The siren at Hertford East and Shepreth level crossing sounded nice. I loved that sound.
That’s an E2S alarm 😉
It's in E2S alarm which replaced the original Yodalarm.
Excellent compilation - as a LC specialist in the USA, I am especially struck by how more sophisticated the warning devices are in the UK, as opposed to the US.

Being born in England I didn't get to see this futuristic siren. But now living in Canada we don't have gates or anything just a bell and two flashing lights.
I like the alarms at Ware.
Just realised this is the first RUclips video I’ve watched in 2014 (that was 10 years ago)
They're european sirens as oppose to electronic bells in the US.

At 2:17 why don't the gates have guards on the bottom? Also why is there only 1 barrier at each side? All of the crossings I see In the Uk have thies
It’s an automatic crossing so there’s no signaller to check over it so cars need a space to get out in case they get stuck
I didn't even realized that hertford east's yodalarm was replace by E2S
Train crossing makes me nervous, especially the sound they make, and I was terrified of them going off when I was younger.
If you’re at a crossing like Bardon Hill in Leicestershire, you don’t need to worry because that crossing is silent (no alarms).

Mostly AFB, a few AHB, one manual pedestrian gate with signals and sounder. None particularly unusual.

What do you mean "Different places in the United Kingdom"? They are probably all within 5 miles of Watford. Try getting out a bit more, preferably north of Watford.

I know since you did "Level Crossing In The UK 2009" things have changed like the lights & yodel alarms but im still standing in for you at Ware, St Margarets & Roydon. Oh by the way go onto Faberoony90 he did the same video as me but in Lincoln.

You ought to try and go to a few up the West Anglia Main Line - Sawbridgeworth has a good sounding yodalarm, and Great Chesterford crossing looks just like Roydon did 15 years ago. One more I'd suggest is Foxton, it was one of my favorites as a kid :D

No explanation as to the type of crossings, how they are controlled or from where!? Just some trainspotting from a road, wow. I learned nothing about level crossing from this, except you were stood at some.
It didn't say in the title that it would be about how level crossings work, or some kind of educational video, so really it's your own fault you wasted five minutes of your life.
