    Hi Rhonda, this is a fantastic tutorial. Can I please ask a few questions? As you ran out of wax to fill the full 12 moulds, what amount of wax should we use to fill all 12 moulds? Also, those plastic jugs you use to pour the wax, are they special jugs or would any type of plastic jugs be ok to use? I'm so glad I found your channel, you are so helpful 🙂

      Hi lovely. The jugs are candle jugs as that way they can take the heat. I brought mine from pure candle supplies. The moulds are 50 grams each so for the set of 6 I now use 310 grams and the reason for the extra is sometimes the wax gets stuck on the jug

    Hi Rhonda, i love your channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all. I have a question about 494. Is there any tricks into stopping or drastically minimising the frost on this wax when using liquid dye? I have tried temps you and everyone else has reccomended down to 60 deg min pouring in clamshells. No matter what i do, they still frost. Is there a particular secret? Exp in winter?

      Honestly no . I now am trialling m12 as I’m sick of the natural wax issues

      @NelsonInteriorSoapery oh this makes me so happy that even you have the same problem with this wax. I have tried and tested nearly a whole 5kg bag of 494 so I am so done with it lol. Even though the frost does not effect the end product, i feel in order to sell more, it needs to look more appealing than what I am getting. Thanks again. I appreciate everything you put on your channel. Xx

      @@NelsonInteriorSoapery @user-tz3pq9nf9y I have found 80% 494 and 20% A27 not to frost, I have tested by keeping wax melts for 3 months and still no frosting on them. I used mica in them too and they're still perfect.

    12:31, hello. Thanks for sharing. I have recently started using GW 494. My questions are; Do you add your Fragrance in as soon as it has melted to 75°Celsius. Also, is it OK to pour at 55°Celsius

    hello, 450 g of melted wax or 450g before you melt it? does it make a difference?

  • @blossomgumsoapery
    @blossomgumsoapery 2 года назад

    When you say 75 degrees melt, does that mean that we shouldn’t go higher as it would burn or is it that this type of wax it melts best at 75 degrees? And other wax ie Coconut Soy wax melts at 70 degrees? Is that it?
    Also, have you ever used a wax / essential oil calculator that you finds good based on the volume of the container you are using?

    • @NelsonInteriorSoapery
      @NelsonInteriorSoapery  2 года назад +1

      Hey chrissie. When you talk about essential oils in melts and candles you need to be careful as some can be dangerous to animals when burning candles so I use approved candle fragrances and oils. The 70 is basically from the manufactures recommendation and different waxes will differ but as a rule for the wax and fragrance to bind you need it to get to a certain temp

    • @blossomgumsoapery
      @blossomgumsoapery 2 года назад

      Thanks Rhonda and a really good point. I’ll have to be careful with that.
      I’ll look at more info about temperatures to melt wax as I bought some plain soy wax a while ago and can’t remember the wax melt temperature 🤪 I’ll have to write on the bag I think. Love watching you make Barry’s Daughter wax melts ☺️xo
