45% remaining is amazing after 180 miles in a real world situation. I'd typically stop every 3 to 3.5 hrs even in a gas car, so this easily outdoes my need to stretch, use the toilet and/or get food.
Range will degrade slightly over time but agreed that’s pretty good for me. Hybrids might do a bit better as far as remaining mileage but this is good enough for me
I have the 24 LR AWD. My Round trip work is 167 miles. Every single time it uses 50% round trip, sometimes even less! Mostly at 75mph using autopilot as much as possible. Very impressed with the efficiency too. To work it's about 187wh/mile and back is 245. So 216 overall. It really can go the distance.
I will say one thing thought: the new Tesla steering wheel is absolutely gorgeous with the capacitive touch for the turn signals and windshield wipers. My only issue is I Tesla should've kept the physical transmission stalk. Hate the fact that it is now also behind a screen
For EV newbies, 329 miles at 100% charged is a reflection of this driver's driving style and environment (freeway/city driving mix)and has very little to do with the EPA range. Other drivers with different driving variables will get a slightly different number at 100%. Tesla navigation with remaining battery % at destination is a much better indicator of your range than the mile number indicator at the top of screen.
You're right, the same as any ICE car. I'm finding 279 miles from 80% charge with a 50/50 mixed roads/motorway drive of 110 miles, does show 169 miles remaining when I'm back home.
Went all the way from tampa Florida to Tuscaloosa Alabama (1200 mile round trip) was $112 to fill up. Took roughly 20-30 minutes each charge and was seemless always feels like there’s a charger in every major road stop
If you think about it, 329 compared to 340 EPA miles on a full charge makes sense since regen braking will often help make up for the difference in range the most. I’ve done road trips in Teslas before and I almost always arrive with more range than expected.
This is accurate. On longer drives, I get about 3-4 miles per 1% of charge, my estimates line up with my real world of over 320 miles by the time I hit 10% (Model 3 LR, 2023 - non highland version)
For best charging experience plug in at the lowest state of charge as you are comfortable with me around 5% this will get the fastest speeds only charge enough to get the next charger never full charge that will save you time.
My 2024 Model 3 Long Range gets 333 miles on a full charge, too, and not 341 miles. I'm new to Tesla, and I'm not sure if the 8 miles are reserved for 0% battery.
This does not work with FSD active on interstates because all FSD still uses the interstate stack and likes to hog the left lane. It’ll just turn off the turn signal and keep on doing what it is.
@@coke4274I have a Tesla with FSD 12.3.6 and it will auto cancel the turn signal on an interstate. On all other roads it will listen to your turn signal but on the interstate it vetos you.
@@ravipatel6553 Time saved, more convenience, is worth some extra money spent on gas. With an ICE car, it's easy living. No waiting time at Superchargers, ever.

I am genuinely happy with the Model 3

But will those flat cheap *membrane* turn signal buttons last for 70,000 presses? Doubtful.

Does this speak to battery degradation or purely the performance of the driver?

I’m doing a trip 700 miles in the 2024 model 3 lr tomorrow. We will see how it goes. It says only three charges will be needed on the trip
Let me know how it goes!

Yea, I am new as well.
That’s actually pretty damn good
Yes, my Model 3 also get 333 miles on full charge.
Great video! What's the make and model of that external display you're testing? Looks great! Do you have a link to it? Cheers
Great job on your video! FWIW I would love to see a review of a model S as a comparison. 👍
Thank you! I would love to get my hands on a Model S!
What is the model of the Apple CarPlay display?
I made a 311 mile trip on one charge 5hr 25 minutes with 11% 37 miles left. So I beat the EPA 341 estimate.
What kinda phone mount was that? And which gps was attached to ur windshield?
It's from Spigen!
Is that “Fasten Seatbelt” message new? I don’t think I’ve ever noticed it.
It has been there since I got the car.
you can use the turn signal to instruct the car to change lanes

That LED alignment from the door panel to the dash is atrocious. Wow…thats one of the worst I’ve seen out there!
Yea, it was very annoying art first, but I got used to it.
180 isn’t a road trip.
It may be.
It's not I do that everyday in my model 3 and never charge till I get home
