Blues gone heavy is basically how heavy metal came to exist lol serves as the backbone for a lot of doom metal bands as well, and almost certainly all stoner bands.
There are few genres with a more clearly defined starting point than the evolution of hard rock and blues into heavy metal and it's Black Sabbath self titled 1970.
