This is perfection. There are only 4 people that have been able to carry off this song, Dionne Warwick, Cilla Black, and Barbra. I would have to say that listening to this recording, it's the best of the best. Regretfully, I never knew he recorded it until today.

Oh how I've been waiting for this beautiful song! The album that you have mentioned "Johnny sings Bacharach" is my very favorite album, my mom played it everyday and what priceless memories I have listening to all those songs. Since then, she and I have searched high and low for that album from ebay to garage sales and everywhere in between.
This is probably one of the more difficult Bacharach Ballads to master Mr. Mathis makes it sound like spreading butter on bread this is also Mr. Bacharachs favorite child of his songs couldn't find better handling than from the incredible Mr. Mathis thanks for posting
