    Finally, a van build that actually uses vapour barrier.

      Yes, the first one for me.

    • @scott0551
      @scott0551 Год назад +1

      I am not an expert, but I have seen a lot people say don’t use one in a van. You need to let the moisture be able to escape and the skin of the van is the vapor barrier.

    • @TerenceKaplan
      @TerenceKaplan Год назад

      @@scott0551 Vapour barrier goes on the warm side. It keeps the warm moist air inside (like, from cooking, breathing) from getting into the insulation, cooling and pooling. Black mould is not your friend.

    • @billyb6043
      @billyb6043 Год назад +1

      @@scott0551 biggest issue with most of the conversions I've seen on youtube, is failure to provide a proper thermal bridge between structural members/box sections. Vapour barrier will help if it's done properly. If it's chilly outside the exterior of the van will be much colder than the insulated interior. As you know, warm air expands and absorbs more water vapour (from breathing/cooking). This will condense on coolest surfaces. If structural box sections/roof spars etc. aren't well insulated internally, water droplets form and collect. The way that most commercial vans are designed, this will facilitate condensate working its way down the van walls (behind all that lovely insulation) and into the floor well (concealed under that lovely flooring) where it can't evaporate. To do a proper job (and prevent inevitable corrosion from the inside out), you need to vent the areas that are most likely to collect water, and properly insulate all box sections, ribs & spars internally with spay cork or similar. Look at some of the pro RV builders...they're doing forced air venting underfloors now, for year round cold climate touring. depends how far you want to go and how much you're prepaed to spend on the conversion. Spray cork looks interesting...

    Its a very amazing design for a motorcycle carriage. I would use most of this design in my build, only exception will be a washroom and a kitchen counter. I only need space for one bike.

      Hallo Harry und danke 😃 also mit dem Raptor ist alles noch super. Da der Lack nur etwas rauer ist brauchst du für die Pflege nur eine Bürste die keine Fusseln hinterlässt ansonsten alles gleich wie bei einem normalen Lack 😃👌
      Jawohl so machen wir das dann in Österreich und bis dahin Lg 😃

    Only thing sleeping with bikes in the van is the fumes from the petrol, I do it all the time with my racing and park and lock up the bikes outside whenever possible fumes can be unbearable, I'm looking at a small box trailer just for the bikes now
