Another 10 hours of playtime might reprogram me.
@@insanity42 I played dryo recently and the new dodge is awful. I will probably need 100 hours to reprogram that. so, I know what you mean, even if I was never that good with ptera to feel the difference with it.
I wish you would gain Stan when hanging on trees and it would just be nice if you can land on tree branches
I agree. I wouldn't mind if it takes a little longer to get stam back at trees. but, it would be a nice feature. to land on branches as well. would love to be able to build a nest in trees :)
I know, that we will have to wait for a while till this happens, but I can not wait for Quetzo...

as far as I know, there were no other flyables announced so far. could be wrong tho :/

@@mikeoxsmal69 would be nice. the only problem tho, we've already more than 50 dinos at the end. with only 100 players on a server. not even two of a kind possible. plus humans. we would need way more players at the end. I would love a server with 500 people on, but, this is far from realistic :/

this new update benefits ptera so much i use to kill juvies with ptera for fun but now it will be more rewarding with the nutrients
yeah, I never killed them before, 'cause it was worthless. so, I also love that we get an reward now :)
I also didn't like pteras who attacked me before. now I am fine with it, 'cause they kill me for a reason XD
with the music the last scene looked so dramatic like a scene in the movie where the two kids run from their village wich is aflame after their parents told them to run, that kind of dramatic, i felt bad for those carno's because of that actually.

Hey Mombie, i suggest u steering with mouse when targeting babys, playing with ptera. Makes it a lot easier to hit ur attacks, because you can steer much preciser. Ps: Hold W while steering, almost forgot to say.
yeah, I often correct my direction with A & D, which is awful to fly precisely. what I don't like with W is the acceleration when you fly down (where the prey is). it took me ages to use space to get hight. if you watch my first videos, then you see I flew up and down with W and the mouse. so, there is some development. but, I still have to improve a lot. so, thx for the hint ♥ I will try to think about the next time :)

I don't think I've heard a hypsi since the update. I've seen and killed one though as a ptera.
yeah, sometimes you find many of them, but often they are rarely around. it was bad that it was the only playable to hunt. so much better now :)
How do you catch elite fish as a ptera? All i can catch is schooling fish?
you can't catch them like normal fish. all you can do is hope to find a dead one or in very rare moments they are swimming close to the surface at the edgde of the river and can be killed from the air. you need a couple of hits tho.

thx mate ♥ how to play human? you have to play on a private server. the official servers don't have humans. at the screen where you can choose the server, you have to switch to unofficial servers (on the right side of the screen). then you have to search a server which says "humans activated" or "with humans" or something like that. sadly there are not many tho :/

nope, the server people recommended so far were in NA. sadly my ping is too bad to play on them. most european server I saw had about 50 people. it's boring with less people. can you recommend a server with many people online in europe?

If you see any juvies standing around not paying attention, just land and alt attack them can easily take down 2-3 carnos. Using W and airbrake at the same time allows you to do pin point accurate landings. Even easier to kill juvies when they are eating due to the camera locking. Just land behind them and alt attacks, they stand no chance.

the new map is the only chance I see to run this game on a 1050ti. but, even then I only see a small chance that it runs properly. sadly :(
