- For BQ 30Z55 datasheet, with more possible commands, search: "BQ30Z50,55-R1_TechRef.pdf"

I guess I had a bit different picture of the registers in the SBS. In my case I had PF flag set under both, "Manufacturing Status" and "Operation Status" registers.
I followed the video:
- Unsealed the chip
- On the Pro tab, wrote 00 to 0024 which set "Permanent Failure" feature to disabled state.
- Went back to SBS and refreshed. Nothing changed at all (same as on video).
- Then went back to Pro tab and wrote 00 to 0029 (Clear PF Data in Data Flash).
- Went back to SBS tab and refreshed. The PF in the "Operation Status" register flipped from RED to GREEN but PF in "Manufacturing Status" remained to be RED.
I tried to charge using DJI charger and it started charging the battery which is what I wanted.

Bravo it work I was starting to desperate, I have done it using old couch battery from other old pack (I manage to weld the aluminium strap using strong weld sharp cleaning the strap and put a drop of mineral oil immediately train yourself on battery that are dead )
in fact I am not going to use those old battery I want to use much cheaper 3.7V battery so I will have many parameters to change but to clear the Permanent error Flag (PF)was essential.
So this work take your time, work step by step ans you will succeed!
I am poor so I jusr can subscribe (my mavic pro is a gift the guy could not use it different problems that I easily solve but PF flag was very hard many guy sale their "magic key"

I managed to soft solder aluminium too ( i got a flux that kind of work) , but you can NOT trust such solder, specially for flying machine. Over time, they will detach.

Thank you for this video! I was able to recover one of my mavic pro batteries that went into hybernation mode. However, I have another issue with this battery. Although it is charged to a required 4.35V per cell when I put it onto a drone, the dji go 4 app shows how fast it drains back to 0% (like within 10-15 minutes). However, the voltage on each cell is still around 4.25V (both on the app screen and if measured by a multimeter). What is wrong with this battery? Is it the BMS board behaving this way? Because the cells accept the charge from a charger without a problem. My guess is that BMS is not computing the voltage the right way. Is there a way to reprogram it so it knows that 3.7V is 0% and 4.35V is 100% using this EV2300? By the way, I have tried to drain the battery down to 3.7V per cell and charge it back to 4.35V to calibrate it, but now 3 days later, it is still behaving strange. Any advice will be appreciated.
What do you select as a target device ? There isn't a bq30Z50 or 55-R1 ? When I open the program, it doesn't auto detect it. I can read the battery with a random one I choose but under "Current Device Mode" it says "Failed"
It was long ago so not 100% sure, but I believe I selected the BQ30Z55R3 . Or the closest you can find on the list :)

@@jorisvandongen9319 Yes, kinda. You need license from TI to be able to get it to work. Iv'e been using a program called "NLBA" Laptop Battery Analyzer. It works good but it costs $125 for year for unlimited DJI batteries.

Hi, I don´t know the pinout, but if you know where are the programming connections, you can always use a multimeter to find the Ground and Vs. Then just connect SCL and SDA randomly to check for communication. If it doesn´t works at first , swap them. Good luck :)

yes those batteries are expensive, and sometimes just get software locked because their voltage went below some value, or when you want to swap their cells...

So you can't just use pins 1 and 10 to access the SCL an SDA? You have to open the battery?
Unfortunately yes, there is a way to access the data ports but you need to drill holes in the case:

It will clear any software error, so as long as your battery board and cells are ok, yes it will fix it.
Im am an absolute noob in the world of bms and batteries. Im trying the above with an bq ev2400, however I keep getting the massage that it is not connected. Do you have any suggestions?
It says it is not connected when you run the software? You should first connect the EV2400, then start it.

Have you tried updating firmware? Apparently some versions of drone and battery may be incompatible.
When you update the drone, the battery firmware is checked and updated, if necessary.
I have already reset the settings and updated the firmware but I get the same message.... is there a solution to this?
@@Tecno-hv4km The only solution that I am aware of is setting to "non-dji battery", but of course you will lose battery status and info. You could also try to ask on www.dji-rev.com if you have not already, you are not the only one with this problem apparently...good luck.

Is it essential to use the ev2300 or is every other i2c converter ok? I don't have any i2c adapters so I have to buy one. I would like to by a cheap one, I do not need it often, I think only once
This has to do with the software, I believe it need to recognize and communicate with the interface.

I don´t know what chip is used in the Ph4 battery, but it may work if you have the key or if is not needed ...
