- i don't know what is up with me consuming doomed relationship media these days (watch link click for doomed yaoi)
(kinda disclaimer i'm an abc who has unfortunately kinda fallen victim to da english language so my words should be taken with a grain of salt pwease and thank you
luke calls aaron “yang ge / 杨哥" in cn, in which ge is kinda akin to aniki
sometimes when classmates and such tease each other or if your teacher calls on you they'll often go " fellow student [ last name] / [last name] 同学”
[1] ”离愁别绪“ - refers to the sad emotions of saying goodbye and missing each other before and after separation
[2] kiki plays off the idiom rosa mentioned in the previous line, which is 朝不保夕", lit. to be a in a critical/desperate situation. she adds on with "之争朝夕“, which means to make the best of your time. both idioms contain the word "夕"
[3] original phrase is 象牙塔 (lit. ivory tower) - meaning a sheltered, overly academic existence or perspective that implies a disconnection from reality
[4] lit. "could break out any time / on the verge of a crisis"
[5] lit. "the real hermit will choose to retreat to the city" - can be interpreted as if you're able to rely on yourself to isolate yourself from the outside world.
[6] "wei ming" is how stellis' name in chinese
[7] luke uses 山人 / hermit to refer to himself (i think) lit. a hermit has his tricks (and since the hermit metaphor was used earlier this has relevance)
[8] lit. "i can't even get half a sentence out"

so for this series the after stories are canon and none of the MLs actually die ^^ but if u want a more angsty route u can ofc pretend that the after story conversation doesnt happen haha
