Took a Covid Test for the first time and flew to Hawaii for our Anniversary!❤️ Hope you find this first part of our Hawaii trip mini series helpful! Have a safe and fun-filled weekend!😊
Hi I am a little confused , I have a flight Wednesday at 8 am would i take my covid test Sunday morning ?
@@nallelydelgado9138 Hi! So yeah, you can take the test anytime from Sunday 8am (If it was me though, I'd probably do it Sunday lunchtime of afternoon just so it's not too close to the 72-hr mark in case there's unexpected changes in my flight or something). Just make sure whoever's doing it will be a ble to provide the results before you leave because you still have to upload your results😊
Hi there, we are trying to plan a trip to Hawaii in June. We would need to fly to Long Beach first, stay the night, then next day fly to Maui. Would we have to get our test done the day before we leave for Long Beach? The time frame is so confusing and I am afraid we would miss the deadline. 😐
Thanks for creating this video, super helpful! Can you clarify if the QR gets sent to your email?
Thank God we can bypass the test as we are fully vaccinated!
Yes! I'm glad they're finally making it a bit easier!😊 Safe travels!:)
Hi there! Please help me out here. If I am traveling from Florida (EST) & my connecting flight is from Los Angles (PST) which time zone do I go with?
Hi! So if your flight is from Florida to LA to Hawaii, you follow the timezone of LA (PST) because it's the last leg to Hawaii😊
Hello wanted to know little confused on choosing provider form or standard Hawaii form ?
Hi! We just picked standard Hawaii form for ours:)
So complicated to travel today ! Too many firey hoops & hurdles to jump through. Unlike before just pay your boarding pass & hotel then go. No telling how soon when these requirements will be eliminated. Thanks for sharing
Very true. You're welcome😊
@@ItsTrixTV have you done travels outside USA 🇺🇸 with covid
Not yet. I think I'll wait a bit before I do so:)
Can you upload your covid results using your phone?
Hi! I haven't tried but I saw this online and it has instructions if using mobile. Hope this helps: ets.hawaii.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Kaiser-HI_Uploading-COVID-Test-Results-101620.pdf

Hi so if I am leaving on June 14. My departing flight leaves at 10:30 am. What day and what time should I get tested?!?
Hi! June 11 anytime after lunch would be best😊
perfect. I have an appointment at 12:05pm!
I’ll be taking mine at Walgreens which close Covid drive thru testing at 5pm. If my first flight is Wednesday Sep 1 @ 3:35pm departing from Denver to California and my next flight is that same day from California to Honolulu Oahu @6pm & I live in Colorado (1hr ahead of Cali making it 7pm) then my only choice is to take it as early as possible On Monday Aug 30th right? Since you said last leg it’d be the California flight I assume. Also Aug 31 I’d have to do the health questionnaire w/in 24hrs of that flight. What if I don’t get my results till later that day? Do I have to submit the test results first then do it and still be able to receive my qr code or can I still do the health questionnaire? Sorry for the long confusing questions!
Hi! Technically you can test in CO anytime after 7pm of Aug 29th (Sunday) but if there is no testing available Sunday night, then yes, Aug 30th early morning will be best. I would call to make sure they will provide your results before your flight. And yes you can answer the questionnaire anytime after 7pm on Aug 31st since that is within 24hrs of your frlight from CA to HI. Hope everything goes well! Stay safe and please do continue checking travel.hawaii.gov for updates because per the news, there is currently a Covid19 surge in HI. Stay safe!
@@ItsTrixTV Thank you very much for the information! I have been informed of the COVID-19 surge and will for sure be looking at the website for any updates.
You're welcome! Safe travels!:)
Currently, if I am flying from somewhere like Korea but I am from the U.S. Will this still apply to me today?
Hi! You might have to confirm that by contacting them, just to be sure -- www.gohawaii.com/travel-requirements 😊
@@ItsTrixTV Thank you!
What if my flight is on Thursday 17th at 7:35am from Portland. What time should I take the test?
Monday the 14th around 10am or lunch time would be the best time to test😊
Oh ok because someone told me to take it in the 15 th
Thanks !!
You can take the test anytime from the 14th after 7:35am which means you can take it on the 15th too but I'd rather do it the earliest possible date within the 72 hr window to make sure you get the results on time😊
You're welcome😊
Hi if I travel with my 7 month old baby is she needs proof of covid?
Hi! Looks like children under 5 do not need to test for Covid according to this 😊 --- hawaiicovid19.com/travel/faqs/

Thanks for making this video
You're welcome😊 Hope you have a great weekend❤️
How long did it take to get your QR code after you uploaded your negative test results?
You get the QR code after you fill out the questionnaire (you fill out the questionnaire within 24hrs before your flight). 😊
Thanks so much!!
@@ItsTrixTV Hi again….do you take questionnaire first and then upload COVID results or vice versa to get QR code? Does it matter? Thanks
We uploaded our covid results first😊
@@ItsTrixTV Thanks again!!
Safe travels sis 😍💕
Thanks sis!❤️
Can you show us step by step on how to save COVID results as pdf I have an upcoming trip to Hawaii and I’m quite confused! This video did help but I’m still lost :/
Hi! The travel partner website usually has specific instructions on how to do it so it would depend on the travel partner you went with.
Ours was Carbon Health and this is what's on theirs: Carbon Health Download Instructions
How do I download my COVID-19 Test Results PDF?
Once logged in to your Carbon Health account, you can access the PDF of your test results in the 'My Health' section by scrolling and selecting 'Lab Results'. Once in 'Lab Results', select the test result you would like to view, scroll to the bottom of the page, and select the PDF icon on the bottom left side.
If you are using the Carbon Health mobile app, use the Export button on the bottom left to email or message your results PDF.
If you are on the Carbon Health desktop site, use the Download button in the top right corner to obtain your results PDF.
@@ItsTrixTV I’m using Walgreens so I’m not sure how I can download it as a pdf.
For the health questionnaire do you answer 24 hours before from my leg flight which is Seattle. Thank you for all the help
Yes correct😊 You're welcome!
Remember the site accept only the test result as in PDF Format .
Hi, great informative video. Was wondering when I should take my test and what do you best advice my flight is on a Saturday leaves at 6pm. A bit nervous about the whole process.
If there is an available appointment after 6pm on Wednesday, that would be great. If there's none, Thursday early morning would be good. Just make sure to call the provider to ask if they can guarantee that you get the results by Friday or really early on Saturday so you can upload it on time. Don't be nervous. As long as you call your provider, you'll be fine❤️
Hi. I have a connecting flight in Maui to get to Honolulu that leaves on the 17th at 1:20pm and was wondering what time I would get the test at. My first flight is from LAX to Maui at 7:30am on the 17th
Hi! June 14th before lunch would be best😊
Walgreens is one of that they accept
Yep
Yes, I believe it's in the list😊
Is the next one the Hawaii trip itself?!
Hi! My flight leaves Thursday from Minnesota at 10:30 am from a central time zone, but I live in an eastern time zone for testing. I am a hour behind them so I would get tested on Monday AFTER 11:30 am? Any response is appreciated I’m freaking out!
Hi! You're correct. Anytime after 11:30am your time (Eastern) on Monday would be the time to get tested. I suggest doing it Monday afternoon though so it's not too close to the 72-hr mark (just in case there are unexpected adjustments in your flight like delays or something). 😊
Wow!! Thank you!
Hello.. I’m in GA and we are 6 hours ahead of Hawaii. My departing flight to Hawaii is May 1st at 1:15pm. When should I test??
Hi! You will follow the timezone of where you are departing from. If your 1:15pm flight to Hawaii on May 1st departs from GA, you can take the test anytime after April 28 1:15pm😊 I suggest doing it late afternoon if April 28th.
@@ItsTrixTV Thank you, also great video!
Great video! question, is there any extra steps to do when you’re going to leave Hawaii?
Glad you liked it! It depends on your destination. Ours was California, which didn't need any requirements so we didn't have to do anything when we left Hawaii😊
I screenshot my results and converted the file to pdf, the system shows as covid negative, does this mean it’s accepted?
Yes that sounds like it's been accepted. Don't forget to answer the questionnaire online within 24hrs before the flight😊
hi! my flight leaves monday may 10 at 7 am from slc and then we have a connecting flight in lax at 8:45 am. would I get a test that friday before at 8:45? thank you!!
Yes, anytime after 8:45am of the Friday before. I suggest doing the test around lunch time or in the afternoon just so it's not too close to the 72-hr mark (in case there are unexpected adjustments on your flight schedule) 😊
@@ItsTrixTV thank you !!
You're welcome!
if we test negative and upload the documents do we still need to complete the daily check ins in the website?
Hi! We didn't do the daily check ins anymore because our trip was quick. As long as you upload documents, answer the questionnaire and get the QR code to present to Hawaii airport, you should be good😊
do i need to take a picture of myself on the documents section? is that required?
We didn't take any photos and we were fine so I would say it's okay not to😊
Hi!! Just wanted to ask our flight is tomorrow at 525pm.. we have uploaded our negative covid test results already. Its 750 pm here in san francisco, can we start answering the health questionnaire now?
Hi! Yes, you should be able to access and answer the questionnaire now. Each person should get a QR code after answering the questionnaire😊
@@ItsTrixTV thank you!
My departure flight is leaving from Dallas at 11:50 on May 3rd (I’m from St. Louis, same time zone as Dallas) when should I take my Covid test? They say cvs here takes usually 1-2 days
Anytime after 11:50 on April 30th would be the best time to take it😊 Before setting an appointment, make sure to call them and have them guarantee that they can give you the results on time😊
Did you need a passport When coming from the United States ?
Hi! No need for a passport. I flew from California and just presented my license😊
Hawaii is a state. Just show I.D like any other state.
Thank you for the video! Do you know if filling out the health questionnaire more than 24hours in advance will be a problem?
Hi!😊 It is part of their instructions to do it withing 24hrs so I would just follow it because it might not give you a QR code.
If my flight leaves from San Diego at 0830 on aug 1 when should I take my covid test?
July 29th after 8:30😊
Do we show the QR code in Hawaii?
Hi! Yes, they have 'screeners' at the airport. I filmed our arrival at the Hawaii airport here -- ruclips.net/video/jkHJGXOiZ5o/видео.html 😊 Hope that helps
I have a quick question. I am also traveling to Hawaii soon . If I fly out on a Thursday Morning 7 am . Should I get tested Monday or Tuesday?
Hi! You can get tested either Monday (after 7am) or anytime Tuesday😊 You'll just have to make sure that you get results right away because you still need to upload it .
Thanks for the video and very helpful infos. Does insurance cover the testing cost? If anyone knows please share. Thank you
If you are Kaiser member the answer is YES
You're welcome! I believe it varies so it would be better to ask the providers directly😊
I got an ID Now NAAT test at Walgreens at no cost, got my result within 1 hour.
Hello I’m departing to Maui on April 22 @10am
When’s the best time to get tested?
April 19 in the afternoon😊
What is the difference between putting Hawaii stand form and provider form? Should I switch it from provider form to Hawaii form ?
Hi! Did a little research and the site didn't really specify the difference. We chose Hawaii form because it had the State of Hawaii Stamp on the upper left of our results. Info in this link doesn't mention it either but there is a contact number if you want to clarify -- ets.hawaii.gov/travelhelp/#HOW_DO_I_UPLOAD_A_DOCUMENT_(SUCH_AS_A_COVID_TEST_RESULTS). Hope that helps😊
@@ItsTrixTV how did you choose the Hawaii form instead of the provider form? Do they give you the option to choose at whichever trusted partner you get tested? Thanks a lot!
@@alyssadeluna3248 Hi! There is a dropdown with form options. We picked Hawaii because the form had that Hawaii stamp so we figured it might be a Hawaii form. Yes you get to pick from the listed trusted partners in the site mentioned in the video😊 I would just make sure that they are able to provide the results before the flight.
@@ItsTrixTV Oh okay! But when you get tested you don’t get to pick which form they’ll use to give you the result, right? It’ll either be the Hawaiian or Provider form? It’s just based on the testing center that you go to?
Thank you so much!
@@alyssadeluna3248 I believe so. When we went to our provider, we simply said that it's for Hawaii and they knew what to do. I guess just make sure to tell your provider that you're doing the test for Hawaii just to make sure that they give you the right paperwork😊
sad to say it doesnt have a carbon health in anchorage😥 are flight is on april 8 when should i take my swabtest? i hope u can help me. thankyou
Hi! No worries, there's a lot more on their list in this website hawaiicovid19.com/travel-partners/ . If flight is on April 8, you can take the test starting April 5 (time will depend on your departure time)😊

Hi! Ours was Carbon Health and we were guaranteed (before we took the test) that they will provide the results at an exact time the next day.
@@ItsTrixTV so basically 24 hour results? Oh, that’s perfect! So glad I came across your video. Now we can be excited about our trip without stressing lol. Thank you! So if we leave Saturday at 8am, we should test anytime Wednesday after 8am, right?
I’m on the same boat right now
Does the test have to be 3 days/ 72 hours before the flight or can I take the test 48 hours before the flight?
It can be 48 hrs before as long as you get the results on time😊
Hi! Thanks so much for this video. Do you know if you have to get tested prior to leaving Hawaii? I’m hoping by the time I go they have something for those of us who are fully vaccinated.
Hi! I read in this article that Hawaii is trying to come up with a special kind of passport for that (around May 2021 per the article). I guess you can just keep on checking Hawaii's travel website every now and then for updates😊
Here's the article that I saw-- www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/geoffwhitmore/2021/03/16/travel-changes-for-those-who-are-fully-vaccinated/amp/

My last flight departs from California at 3:00 pm but I’m coming from Virginia which is a 3 hour time difference, when and what time should I get my covid test I leave Tuesday the 4th
You can take the test in Viginia anytime after 6pm EST (Virginia Time) on the Saturday before the flight😊
can i do the rapid test?? or does it have to be the diagnostic one
Hi! Ours was diagnostic but I'm not sure if any of the partners have rapid. We just contacted one of the travel partners in the list and mentioned that it was for Hawaii and they knew what to do. I suggest calling the provider (from the list) that is close to you and checking with them. Here's the list in case you need it: hawaiicovid19.com/travel-partners/
Is there any free testing or do you have pay for the testing????
I haven't seen one that's free that can guarantee results on time but you can check with the list of travel partners from the website I've mentioned in the video😊

My flight is at 9am sunday SD time . I should test thursday or friday? Thanku
Im planning on testing in san diego.
Can the test be from a local place not one of their listing but a legit other local place with the PCR flight test that shows negative?
Hi! Per their website, it has to be one of the partners in their list.
Flying into Lax from Dc next Saturday my flight for Hawaii doesn’t leave until 2:14 pm. When should I get tested based on the 72 hour time frame for departure. It’s quiet confusing😪
If your flight to Hawaii is Saturday at 2:14pm, you can take the test anytime starting Wednesday 2:14pm (I suggest going a bit later that Wednesday though so it's not too close to the 72-hr mark, just in case there are unexpected adjustments to the flight or something). Hope that helps!

I just looked to see if my state has the COVID testing that you went to and they don’t have any locations here so I am really nervous about getting our COVID test results back in time. We upload negative results , fill out the questionnaire ang got the QR code, but on the website, is saying verification in process,, im a little nervous because our flight leavea in 5 hrs, are we going to be ok? Does anybody knws? Or had the same issue? Help!! 🙃🥲
Hi! So I guess all you need to do is to bring a hard copy.
What if you have pending negative results upon boarding?
Hi! The negative result will have to be uploaded and you will still have to answer a questionnaire online before your flight so you really need the results before that.

I fly into Honolulu (which doesn’t require a test) on Friday. However, we will island hop to The Big Island (which requires a test) on Sunday from Honolulu.
Do you think it’s okay to take the covid test on Thursday since it’ll be 72 hours prior to arriving on The Big Island?
Hi! I didn't know that Honolulu doesn't need the test anymore. May I know where you got the info? I might have missed it. We flew into Honolulu last month and they needed the test. For the Island hop question, I suggest contacting Hawaii Travels directly. This site may help you-- ets.hawaii.gov/travelhelp/ 😊
@@ItsTrixTV I received it from the Hilton Waikiki hotel in Oahu and the Kingsland Hilton Grand Vacation club on The Big Island.
@@ItsTrixTV thank you
That's interesting because in the Hilton website, they still have this so you might want to double check with them just to be sure😊
'Guests arriving from out-of-state must show proof of a negative COVID test result taken with an approved lab within 72 hours of flying or go into quarantine until they are able to provide the negative result. Detailed information about the travel restrictions may be found at hawaiicovid19.com/travel/. Contact the hotel directly for more information. Thank you for understanding.'
hi , we are planning to go to Honolulu in August, may I ask you that did Honolulu ask you for a covid test after all? did you have to quarantine? ( i’m assuming you are there at this moment)
we’ll be fully vaccinated this month but not the 2 kids.
Thank you so much!
I’m going to Hawaii In May my flight leaves 10:50am to Hawaii should I get tested at 11:30am Sunday to make that 72 hours
Did you mean your flight was Wednesday at 10:50am? If it is, yes Sunday 11:30am or anytime after that is when you should get tested😊
@@ItsTrixTV yeah I’m sorry my flight is on Wednesday to Hawaii in May and thank you so much
How did you know when your negative covid test results were approved?!
Hi! So once you get your negative covid test results, you will have to upload it to the Hawaii Travel website, you will answer a health questionnaire within 24hrs of your flight (mentioned in video) and you will get a QR code in your Email, which you will show at the airport when you get to Hawaii😊
Thank you so much for this video and your response! I got my negative results today & uploaded them but no email with a qr code yet.
@@rrodriguez4747 You're welcome. I was actually just updating my reply to you cz I missed including the questionnaire part. So you still have to answer the questionnaire on the website (within 24hrs before the flight) and that's when you get the QR code😊 There's a quick guide in my video on how we answered ours. Hope that helps!
Yes, it helped a bunch! I have 1 more day until I can fill out the questionnaire. So again thank you so much because I've had so much anxiety about this. Lol
haha no worries! That's how we were too when we were processing our requirements. Glad it helped. Have a safe trip!:)
Do you need a real id or passport will work to travel
Hi! Passport is fine. I believe Real ID won't be required until Oct 2021😊
Dam that when I plan to go lol but I got time to get one thanks
lol! It might still change though but yeah, it's better to get it. I got mine and process was really quick.
@@ItsTrixTV one more ? Which island in Hawaii should I go to for my first time in Hawaii
I haven't visited the other islands yet but I really enjoyed Oahu😊
