It has a huge issue though, the game play loop is really tedious after about 20 hours, maybe even sooner. It's basically drive around and fight the same enemies over and over. All the PoIs are very similar. The combat is pretty much button mashing, don't get me wrong, it looks amazing and the animations are very fluid, but that's about as deep as it goes. It's a very surface level game with little to no depth. If you're a completionist it might scratch an itch because there's plenty of mostly useless things to unlock, but aside from that the game just nas no real playability, and that's coming from someone with 250+ hours in Starfield.
It helps to be older and be a fan of old mad max film. But I believe this game does many things well while games today struggle to do one thing well. This game knows exactly what it is supposed to be. Great story, great visuals, great car customization and variety, great combat on foot with guns and in the vehicles. Great open world objectives.

Biggest problem is there's a weird gimmick with one or a couple of the upgrades... Some kind of timer. I think it needs to connect to some now defunct live service... One was like scrap over time, and another was a magnet for collecting scrap from dead cars while you're driving. You need a lot to upgrade everything... Having those upgrades is really great and now they don't work. And they could have patched it but they didn't. But I gotta say, I love it when daddy Appsro plays a game. Always fun listening to him.

I think this game is overrated. I found it boring. The game spoon feeds you and its way too easy. Never felt like I would run out of fuel or water. Also the game breaking bugs.
Just watched Fury Road today when I turned on the TV after work. This game adds more context to the Fury Road movie. Max really did them a solid by changing their mind about crossing "the salt" watching Fury Road I thought it might have just been a salt flat or something, but after seeing this game I'm like, "Oh! they were trying to cross the ocean. Good save Max!"

I doubt it will, considering this game came out the same year as the Mad Max Furry Road movie and the sales numbers for this game were not great back then, and the new Mad Max movie is losing money, so i highly doubt we'll get a sequel to this game or a new Mad Max game
Love this game. One of my favorites of all time. My latest playthrough I just keep the threat level as high as possible so I can take my upgraded cars and drive around and get into battles. My first playthrough I made the mistake of clearing all the threat to 100%. Then there was nothing to do and no one to fight unless you did the deathraces. HUGE missed opportunity for an online MMO game. Large gangs of players roaming around getting into scraps, building bases and various vehicles. Would have been epic but I digress. You would think there would have been a sequel but nope apparently the developers don't like money.

I liked Rage 2, this has that vibe in a mad max world. I remember you jumping into this briefly as Rage Cop and it looked cool. So on the wishlist it goes waiting for a sale. Fun Video.
Mad Max is the 2nd best open world game I’ve ever played. The first being Elden Ring. The combat on foot is like the Arkham games and the car combat is a little like Black Flag’s naval combat.
God I love this game. It is not on sale but it is only $19.99. It makes sense since the last time I played it several "on-line" features are no longer supported so you loose those extras. Other than that the game works and runs fine and is still fun as hell. You may not think there is much to it but I would LOVE to see Appsro do a full play of this. Just his personality with this game. I would find it a must watch.
I grew up a twisted Metal fan and honestly I’d had never seen a mad max movie my dad rented this game because it was one of the few games he saw an ad for and went that looks like twisted metal and I became hooked and now I love the franchise.

This really is a great game I’ve had so much fun playing this, it’s sad it never got any dlc or any real attention, I’ve had just so much fun playing this game, it’s great mindless fun and upgrading your car is just downright satisfying seeing become more powerful and just a monster on and off road

I remember playing this when it released. It isn't bad for a movie based game, probably the best tv/movie game ever released, although it still does have that tv/movie game sort of cheapness to it, but I was surprised by how much content it had and how well made it was.
One of the best games of all time. The devs did a fantastic job of representing the world and lore, and capturing exactly who Max really is. It's the perfect bridge between the old movies and the new ones.

Also, it’s me, I’m the completionist. 😂 It’s either that or I lose all interest. For Post-Apocalyptic movies, I hate most remakes but I wish that someone would redo the 1975 “A Boy and His Dog”. It inspired the Mad Max series and Fallout.
