I have liked Johnny 51 years since I was 15 years old. No one is better, and no one is even close to his talent. Wish they made music 1/10 as good as it was back then. Instead of the garbage they have been at least this past 30 years if not a bit more.
Yes I do he gets me through my life I am 76 loved him since I was 17 glad to know someone else feels the same he so beautiful an his voice is heavenly even now he is 85 hope he goes on and keeps safe
This man has had a part of my heart for forever. I not only love to listen to him, I love looking at him. He is so very wonderful. No one can sing and make me cry like Johnny can. I love you Johnny Mathis. Thank you for giving me years of wonderful music.
You have taken every word out of my mouth. I just didn't know how to put it in words. My husband and I have been to many of this concerts and I cry after every one of his songs and I can't take my eyes off of him.
There will never ever be another Johnny Mathis. The emotion he puts into his songs, is just not to be believed. When he sings, it brings out all your emotions, and then you look at that beautiful man and wonder...........how is this possible. He makes it seems so easy, a voice of velvet. It will live on and on and on.
I hate it when the singers of today say they were inspired by singers from the past like Johnny. What an insult, because like you said music is 99% trash today.

I have heard this song since 1975, traveling with my family in a Ford galaxy... Album SONG SONG BLUE... 1973... STEREO ( !! ) GREAT SINGER !! I COULD NEVER FORGET !! Now I have this album, and hear with my wife and daughter... I live in Brazil... One day I will go to USA just for see a J. M. show... Thanks a lot...
Rosalie Cory oh my gosh... As I was reading your post, I was remembering my mom and crying. She used to play this record and slow dance with my dad... singing along with Johnny. Her name was ROSALIE.😢😢😢♥️♥️♥️
This is one of my all-time favorite songs. The music is fantastic, and the lyrics are wonderful, even though they are heartbreaking. The first time I heard it was probably not very long after it came out (probably in my teens). (Yes, I'm that old.) The first version I remember was sung by Lou Rawls, and the second version I heard was by the Walker Brothers. They are both wonderful; but when I heard this version by Johnny Mathis, it became my favorite. I can listen to it over and over and over.
WOW - how did I get this far in life and not get more of this guy's brilliance! Blown away! He makes it so smooth + song flows so effortlessly => flawlessness + pure genius!
This song has captured me,once more,Lenore.I needed this this morning to help me deal with this catastrophic world and its current events.Johnny soothes my anxieties at times.I thank you once more.
When Johnny was a young star, the world was so smooth, so pleasant, so nice to be a part of. It's enough to make you sob to think how it's become today. No one feels safe. No one feels secure. Life in America is not nice to be a part of. Johnny did his best, and we adored him for it. So easy to listen to. So soothing. And yes, so romantic.
Love this song. This is a difficult song to sing. Johnny Mathis is excellent. This arrangement at the end with all the different cord changes is great. Thanks for sharing this. I'm going to listen to it for the fourth time right now.
When Johnny sings he is the music. You can see it in his face and that's how I hear music. I love his music. I grew up listening to him all over our house!
I hope you come to the U.S. and see Johnny- these are the good years to do so- he's still going strong. Great album- and I do love this song- as it seems so many do. enjoy.
Such a great melody by Burt Bacharach and very great lyrics by the late Hal David. Johnny Mathis makes this song very emotional too. Well done orchestrated
When I was a dj at KDOK in the 70's, I used to play this song sometimes, even though my pd asked me not to, since it was a little off format, but it was such a strong song, and I never tired of it, so played it anyway. Still my fave JM song of all, even though there have been other versions, easily the best.
Magnificent. With that said, the Ice Man gets the Blue Ribbon. Jerry Vale did a good job.. Johnny Mathis is, without a doubt, one of our best singers of all time. I love Wonderful, Wonderful.
JOHNNY HAS ONE OF THE TRUEST AND BLESSED VOICES IN THE WORLD IF YOU JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LISTEN HOW HIS VIBRATO EASES INTO EVERY SCALE WITHOUT MISSING A NOTE!!👼
The latest interview of Johnny, he became sentimental, almost in tears I believe when he was mentioning his mom and dad. Even the interviewer was almost in tears. I feel like that too when I remember friends and events, I go sentimental. Johnny didn't have much activities but singing, concerts, travels, golf and cooking, but it seems like his life was so full and he was happy and content.
Sorry this reminds you of something sad. Music creates many feelings within us- . .. Thanks for your nice comment. I'm glad that you're enjoying these overall, Michael.
BrickCityBornandBred Yes a great song will always be covered by many competent artists. I love Johnny Matis's version, but my favourite will always be Dionne Warwick.
(The one the only johnny Mathis this man keeps the music playing make it easy on yourself and listen to the magic of Johnny Mathis. God bless you johnny Mathis.

ruclips.net/video/sTXLgU1Ol4Q/видео.html I'm trying to get this fellow to do some Johnny Mathis songs...what do you think?
My sister loved him too. She saw him in the 50s and 60s, and adored him. She passed away two years ago on new years eve, and is always in my heart.
Came out as gay officially at the tender age of 82
Not bad going

My wife had me listen to Johnny years ago and she was right; one of the best voices of our time.
Absolutely beautiful! This is a singer, this is a song. Nowadays music is 99% trash.
Seems we've devolved as a society, and the fate of music is indicative of that. Even Elton John said it's all crap now.
I hate it when the singers of today say they were inspired by singers from the past like Johnny. What an insult, because like you said music is 99% trash today.

This gentleman never ceases to amaze me. Pure class, the whole package. ❤️
Is he the same guy who won Seattle a Super Bowl? No, guess that was Russell Wilson.
A Most Talented Musician. A voice like no other. Seen him in concert half doz times. Never ceases to amaze me. Love you Johnny.

He sang so loud but never sounded strained like others did,a voice that many male singers envied, but could not accomplish .

Any song Johnny sings he owns. Listen to Memories from Cats and you'll know what I mean. I get teary eyed when I hear him sing that song.
I love Johnny Mathis and this version, but I had always loved Jerry Butler's rendition also! Glad there's no ultimatum to be made here!
BrickCityBornandBred Yes a great song will always be covered by many competent artists. I love Johnny Matis's version, but my favourite will always be Dionne Warwick.

Love the Walker Brothers original, but Johnny has his own presentation that no one can duplicate. There's a time and situation for both.
You are very welcome and I really enjoy your choice of Johnny's music.
