Farming Guide: Headhunter farm in 5 1/2 Hours. No Sextants, Scarabs, MF or Affliction POE 3.23

- This is a fun project I felt like doing since HH are so cheap compared to previous leagues. This was done a 15 divine character and in all honesty could have been cheaper as the character easily dealt with these maps and only died once.

Strategy Overview:
Start with 20 Jungle Valley Maps.
Set all but 1 favourite slot to Mesa and 1 to Jungle Valley. Run these maps getting deli mirror and pick up minion altars. If you get no good altars and no deli and you get your mesa map to drop leave the map early as this works out better profit in the long run
Run until you are out of jungle valley maps
Mesas:
Switch favourite to all Jungle Valley + 1 Mesa
Run maps
When Deli mirror spawns wait a few seconds as kills take a while to fill up meter
Get to close to 4 x rewards and then kill boss, end deli and exit
If no mirror spawn rush boss (Just make sure influence procs on the map, so kill enemies on the way)
Run until you have no more Mesa Maps
Rinse and Repeat!
Including selling the oversustained maps if I sold everything the total income for this farm was 103 divines which works out at about 20 divines per hour. However nobody sells everything which is why I have been more conservative with the title!

Hi Fuzzy, just leaving a small tip for complete 100% map sustain for those who don't have all favoured map slots unlocked (This was me early league, so just want to share what I did to compensate)
You can employ map blocking on the strategy for full map sustain. Here's how to do it:
1. Allocate Shadow shaping - favoured maps do not drop
2. Add surrounding maps as favoured - you should only need 3 slots for this, - favour the one below and lower right of jungle valley, and then the one above mesa
3. This still needs the 100% adjacent map drop chance. As long as you are killing most of the mobs in your map, you should be able to sustain 100%

switched to this strat from t7 abyss farming in cem... i made 75 divs in about 8 hours and bought a headhunter... thank you! this is so much easier than spending 20 minutes sifting through drops to find nothing of value. i was in mf gear with poison arrow, much slower move speed and was still quite fast.
Thanks for this farming guide! :) I got a little bit bored from harvest farming and wanted to try something different. What I'm doing in addition, is putting a point into "Singular Focus" while farming the Jungle Valley maps, since you don't kill the boss and don't care about special map drops. It boosts the Mesa map drops by a lot. And removing it when farming Mesa since afaik it cancels the Shaper/Elder... Map Drops.

Omg I learned something very important with this video. You don't need to kill the boss to get an invitation tick. Doesn't matter what map you do. You can just enter a map and wait for the influence to pop and then exit and you get an invitation tick. Though you need to remember to kill the map boss once you're at the 28th tick.
Neat method overall though! I would probably just focus on doing the Mesa map strategy and instead of your presented method, run Jungle Valley alched with Singular Focus and unspecced out of Wandering Path when I need Mesa maps (a TS build of this caliber will be more than needed, especially with double Inspired Learning which are really cheap now), focusing more on farming maps than going fast so that I instead can go really fast blasting Mesa maps back to back until I can sustain Mesa maps easily.

THANK YOU for this, seriously. I got a Hinekora's lock after about 6 hours or 8 hours of farming... it dropped from the boss in Jungle Valley and I sold it for 60 divine and instantly bought a headhunter.
I just wanted to say thank you. Finally after playing since beta I got my hands on a headhunter because of this farming strat. I was already ~30 div into the character so quite a bit stronger. If you can handle it I highly recommend "alch and go" as i found several divs and a valdos or two during the journey.
Also I was using Explosive Arrow Ballista build and it worked very well for this just sometimes some backtracking when good loot dropped.

Man, I ended up trying a strategy very similar on my own but I didn't really understand how to properly run it to ensure real profit using it, especially as far as the deli orb's/invitations are concerned. Thanks for the video. Mesa best map.
If you are having trouble sustaining maps on your own and don't want to buy them, you can make a couple changes. You'll spend more time in the maps though, so your profit per hour will drop. Take Shadow Shaping on the atlas passive tree, then set Stagnation, Mud Geyser, and Arid Lake as your favorites. Do NOT set either Mesa or Jungle Valley. Now, instead of just rushing the boss in Mesa and leaving, clear Mesa until you get your Jungle Valley drop. Then leave. Same for Jungle Valley, clear until you get your Mesa drop.
Shadow Shaping makes it so your favored maps cannot drop. By favoring the three I mentioned, your 100% connected map HAS to be Jungle Valley or Mesa. You can do this until you have a comfortable map pool, then unallocate Shadow Shaping and redo your favorites. I have run into issues with this, where sometimes I won't get my connected map, but that's not extremely common.
Honestly people should have no problem sustaining. I now have 1.5 stash tabs full of Mesas from my starting supply of 25 jungle valleys. Shadow shaping also works I just prefer not to take it as non connected maps that drop will be random, but is perfectly fine to take
I started this yesterday... I started late into the league, not even a week in at the time of this post but I already had a deadeye at level 92 and was just about to finish my atlas when I came across this video. Followed the video, just casually farming not even fully rushing. Sometimes I find myself zoning out and just full clearing a jungle valley map without a deli mirror. And yet, I've already farmed 64 divs. Pretty close now.

@@FuzzyDuckzy I have one other question. Because I’m new this might sound dumb, but why does delirium seem to end randomly? Do I have to face the mirror a certain way when I start it? I sometimes feel like I’m falling short of ending it in the boss chambers
small tip for you FDG. If you just open your inventory, you can crtl+click items to move them to your wildwood rucksack.

I followed this strategy but with expedition.. and if there is deli mirror, I'll probably run the whole map to get the best rewards. now I got 28d for around 7 hours. much slower than you but it still works. it's just fun for me :p thank you. the best thing I learned from this video is the way to build a farming strategy. First, browse the market(ninja economy) to find the balance of easy-to-get and valuable things. then craft your build and tree to farm it effectively. It's a super reasonable way of thinking in work. it's just I never thought to use it in games. thanks again hahaha

Been doing this for maybe 3 hours, so far profit from 90ish maps is 15.7Div with another 9 div still to be made from trading stuff.
I had to pay 50C for 10 jungle valleys to start. Love this strat with my Tornado shot deadeye character

30 maps per hour seems more realistic than the 50 maps per hour showcased in the video. You'd reach the 80div point in about 12 hours (averaging around 20 div in 3 hours) of mindless farming. It's easy but not really more profitable than any other random strat you can come up with.

I've never had any currency in this game. I started this strategy with very little currency and now I'm about to buy a Headhunter (60div currently) and I can be picky about which one I want. I've got hundreds of hours in the game and this is the best strategy to get up and running. Fantastic, thank you. Mind you I'm doing this much slower and sometimes finishing maps. Things have dropped I've never heard of before.....
Awesome glad it helped. Play the game how you want you don't have to speed through the maps and fully clearing just means you get more maps and currency to drop
I did this same strategy but on strand and fields. Super effective. Strand would net me almost 1/3 simulacrums and they are going for a divine
Yeah Strands and Fields is a pretty good shout or even Strands and Collenade
you can move your maps to the extra backpack by closing everything but the inventory and then just click strg+shift+ left click. sounds small but u can manage ur backback in seconds and its very very comfortable

I feel like this is slightly slower since i'm running poison rain pathfinder, but feeling stuck with the build i use some extra divines to plan my next build and/or invest in some more powerful items would be nice..

I've been running a crop rotation Harvest strat and I'm making loads of currency but roliing maps and buying compasses is killing me as I can't no life the game like some people, setting up eats into my game time too much. I'll give a strat like this a go looks perfect for just getting on and blasting some monsters. Great channel btw, I'll be trying your strats out.
Thanks. I really like crop rotation it is good fun, but agree sometimes it can be a bit of a chore to buy supplies. I like to rotate strats so for a few days I will do a no investment strat, then change it up when I get bored and do something that needs more mapping supplires
Sitting in hideout, dm'ing people from TFT for compasses, spending 5+ divines upfront for these and scarabs, rolling map mods and quant.... it's so annoying and really not worth my time. Strats like this are the best, ty:) .
Even harbi boss-rushing on Crimson township is too much effort (buying sextants, maps).

i always hated that you dont drop anyway near as much guardian maps with wandering path as without. but one thing you can do this league is buy elder guardian on bosskill sextants (at least when i checked last they were WAY to cheap) and you can apply 4 at once. other sextants work fine but were way more expensive

I'm not sure I understant the "changing the tree" part, should we change the tree when we switch from mesa to jungle valley and vice versa ? Also I dont really understant the nodes you were suggesting to add, could you show us a second tree and when we should switch ? Otherwise, splendid video, I've been running this for 5 jours, haven't counted anything yet (and I run almost the entire map and some events so I'll be well under your profist but thats okay), it helped a lot having some sort of strategy where I was doing random things here and there before, I'll sub !
I wouldn't worry about changing the tree part it's probably not worth it unless you end up with 100s of maps.

The farming strategy will work the same but I have no idea on the standard economy, so not sure what all the loot would be worth as the economy in affliction was pretty volatile

You can hit with multiple arrows with tornado shot so it's probably more like 3-4 million + the manaforged setup adds a bit of damage

imho when you kinda bossrush - altars are not worth clicking.
i take just take reds and 10% chanse get double progress for invitation
also i pingpong between dunes and chateau
What is the 6th socket on your bow? 3 attacks linked to manaforged and inspiration in the POB etc, but whats the last socket?
I don't have a 6 link bow so you would just add in another damage gem

You would basically drop wandering path and take all the nodes at the top that give inreased chance to drop boss maps and you would take the node that gives you chance to get more exarch progress. If you youtube boss rushing strats there should be lots of examples of trees as certainly last league it was pretty popular

when you were drag and dropping the normal maps into your Primal backbag:
If you close your stash and just have the inventory and the bag open you can crtl+click items back and forth between them

If youre not worried about getting the shaper maps how would feel about adding Singular Focus, you would still get elder and conq. maps if they roll onto Mesa or Jungle, and you should end with way more maps in the end to use or bulk sale.
You can do I am not sure you will end up with many more maps though. The other issues is that conq maps are huge money compared to the others. It is an option though if you are worried about sustain
I've been running with singular only done 2 cycles of 28 maps. My map drops have been plentiful, using a 5/5 split between mesa/jungle. I've gotten 3 conq maps so far. 3 high value memories and empower and enlighten.

What's the best way to unlock favoured map slots? Really wanna try this strat out but I've only 3 slots and I feel like it wouldn't be enough to self-sustain maps
The first 6 are pretty easy: Complete any T16 map, Eater of Worlds, Searing Exarch, Elder Guardian, Shaper Guardian and Conqueror
Dumb Noob question here: how did you quickly change your favorite maps like that? i have been looking for a way to do that and I still dont know how that is done
If the map you want to favourite is already in your favourites you can click on that instead of clicking on the map in the atlas, so I just click the empty slot and then the slot above that already has the map favourited
hey, dumb question here.... if I had a 6tth slot linked on my bown can I use Ice nova or would that brick the charm for critical against shocked and ignited enemies?
It won't brick anything but I'm not sure what the spell would bring up the build.
I meant ice shot, or what other skill would you recommend for the manaforged setup

Would you recommend using Affliction mechanic and alch the map? I have a HH so I think I could farm same speed than a white map, have you tried it?
It is no worth it really you will not get much back from doing it overall. I did test it for a bit and for this strategy I think it is less money. I think if you can do affliction you should be doing an affliction targeted strat as it is likely to be more income if you do not mind buying all the materials

After you were to get the hh in this scenario, how important is swapping to a phys bow?
I personally don't think it's worth the investment as Phys TS builds are crazy expensive. I genuinely don't think you need the power that Phys brings but if you want to sink mirrors into a build you can. I would probably just go ele omni

The Altar one is not a notable so it works.

I've always wanted to try TS. I have a 92 Toxic Rain PF but what really turned me on as an EA champ with totems seem to turn me off completely with the PF. Would it make sense to try and reroll it for a TS in SSF? I know it will not be crazy but could it done?
I mean you could re-roll but I would be more tempted to level up another character as a basic TS character is gonna struggle with stuff like bossing and invitations which you might want to do in SSF. If you do switch I would definitely farm up the gear first and maybe find a reputable guide as this toon was really designed to just be able to do this fairly easy content. It would struggle in juiced stuff and bossing

I used this Strategy .. not as effectively as your skill showed ,but made more currency this weekend than I have in any other league.. thank you ( and would you only start this atlas once you have 110 points or more? )

I am going to do a run on bosses only with Mesa and probably with deli but force deli on map device with 7th gate. I think the problem is you can never sustain the maps boss rushing and according to others Mesa maps are now insanely expensive to buy in bulk.
Silly question from a noob, how do you stop deli? I usually just stand there waiting until it ends and drops my loot. I hate it.
There is an arrow on the bottom right. I think you can also keybind this in options

Can we do blue altars instead, for the possibility of the divine altar? whats the difference?
It would be a less currency even if you hit the divine altar as often as expected as the invitation is worth quite a bit less and the rest of the loot from blue altars is pretty bad. You can obviously do it if you like but if you do not hit that lucky divine altar you will make a lot less currency

I put the prices in pob but essentially you want to ideally be ailment immune with minus mana cost rings and mana cost on helmet. 900 ele DPs bow and decent ele quiver along with the uniques. In all honestly though the build is not every good and you do not need much player power to do scoured T16 maps

what i did find useful was the atlas skills tree. i rewired all that and yeah the deli orbs are dropping for sure. I dont have as many favour maps as you though so i think ill try that idea someone else added here about how to get maps u want.
about the clear well im alright but seem to bumble along a bit slower than you, not sure. @@FuzzyDuckzy
@@pAULEE_wORLi Yeah speed will differ per player. Being quick in maps is important but probably more important is being quicker between maps. This character was really just designed for this type of content and it does excel at it, but if I tried to put it through more juiced content pretty sure it would fail pretty hard

Hey there, nice video. How do I keep deli from crashing my PC? Brand new pc, with RTX 4070. Don’t understand it. It crashes like 1/2 the delis I do. I’m using a slightly different strat, but it’s deli focused. Thinking of switching to this Strat but I don’t want to if it’s just gonna keep crashing lol
I can’t help with the PC issues I would suggest trying the different renderers to see if they make a difference. I have a 3070 and don’t have any issues so not sure what to suggest

Hello, how do u manage to active haste+grace+presicion please? if i active only presicion+one of them i cannot cast more then 1 skill (and i got 2 non channel rings)
Good question I am not actually sure I may have messed the POB up. I think you need to take the mana nodes and 12% mastery and you would drop aspect of the lynx and the nodes leading to it
Had same problem, bought helmet with "mana reservation of skills efficiency" and I think I have note like this in tree and I'm able to use all 3 auras
I switched to this from mayven boss rush, in 4-5 hours ive made 40 divs, got skill gem for 14 divs, two einhars maps for 5 and 3 divs and valdo box, even when i have no rarity/quantity in my build (12% i think). Works great, it also provides decent xp. Do u think using cart chiesels is worth?
It's probably not worth chiseling unless you alch your maps
You can ~1 minute tí the map by going back to the wildwood and fish for the merchants, lots of bog ticket items there
I don't think it's worth it 1 minute is about 65c and don't think you will ever make that back by backtracking to the wildwood. You would need to find a 1 divine item every 3.5 maps

Why do you take the atlas tree point "higher map tier chance" map drop ? They are already t16, what's the point ? I don't get it ! Thanks
Maps do drop below T16 they just get turned into map equity points. When you hit a certain amount of points a T16 map will drop. Running higher map drop chance inrcreases the points you get and turns T15s into T16s
i cant seem to get a build to end game so that leads me to this question....how do you get alters in maps?
Atlas appear once you complete the first 2 bosses in T16 maps (Eater & Exarch) you can select to add their influence to maps which gives altars a chance to appear.

Just because it's linked to Mesa and you get minion option every time an altar spawns. Wildwood IMO is terrible unless you are specifically juicing maps to get tons of rare monsters. You have to get super lucky with whisp distribution

You should still sustain as bosses drop a lot of maps and these are often duplicated. You may only get 80% but when you run jungle valley on average you will get a lot more than 1 Mesa per map
Couldn't you just use shadow shaping and favorite off the other maps connecting to jungle valley and mesa and ping pong from them doing it that way? So just run a set of mesa and then you'll have a collection of jungle valley and then basically and endless loop? Does the map dropping as 1 tier higher do anything with all 4 voidstones?
was going to say the same thing. only need to sac 3 maps to block off jungle valley and mesa, and spend the rest on whatever else. and possibly get some juicy map mods to drop. ive been selling cemetery maps with a +2 abyss implicit for quite a nice profit

@@ShivaMurary You just take like all the maps that are also connected to the maps you want to run and favorite them, and with that passive it blocks favorited maps from dropping. So for Jungle Valley and Mesa, look for any map that is connected to Mesa and favorite them, same for Jungle Valley, so by doing that the only connected map that can drop is Mesa if you are on Jungle Valley and then Jungle Valley if you are on Mesa.
You can but you end up with a lot of junk maps. You will get a lot of map drops naturally and with having 9 fave slots dedicated to the map you want to drop you end up with a lot more of them. With shadow shaping you just get random maps if they are not connected drops. The 1 tier higher does help you drop quite a lot more maps but it is very long winded and hard to explain essentially maps still drop they are just turned into points by the game then when you hit a certain amount of points the game drops you a T16 map. Having everything drop a tier higher means you get more points and also means you turn all T15 maps into T16 maps

It costs 10c per map and you get it in around 65% of maps I believe but it is definitely something you could do I just wanted to keep the strat as simple as possible with no upfront costs

Probably but doubt it would be much fun. The build is just thrown together without much thought just to be able to do this sort of content

Correct whatever map you are running favourite that only once and then every other favourite should be your connected map. In all honesty I do not think it matters that much and you could probably just do them half and half I doubt there would be much difference

I've legitimately only made 6 divines total with over 100 hours played on my current Necromancer build, even perma running into the wildwood. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong either. I've gone all the way up to corrupted T16 maps but I cant beat the Searing Exarch or Eater of worlds, and any Maven Incfluence Bosses seem nearly impossible for me to kill but I die almlst instantly even though I have 75% Res and 3k hp. At this point I can't tell if it's just that I have really really bad gear or if I just have a fundamental misunderstanding of the game atm. I have 800hrs in Path of Exile, but it feels like I know absolutely nothing about the Endgame lol.
I would take a look at your build as the intro versions of exarch and eater should be pretty comfortable on most builds. You really need to get at least your first 2 voidstones before you can start earning good money
This leagues prices are just busted, I thought this was a 35 div/h strat because of traditional HH prices lol. But still 15 div/h is very respectable.

you should prob have either singular focus or shadow shaping that could be left out in error
Singular focus will reduce your boss maps when running Mesa. Shadow shaping is ok, but means any maps that drop that are not connected will just be random maps. I prefer the way I have done it but can understand why people might want to run shadow shaping

How are you getting these prices selling exarch invitations? They just don't sell at 3d anymore.
I sold them 4 hours ago instantly for 3.2 div each. Looking at TFT all bulk listings for 3.2 divines are selling within minutes. This is in bulk though you won't get this price if you only sell them individually

@@AronFigaro no I sold mine on trade site that was just an example. If you have bulk you can get .3 more divines per invitation. One thing to note is that prices fluctuate depending on the time of day. I find after 9 pm GMT prices start to drop and pick up again the next morning
you dont need to use TFT to bulk sell things like invitations. just make em all public and price one of them like:
exact price 10/3 div
the trade site will group all of them up and show a listing on the bulk section for 10 div for 3 invitations and show all your public invitstins as stock. if you list your prices as fractions, it wont show up as a single listing, only on the bulk section.

So, the video is good, but I want to warn people that this is unique to this league. Almost everything is selling 2-3x more than normal (especially those invitations, they are at least 2x as much) and the Head Hunter price at this point in the league is significantly cheaper than in previous leagues due to many factors, but primarily more of them dropping, along with Mageblood. This farm would have taken about 3 times longer in previous leagues and will probably go back to that in the next league.
Yeah agree I think with any farming video people need to do their homework and check prices on stuff as even in a week the economy can change a crazy amount. If everyeone suddenly fams deli and exarch altars it will drastically effect profit. I think I will start adding a small section at the start of my farming videos to explain this is relevant to when the content was recorded and to check prices before proceeding

This video helped me in the most unexpected way. I was clearing my dump tab to make it a loot tab for this strat, and vendored some Ventor's Gambles and got back a rerolled one. It had max quant and rarity and I sold it 10 minutes later for 180 div.
