I trully believe we all Revit users should be highly grateful for this add-on Ehsan has created, things that Autodesk should have implemented in Revit, but for some reason they haven't. A big THANK YOU from a structural technician in London UK.
Thanks Guys for making our life easier, wonderful session would love to get more insight into the overall development workflow. A big Thanks from a BIM Engineer deployed in Middle East.
Thank you guys for a most interesting video on PyRevit. I've watched this video more than once and have installed PyRevit very recently and look forwards to using it. Like Ehsan I am an architect. I taught myself programming in BASIC language and created programs I used in my work in the past. I have too many interests to allow me to take the next step up, music being one, into Python although I did flirt with Python more recently but did not follow it to a useful conclusion; may go back to it, you never know!!
Thank you, pyRivit is a great tool. Question: The (work flow) sequence of operation for Match [Override] is not the same as Match Properties when selecting parameters. There is no option button for match properties to save the parameter selections. So each time use the tool you must reapply the property selection. The shift pick only using the previous "values" and not the parameter selection of a new element that has a fdifferent set of values. Is there another way to set the property selection for repeat use so that the tool can be used more productively? A simple example is if I want to copy over the comments from one family to another. (From a door to a wall) Then repeat the operation for a second set of families (from a different door and wall). This is how the Match override works.
@@TheRevitKid It sort of is addressed, (using the Alt key to jumping to the script in the folder.) But I have learned how to use python to create scripts yet. This is one of my goals this coming year.
Hello Jeff and Ehsan! I have a question. When will a stable/official release of PyRevit be available with BIM 360 support for Keynoting as shown in the video?
Long time fan of pyRevit and recently started my own firm using Revit LT. Since LT doesn’t support add ins is there’s another way to get these amazing tools with Revit LT? Trying to keep costs down as I launch my firm, but keep efficiency.
Hi, great video! Around 1:02:30 Ehsan mentions that he was going to be doing some pyRevit workshops. Did these ever happen? And are they publicly available somewhere? Thanks
Hey Jeff, My coworker said you may have done a video on view filters with PyREvit. I.e.; bulk adding view filters to view templates and or views. Does this ring a bell?
Hmmm... I don't think so specifically... PyRevit can do this for sure... DiRoots has a tool that I think can do this as well... Maybe it was a video about that?
Love the bimbox. I have one! Do you recommend a docking station for the mobile Stryker bimbox laptop? One that can possibly charge them as well! That’s in advance :)
Is there any way I can link a preflight check to my starter page in revit so upon opening a model, it automatically runs and sends the results to my starter page? Or even just revit warnings? This way the user is forced to look at warnings every time they open the model. Also, is it possible to link to a pdf manual from this starter page? Thanks, you really got me motivated to work on the department template.
Cad blocks have an option to add stretch which allows you to just drag block components. Is there an equivalent in revit? Anything which allows to manually drag one family component (like an additional movable truss) from project level?
@@TheRevitKid hi, your voice is OK. Just don't let the guests voice have higher level than yours or the opposite . You can ask them to decrease their volume. For bed RUclips watchers like me this is a challenge to set whole time the volume not to disturb others sleeping. Regards

I couldn't agree more!
I clearly don't make enough use of pyRevit, but I am eternally grateful to Ehsan for the pattern maker alone.
Agreed!
wow how wonderful to see and hear from the creator of the fantastic PyRevit. Thank you Ehsan for these marvellous tools.
Awesome video!
Thanks Ehsan for this extraordinary work. And thanks to you Jeff for setting up this episode.
Cheers!
I've seen Ehsan's prez about 5x now and seeing it AND his Notion setup never gets old

QUESTION - is there a spell check option while adding keynotes within pyrevit?
Awesome video!!
Glad you enjoyed it

How to change sheets order/ rearrange while making a combined single pdf in pyrevit
Long time fan of pyRevit and recently started my own firm using Revit LT. Since LT doesn’t support add ins is there’s another way to get these amazing tools with Revit LT? Trying to keep costs down as I launch my firm, but keep efficiency.
Unfortunately, no. Autodesk has removed quite a few very valuable tools to make Revit “LT” … the use of plugins being one.
i have to say i use pyrevit every single day of my work since 1.5 years ago and rules!

Do the memory option create problems while using it on a collaborated model

No, I just have extra power supplies and a usb hub at my station. Super easy. It’s like 3 plugs. No big deal lol
FANTASTIC! Thanks
Amazing!! Thnx for sharing
What version/extension is the pre-flight checker part of? i cannot see it on my PyRevit tab. . .
Amazing!
when I create a pattern that uses hidden or dashed lines, the pattern changes to solid when creating the filled region. Why?
I am sure Ehsan will be able to help... Reach out to him directly, he probably isn't following these comments.

HI, RevitKid, thanks for all. Q: PyRevit translate for other languages? (I'm in Brasil = Portuguese)
love it !

Why the Make Pattern option does not work in revit 2022?
It works for me!!
@@TheRevitKid Nice, I was wrong, first you have to select the pattern..
Then apply Make patern

Yes and yes...Parametric families are similar to CAD blocks but way more powerful.

Thank you so much 😀
Pyrevit is ready for 2023.?
There is a beta version out in GitHub!
Awesome

Please compare your sound with others. You have to buy a better mic. Your voice is too treble.
Not sure who’s mic you are referring to but it sounds alright to me for a livestream where I have no control over the guests audio ;)
