I always find your videos informative and they have been very helpful as I have been rebuilding my Mk3 from boxes The Norton manual can be a bit vague and you have clarified many points , thanks again.
Ashley, the fact that these items have "06-" part numbers indicates that they are unique to the Commando and are different from the previous AMC/Norton gearbox, which carry "04" part numbers. Of course, the mainshaft will be different on the Commando since the Commando clutch basket is deeper and a different configuration than the earlier type but what parts were used in this location for securing the clutch or locating it on the Atlas, P11, or Matchless and AJS models? How do the two types compare? Is the Commando spec less strong or capable of carrying load and a step down from earlier parts/design?
Please keep the videos coming, always enjoy and great advert for AN.
