- It took a while, but it's finally here. The most overkill, ridiculous raft design yet with all of the new Chapter 3 features (except the smelter, because it's pointless). Let me know what you think!

This looks fantastic
Please, could you share your raft using the "Raft Blueprint" mod ? This way, we can import it directly in a new (or not) world without having to craft everything from scratch ;)
Looks awesome !!!!!
@MagicMike Sorry to ruin your day but chapter three is the final chapter its literally the name
love it, WHO DAT!
You've outdone yourself Ali. Really enjoy your builds and admire (and envy!) your planning and creativity.
Thank you very much!
A small tip when using the pillar & triangles trick where you then delete the pillars: if you build them out of two half pillars, you get ALL your precious nails back.
idk what hes doing there can you ezplain it maybe or maybe help me pls im stuck there
I wanna see a tiny raft design that has everything you need but still has a boat shape
She did that a couple videos ago Lol.
@@Milwa1 oh I'll have to look through her video catalog
Same
@@Dudeman715 it was a starter raft without an engine if I remenber correctly...
For boat shape the smallest you can go for is 3 wide (to fit an engine in the "cargo hold"), but even that is rather too small and it gets real awkward to fit an anchor, eletric purifier, and paint mill in there while keeping it in a way you can acess everything.
I'm a fan of a 4 foundation wide raft by 10 long, makes it much easyer to fit everything comfortably. The deck and upwards is personal preference.
Still, the most "efficient" raft in my opinion is a 5x5 square with 33 wide line of collection nets that you build upwards as necessary.
@@guilhermelopes986 I know its some months ago u guys talked about this. But i try my best to get it smallest as possible. So far. its 7x7 + Tip. And I get everything on it. But again..3 floors >.<
But i really want everything and a cute small raft. But no idea how.
Just WOW! I only started playing last week and this build is insane to me! Well done!!!
It's a game truly worth investing your time into. Keep playing.
I saw this after I finished my first two levels now I want to start over again lol Thanks for the great designs
Thanks for making these videos. Your voice is very soothing and the content is great to listen to.
This looks so awesome and the effort it took is astounding. I really really love this "little" boat 😇
sad how there isnt much else to do after the story finished. i wish they could add side quests to make it more interesting
Wow! Excellent raft! Thanks for the step-by-step explanation of everything.
Hey just wanted to say love the videos I took ur middle sized raft and made it one foundation wider so the anker would be centered and am now converting it into this with my own spins on it 💙
As a returning player this is a challenge but also a really fun one, I live for the grind and I accept creating this
A cruise raft would also be neat, not a big one but a descent for survival
I really hope you make a simpler one, cause this is too cool:)
You can use detail plank to build underwater portion and turn the raft into a genuine ship, not that it matters functionally though.
omg this is just the video I was looking for!!! Thank you so much!
This is exactly what I wanted finally thank you!
i love your videos. They give me great inspiration for my builds. I would really like to see another, what i call a Treehouse build. Start with a wide platform and build up several stories so each level is for a different thing. An area for garden, animals, cooking, storage and the helm of the boat on the very top level. I think my starting platform was 8x8 on my build. But even a 10x12 or something like that would work. Thank you for what you do. You make me want to do youtube videos on my builds.
Giiiirrrlll that's amazing!!! Is it seagull approved? It looks like it. That took soooo long to make.. you made it so easy to understand each step. I loved it!! Thank you so much for this!!
I might use this on my next playthrough, right now I'm sailing on the Thousand Sunny from One Piece I found a video for.
Me and a friend are currently doing a hard playthrough, we just made it to the radio tower alive🤣 Can't wait to make this for End Game.
I think I will reverse engineer this, looks really good I think one of the best steam boat I've seen in Raft and I love the New Orleans theme the only thing that is missing is a street band playing "When The Saints Go Marching In"
she shows how to build it :) reverse engeneering unnecissary
This will definitely be worth the wait
"Love that for us"
-Ali
I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, Hold On.
Fantastic work as always
Very nice. Would love to see a design for a mega size ultra luxury yacht. Like the Vasagatan but not quite that big.
All I can say, it just "Wow". Nice build.
have you thought of doing a small but super tall build? ive been playing with 3x4's and whatnot and they can get pretty interesting, would love to see your take on it!
YES :-)
Great build that I had to try myself. Had to skip the detailed plank on the walls because I couldn't get them to lie flat against the walls. Would luv to see a video on ways to use the detailed planks
Day 30 of telling Ali we appreciate them and their content! :)
Big fan of the end game rafts concept. But I have some smart solutions I think you would appreciate.
Your videos are so underrated...KEEP IT UP!!! :D
Agreed! But at least they're growing fast
This is kind of what I was looking for :) How did you get the Nose and side walls to connect? I've been trying to figure it out, but I'm having a hard time
Not gonna lie this is amazing I'd love to see a pirate ship done on this scale
Wow amazing build! Do the overkill version of the pirate ship now!
A friend and I copied a nuclear icebreaker as our ship, so pleased to see the arctic biome in the last patch
14,000 planks. Jesus
Damn it! You're awesome build makes me ashamed of my inferior blob of crap that's indistinguishable from the trash in the ocean. Now I have to start over. It never occurred to me to put the engines in like that. I love it!
EXCELLENT!
Next we need the titanic… minus the whole sinking part obviously.
With the introduction of ceiling beams, you don't have to use the triangle floating floor exploit, plus it may reduce total object instances compared to floating triangles resulting in somewhat higher performance for limited systems.
~6:30 - I don't put storage directly behind doors like this because the door object always obstructs the storage container in the z-field of the selection, often even pressing up to the storage containers doesn't pass the door's selection box.
~9:20 Similarly, I've tried putting signs in front of storage areas like this but I always end up selecting the sign instead of the storage when trying to use it. If there's extra space, I'd bring the sign out perpendicular to the storage, or if using 1.5 high rooms, put the sign above or below the 1 high storage so it doesn't block or interrupt me when I'm going in.
Alidooove, please make a base design video of one of your videos on "types of raft builders" the hoarder specifically i wanna know every single detail about that raft ples
I'll see if I can replicate it lmao. That file is long since extinct
That's a whole lotta planks!
the amount material this is going to take is insane. I don't think it's worth it, but this thing looks AMAZING.
Love your build ❤️
This build is essentially “Oh has god granted you a lifetime supply of planks? Then this build is for you!”
Amazing great work 💪
great design, but it would be cool to show a design progression from start to end game, as I imagine building such a raft would require design "stages" if you will, considering the huge amount of resources it would take to build directly
I'm currently mid-game and have built the bottom layer so far. It's just a lot of grinding for resources. Mainly planks. Just adapt it to what you need/can do right now and then as the story progresses and you get more blueprints then update them like you would on any raft. That's how I'm playing it. My brother wanted a huge ship like this so we chose to take on this challenge - and boy has it been a lot of work but we're having fun nonetheless.
Happy rafting!
It looks good asf am doing it in my survival
very cool build
Awesome work, awesome video!
2:46 i couldn't build the roof in the front and the back of the ship can someone please tell me what to do and thanks.
yes same problem
Thanks!
One question. What did you put in that hut like area on the top deck. I see you put a sail behind it. But I never saw you put anything in there. Is it just empty? What was it supposed to be for?
Very creative
Dis insane
good video, me and my friend made this and decorated in 50h, survival
It's really lovely and has ample opportunity to go nuts with excessive decorations, rip framerate.🤭
Hey Ali, I like your designs and Ideas but why do you not cope out all the base foundations and start 1 half wall higher up. Like that u only need the Engines on the main floor and some Nets.
The rest of the Raft can be stacked up and you safe around 250-300 Foundations that need to be supplied by engines. That would be VERY efficient. Like a catamaran.
Mostly for aesthetic reasons, friend. People watch this kind of tutorial to build something that looks nice in addition to being functional, which usually means a slightly less efficient design. Plus the windmills actually need to be at 3 walls tall to be the most efficient, and I've gotten several requests for a multi-person raft. Those factors combined makes builds like this a bit weird if you're more efficiency focused!
@@Alidove_ Yeah but at the end you can hide the water line Deck underneath an half wall elevated Deck to spare all those Foundations :D it also saves a lot of resources i guess. Especially Plastic.
bro this makes me feel so bad about my raft rn lmao
I think those animal pens start 3 squares behind the stairs, not 4. found out the hard way. XD
Figured this too. Makes sense when you look at 2:41 and count the units between the fences and wall in the background.
Great videos, glad I fouind you. New subscriber. Have a great weekend.
U forgot to add draw bridges on each side
I cant get the pipes to connect trough the floor from front bottom to first floor. Is there anything im missing?
Is that specific floor square made with a whole square or triangles? It'll pass through the triangles but not a full square sadly
@@Alidove_ triangles. I tried filling in after pipe and the other way around. No matter on wich order I place stuff. The pipe won't go trough the floor
Interesting. Perhaps try removing the pipes, filling in the triangle, then going bottom to top with pipes? It should work normally
@@Alidove_ that's how I tried it first. Havent tried from top to bottom. But yea, not sure.
Edit: Yup thats what worked for me... so first floor sprinkler and one pipe away... Then going down and place the pipe there connected it trough the floor.
Thank you for the idea on how to build , i couldnt figure out what i wanted build i just couldent think ,after finishing the first floor i decided to go with my idea it opened the block i had and after i just couldnt stop building i spend 4 h on one level to decorate it and make ich mechanicly functional i hope that gives you a idea on how upgraded it is , still tho like 50% of the building walls are followed by your video
Diagonal walls can hold 8 mid storage crates on 1 side
hey, I love your boat building and have tried to make your chapter three (The overkill raft) but when I want to put in the set no. 4 engine, it just lights up red and I can't be allowed to put it :-) do you have an idea why do and why I didn't set it 😭
one question when fortifying the base, do you only have to do the outer part or all of it, so bruce won't attack and destroy the raft??
Yes, only the edges need to be fortified to stop Bruce attacking the raft. Really the only reason to fortify all your foundations is for aesthetics. Functionally though its only the outer that is important.
I could not understand. In the scene with the beehives, I see the roof, but I don't see the poles that are supposed to hold the roof.
How did you get that pipe to go through the floor? I can’t figure it out.
My engine hat section has some extra space behind the last engine and I cant figure out if I somehow made the area too big. I counted the squares in the video and it lined up with what I have lol. Im just going to finish the build in hopes that im not crazy and that space is supposed to be there
You could fill it in with an extra roof piece on either side to kind of round it out, just in case
There's this one anime I can't remember the name but I remember the environment basically the world is flooded Pearl ice caps melted everyone lives on rusted boat cities where each boat is interlocked with cables it's really cool and I want to see something like that
Awesome. Thanks :)
I Can imagine how Long this took you considering that it took 7 hours just to follow the tutorial
Hi! I am new to raft modding and I have a question. I have started unmodded playthrough with my friend but wanted I to start my own modded world at the same time. Is it possible?
Yep, you can have as many active worlds as you want. If you want to load a modded world, just make sure to do it through the mod launcher. For vanilla games, just launch normally on steam!
@@Alidove_ thanks
do you have a video where you show how to build the engine hat part cause i dont get it please thanks
Nice work. Can you have more clear full video for this build?
Finaly
i m not able to cover roof in the base in front there are 6 place that i am not able to cover the roof
very cool!
How do you place the string lights diagonally ?
man you should see the monstrosity im building, starting to look at videos now im getting close to the end!
Just WOW!
i currently beat the game in less thaen two days so im struggling to get materials to make all the new stuff lol
The Raftanic
ps: how do you enter your boat if falling out?
5:15 how do u put these detail planks so perfectly i dont understand how they work
Did you put this on Nexus?
Great build, im gonna build something like it with my own adjustments, there is one things is driving me mad, the build around the engines i can't close it no matter what i do v.v specifically in the left side of the engine, i can't place a corner there v.v
If i have this build
How do i deal with Bruce?
can someone help me on how to fly during creative mode if there is? thanks
You can press "N" to enter a no clip mode, which allows you to fly!
@@Alidove_ thank u very muuuch! Love the contents btw, really helpful
how tall can the raft be?
Technically as high as your PC can handle. There isn't actually a hard build limit
will the bee and animals get drowned?
Please can you tell me how many and which materials u need to craft the whole thing ?
Check the description, friend!
my bad sorry. got it
I know its been 10 months but, can we get a world download?
wow!
I’m struggling to find the description help 😭😭
Why is it that almost every build i see always forgets the anchor i mean dont get me wrong the boat is dope asf but how will i stop
There is an anchor. It's the new electric one and it's inside the main floor. You must have missed that part of the video at the beginning.
Why do you need so much stuff end game? I would just call it a river boat build. End game you need one of everything and as compact as you can for 1 engines. I sometimes have 2 engines, but one is not connected to the bio-fuel as I always do under 100 squares. Then the second engine can be fueled with wood or I can have a pipe I add (or remove) if I want to go a little faster (2.5 instead of 2). Usually I just do 1 engine. Then it is all about decorating. I did do a pirate ship one time and do to the tapered hull on the front and sides I had only about 50 foundations but I had no nets. I did do 2 engines and 6 sails. I tried the voyager mod just to see how fast it ran. It was pretty fast... maybe 6.
I want to see a DLC for this game that adds maybe 4-6 islands and some new things like a triangle sail that will go faster. An advanced engine with a prop instead of paddle wheels. Maybe an electric cook pot. then some functional decorations like sink, toilet, shower... maybe a dresser with a bit more storage. Maybe some neon signs/lights...
6 engines for end game :), plus i wouldnt call this end game as storage was pretty small and it was also trying to make it look cool. End game doesnt have to be compact it just has to be maxed out.
