That bracelet is amazing, and so creative, yet reasonably easy for a kid to follow, I loved Blue Peter crafting because it was ingenious and fun, and so much thought had gone into dreaming these up. An earlier episode of Blue Peter showed how to make the Liberator bracelets. I heard a rumour (and I hope it’s true) that a lot of the original props got lost or damaged so the props department made some Blue Peter ones which were used on screen as they needed something cheap and fast.
It's finally time for Blue Peter to teach me how to make an Orac Cube power PC gaming rig with all the lights and an A.I. voice which gives you witty repartee.
Doesn't matter that I'm in my 50's. Doesn't matter that Halloween has passed. I've been inspired to make a Blakes 7 teleport bracelet _and_ I'm gonna wear it! 😊 I've got a lot of crafting materials so I'll upgrade it a bit. I must say I was somewhat offended at the bbc showing the woman making things. Must it always be a women doing crafts? Women are useful for other things and can have careers too. Also, I object to the silly music at the end of these clips. It’s as if the bbc is trying to “joke off” these sexist clips with music, as if to imply they were just being silly and weren’t sexist really. This is my feedback.

Self-sticking material? I guess velcro had not become a genericized trademark yet forty years ago.
BBC at the time had to be careful about not using registered trademarks, as it could be seen as advertising.
Velco is a trade name and it would have been advertising - so they were not allowed to use it as a public service broadcaster.
