The Squarespace segues with Jess are quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of your videos, but I mean everything is awesome.
As both a fan of the high quality craftmanship (and high quality work in general) and a web developer I absolutely despise Squarespace and what they're doing to the market I'm in, because Squarespace is not much better than the work you'd get from hiring some web development firm from India. But I accept it because I love Scott. Really wish he'd find sponsors that are less destructive, though.
agreed! and this one actually caught me off guard LOL loved it even more
@@daylen577 just skip it, i skip all squarespace advertisments!.
Wellington library is one of 120 buildings in the NZ capital that have dangerous hollow core concrete floors, and NZ engineers say the floors could pancake in a strong earthquake.
Everything is cool when you’re part of a team
I first saw him as a fanboy. Now the thing I love about Gaston is his love of the craft. The older we get in our trades the longer we think about the best way to do the new thing or even a basic thing. Gaston is like that... plus he could sell barnacles to a boat.
Could sell barnacles to a boat....love it...yet sooooo true...love Gaston and his devotion to tools and equipment he sells...and his knowledge is second to none...always great to see him on the channel.
Cheers from Aus!!!!
Love this comment, J D!
@@tippo5341 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
After checking out Gaston’s website and buying a few things from him, he is a legend. Always love seeing him on SBC.
That T-shirt is cool
I can totally see this channel turning into 50% cool projects, 50% playtime with Gaston. A way for him to get a presence on RUclips and some of the best content of your channel at the same time.
I'm tellin' you, the "Scott and Gaston Hour of Power" is the show we _need_ !
Tool Talk with Scott and Gaston, a podcast? I'd tune in
And perhaps a Coffee segment ☕😉
I literally watched two grown men make 144 holes in a table and it was enjoyable...
Scott, your knack of making interesting content is impressive.
Fantastic production., great B roll, the great videography. the music choice takes your channel to the next level.
Two thumbs up!
Loving it.
Scott Brown Carpentry, quite possibly the best video's on RUclips
The quality of these videos just keeps getting better and better. The way this one finishes, with the scenic shot over the valley and perfectly suited music, takes it to another level. Well done Scott and Jess!
I can tell Jess is in awe of you mate. You's buying a new house and all, and now that you're getting ready to renovate it's not hard to see she's in love. Put a ring on it mate, if you haven't already
I love how Gaston always has the most beautiful immaculate tools but still uses electrical tape to wrap his cuts like the rest of us.
Imagine if Festool sold a first aid kit, in a Systainer.
there's this unspoken sense of vulnerability in all of your videos, that just keeps me coming back. Please keep posting. I look forward to watching your videos every week.
Vulnerable?
Nah. They're just super chill.
Vulnerability is maybe the wrong word. I would more-so call it an unspoken sincerity.
@@neruneri
Perfect.👍
@@neruneri call it what you want :)
I want to build three different sheds, one is already set up. I am pleased to find all the ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 plans and designs for the three sheds included in Ryan's shed plans And how very easy they all are to set up following the detailed instructions on the manual and DVDs. This is simply fantastic!
Great video and I look forward to more. Congratulations on 2yr anniversary Jess, it's nice to see more of you in the videos.
Another great episode. So well put together. It’s a staple of my week.
Congratulations on the 2nd anniversary Jess and great work overall guys. I look forward to each new episode and the variety of things you're doing around the house and explanations. Not long before the cold weather starts for you both and the winter woollies come out. From the hot, humid north across the ditch, best wishes.
Love seeing more of the two of you in these videos - you both seem to have a lot of fun doing this even if it is lots of work. You should both be very proud of what you have created!
Great to see Gaston return, love the t-shirt
I love this guy, especially how he presents all the tools.
These are such cool videos!!! Keep it up Scott and Jess.
It’s amazing how far you both have come. So creative and entertaining
I am going to love watching you use your new bench. And yes, I do know how its used. So envious of your workshop.
To date the best Squarespace ad you and Jess have done. Love that bit. Great content keep up the amazing videos
Oh My GAD!!!!! Loved the "SQUARE?" transition to the sponsor spot!!! That is spot on, classic Scott Brown carpentry.
Do enjoy your Segways into Square Space. Thanks for another exciting episode Scott.
the add conversion was great, fan of your channel and already some merchandise, alwayq great to see Gaston!
Very nice work as always, absolutley loved the outro. Keep up the good work!!
Oh wow, Gaston is totally amazing! What a great video. I discovered your channel at the end of 2021 and absolutely love it. Greetinx from Germany, Dave
Absolutely love this router, my favorite new tool release in 2021.
That was poetry in motion!Great to see Gaston back.Top show once again.Kia Kaha you two!
For what it's worth, I'm so proud of you two as well. Keep up the good work! Oh and make sure Gaston signs a waiver next time!
Cracking video Scott
Squarespace transitions are brilliant.
Keep em coming Scott
You guys are adorable. The ending of this video made me 'awwww' out loud. Happy two year anniversary Jess ☺️
Once again an interesting video with some great photographic shots. I love the ending.. Jess & Scott you are a good team. Well done for two years in the business, Jess!❤️😎PS: I look forward to your explanation Scott of your work bench.
Really enjoying the Nelson episodes. We have a weatherboard house of a similar age to your house and are keen to see how you renovate it before we start.
I love how excited Gaston gets about tools, it makes me and my obsession feel normal! The appreciation a well thought out and well made tool deserves is a great thing to see, it's easy to forget some of these jigs and rail squares etc started as someone's passion for their craft.
The hikoki router seems to get universally good reviews from actual day to day users, it's great to see as it's corded predecessor was a massively underrated tool. Can't wait to see what all those systainers were about! And even more excited to see what you guys do with the house! I'm getting seriously envious of NZ and your timber framed houses, as a builder with a joinery background in the UK I despise having to deal with brickwork so much! Great content as always Scott and Jess
Brilliant episode Scott, I love tool time, just kitted myself out with new festool table with the track and saw for upcoming projects I have when I do my staircase conversions, cupboards and draws will be so much easier to make I cant wait to give it it's first run out soon.
Don’t ever stop making videos, our content is just really awesome. So genuine, fun and entertaining ! Cheers
Gaston is a life saver, with a simple router jig and adjustable dog. you guys finish all the holes in no time. south island is a beautiful place, I wish I did more traveling when I was in NZ.
Great music. I just had a tough day at work and the music is calming.
You two are lovely. Thanks for allowing me to be entertained by your lives. Cheers from Canada. ~ulrich
Not gonna lie your videos are just so different from people I watch in the US, I love it.
Keep up the great work!
Nice ad segue. Well done Jess and Scott :)
Congradulation to both of you for these amazing video! From Canada🙂
You two seq-way into square space commercials like masters. Nicely done :-) You are a great team.
Really nice with really nice people . Just love your play dates with Gaston 👌. God bless
Hello guys from Belgium 🇧🇪
Awesome vidéo !! It’s kind of an achievement for the team !!! “Make what make us Happy” isn’t it! 😌😄😉
Happy for you . You deserve it
Can’t wait to see the nexts videos
Lol I love your segues! And I love how Jess is getting involved with them too! Your guy's are great!
We love Gaston! I would kill to have his job too. 😂 Keep up the good work Scott and Jess! Love the videos. 👍🏼
I just love you two! Great video and yes I would like one of those jigs for setting up dog holes, pretty cool! Oh, by the way Jess needs a raise! Always great videos and love the interaction! You both are GREAT!
I just love Scott, Jess and Gaston, they're funny and lovely in all the basic senses of those two words. :-)
Very refreshing when Jess makes an appearance. Good video Scott and good luck to you both from Tynemouth, England.
You guys are so nice together. While I started out hoovering in carpentry stuff, I'm now happy taking in everyday Scott and Jess stuff. Looking forward to episodes including the weekly food shopping and meet the neighbours.
@scott brown Carpentry
Happy 2 Year Anniversary Jess, glad you’re apart of the Team and love seeing you and Scott together.
Cheers✌🏻
well done jess and i love the calming feel of your videos. oh and as a side note , after months of waiting for one to come up on uk ebay, I just got a daluge titanium hammer just like scots, and scott, i agree with you the wooden handle dallude beats the all metal hammers. thanks you two for all the pleasant minutes
That was a great visit with Gaston. I also like the way Jess asked you a question in which your answer lead to a shameless plug for Squarespace, but i think that could be a routine thing, because the questions Jess may pose are likely questions others are thinking of.
And this episode is exactly why I tune in. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
13:23-13:25 made me lol literally 😂 🤣. Smooth Jess very smooth. Love to see the big G I'm not even a joiner (plumber) and I think I need a work bench like that. Can't wait for the renovations best channel on RUclips thanks guys
Not sure wot I enjoy more watching in this channel the carpentry or the pure gold production moments.
I love your videos Scott, always informative, make me laugh and smile. But Jess and the way she creatively brings up Square Space is fantastic. You both are naturals.
Fluid viscous dampers, or seismic dampers as they are sometimes referred to, are hydraulic devices that, when stroked, dissipate the energy placed on a structure by seismic events, wind buffering or thermal motion.
What a lovely pair! Love you guys!
Great vid. Gaston is a champ. Really enjoying your interaction with Jess. Including her in the sponsorship spot is brill. 🙏🏼🙏🏼👍
its nice seeing friends work together :) you guys have a true bromance lol
That ad pivot was golden. National television level quality.
So nice to see Gaston again!
It is always great to see Gaston.
It’s a testament to what a great guy you are to move closer to Gaston to make his work easier.
Man this going to be an awesome series Scott And jess, thanx for letting me be a part of your journey. #1love.
I"m loving the transitions to the sponsored content lately, gave me a good laugh today. Hope you can start on the house soon!
Honestly the only videos i look forward into the adverts in XD intro's to them are always amazing
So lovely! Thank you Scott!
So nice to see you two in the end getting along. A lot of times it ain't so nice as we - watchers get to see in those yt videos. Enjoy ur life!
great jump into Squarespace. I did not see that one coming. thanks
I have similar system from Sauter (Germany), you'll never get square enough. CNC or UJK Parf Guide are the solutions for a MFT style table.
Awesome you Scott and Jess.
Love Gaston! Cheers mate!
Love it! what a great team you guys make!!!
As soon as Jess said "square" I was like "YYYYESSS here it comes" so good
It is enjoyable to watch as it also explains a lot of things I look forward to the new episodes as you don’t know what Scott is going to cover as he doesn’t just cover one thing in the building industry
Really lovely vibe to the whole video- thank you :)
Congratulations to both of use. Job well done scott. Next up is wedding or baby. 🙌🤙
Great stuff Scott, enjoy the content!
Congratulations on 2 years full time working on the channel Jess. Scott's a lucky man. That's Tickety-Boo
The router bit size is the most important part of the built of a MFT top. I got a 20mm bit ground down to 19.85 which gives 20mm holes, due to wobble etc.
Dogs all vary by fractions of a mm too cross brand. Some are hard to remove others easy
Looks good though Scott
Good people attract good people. Nice to see you again Gaston.
You and Jess are awesome together. Here's to many more years of "Scott Brown here!"
Past probation deserves a pay rise. 👏 Well done Jess and Scott cracking team!
Gaston AND Scott's super slick Squarespace segue?! You're spoiling us
The transitions Jess and you do for ads get me every time. Then I feel obliged to listen to the ad lol.
Gaston is a champ. Spends a day to bring you new stuff and stays to help.
Gaston used to drive 14 hrs to visit Scott when Scott lived in Auckland, but Gaston actually lives in Nelson. He is virtually Scott’s next door neighbour now Scott lives in Nelson too.
Congrats Jess. Cheers Scott & Gaston. 🤘🏾Hikoki 🤙🏾🖤's
Seeing just how close Gaston is to your new place, it would be great to have more content with Gaston - it is good to keep up with new tools as they are released. Perhaps monthly?
If you're editing in DaVinci Resolve, consider buying a speed editor (the little keyboard with a wheel). They're pretty cheap and make rough cutting a ton of footage very fast. Also, the color managed workflow in Resolve would get your clips most of the way to the finished look the moment you import them, especially with multiple cameras.
Sounds like you need to sponsor him lol
Hey mate, been watching you for time, love every single episode.
Its good seeing Jess in the vids more often now also. how long until she starts her apprenticeship haha :p
Remember and read those manuals Scott!
Love the channel form one scot to another jess makes your channel. You to keep the videos coming very entertaining
Teared up at the end there. Nice work folks.
Oh dear god! I found myself actually anticipating Jess’s sly segue into a commercial break - instead of watching Scott. She is goood…
Gaston is pretty cool. I got my dust mask from there based on your reccomendation. I also bought a hultafors axe from them a few years ago.
I’d be so tempted to keep that bench for show 😂 work of art man
Brilliant intro for square space 🏴🏴🏴
I'm proud of you too Scott and Jess.
Not an observation on this episode but one on the journey you and Jess have undertaken to provide all your viewers with a unique perspective on a New Zealand carpenter's life. I don't watch commercial television anymore but prefer channels like yours and Perkins Builders Brothers because I enjoy watching building construction. More importantly, it's how you approach what you do. Thank you for all those hours of editing. It shows in the final program.
