"A Painting's Demise" is truly heart breaking. I know Mary was rather over the top during the stretch of the game, but-- I find that ending.. painful. All she wanted was to get out, to escape. She waited so long to get a taste of the world outside the gallery, and when she finally got the chance, she wasn't even allowed to go back. She was stuck in a "fabricated real world", a world... so to say, a "world between the worlds". No Big Sis Red, no father, no...anything. She would be stuck there, in TRUE loneliness, for eternity.
In the 2nd ending, I believe that Ib and Garry are like Mary's dolls now...which is sad. I wish there was ending with all of them happy together and not dead.
Considering that Mary isn't an actual human she doesn't know what "death" means either, which could explain her trying to kill Ib in some routes. She just doesn't know she'll actually die. In the 2nd Ending shown here I think she believes they're still alive, so she treats them as such. Y'know... even though they're inanimate.
thankfully we have the embodiment of spirit manga to give us this truly perfect ending :) I just wish Kouri would add it in the actaul game as well...since 2012 I still wish to get a chance to achive such an ending for those 3, all of them deserve to escape.....even Mary.

I believe in the ending "Welcome To The World Of Guertena" Mary was the real person here that got lost in the art world. And she found roses next to the lake and lava paintings that are on each side of you when you first go in to the true exhibition. One that was red, and one that was blue. When she found these roses she had an idea, what if she could "make" friends so she isn't alone. She finds sculptures and paintings that are alive and move around. She asked The Lady In Red and The Lady In Blue wanted the roses, but they declined. But they did agree to be her friend. Then she found some supplies, (Cotton, Clay, Fabric, Etc) And made characters. One named Ib, And one named Garry. (I'm guessing those names just popped in her head, I'm not sure..) She gave them the roses and the paintings and sculptures helped her make them alive. (MAGIC) She threw them In this fake world that her painting and sculpture friends made, (along with other fake people so Ib and Garry would think its real, Also Garry and Ib don't know that they're fake.) Mary waited for the right moment to "bump" in to them. She didn't like the personality that the paintings gave Garry, but they couldn't change it. So she made more dolls but, she gave them a plan. (Make sure Garry gets separated from Ib long enough so she can become friends with Ib, and get Garry "lost") But the plan failed, and Ib and Mary find Garry. They start to lose their personality and after a couple of days, they dropped the roses and fell to the floor, (not dead) real souls lost in trapped bodies. *My own theory btw :3*
When it came to the Doll Room, I almost failed but found the key at the last frame of survival... I was panicking. I went on to get Promise of Reunion.
+owl street lol Thanks for the praise, ha ha. I think I've been putting time and effort/heart in my Ib videos a lot more than the others, I love this game really. And I'm better at express my feeling by writing than talking I guess. Sometimes I feel like making this type of videos more, I really enjoy it. But most of these kind of game, will have other RUclipsr playing them already (which they are way more famous/well-known than me, I'm just a regular gamer). Also, horror stuffs tend to scare me really easily, hence why I almost never play any horror games at all (Ib is an exception tho ;D ). Still like watching them tho, strange aren't I? Sorry for not having much interesting contents on my channel btw. I feel guilty toward all the subs.

The answer for your question of the first ending in the video is this: Disproportionate Reward. Two people get in, two get out. Mary accidentally left Ib and Garry to their fate in her world, and left by her lonesome, not even trying to see if Garry still wanted out of the painting world. The gallery I would say, "reclaimed", Mary. She does succeed getting to the real world in one ending, but due to offing Garry in the process, in which is due to the principle being followed. The same thing would have happened to Ib and Garry should they have left the gallery world by their lonesome.
The second ending in this video made me go O_O the moment I heard the carrie theme...I was all "Oh fuck she's gonna kill them..." over and over, till I saw them all. Dear god! I hate her even more! First ending I was proud of. She deserved it! >:(

Hey have you posted the video about the new dungeon along with v.1.05?To play the dungeon you have to play the game a second time in order to play the new dungeon.This is when you go down the black stairs to the room you started at first in the world of Gurtena around the ending of the game but instead leading to that room, you are in the extra dungeon. I don't even know if you still have the game installed but the dungeon is pretty fun

I don't know about Garry, but I think Ib is still alive, just near death (2nd ending). If you look at her rose, it still has one petal on it. I might be wrong though, it might not be attatched, just on the ground to make it look like it's attatched to the stem. OuO
I just wish there was an ending in which they could all escape together... it's a shame because you can fall in love with both Garry's character and Mary's character and... I wouldn't want ot leave either behind... I think I would've handled things differently in that situation.

Did you download the 1.05v? If you did than just carry on with the instructions from the video, but if you didn't you'll have to find somewhere to get that. I'd suggest vgperson's site.

i think ib and garry were dead in that ending because the lady in blue was holding garrys rose she could have been doing what she did the first time you see her picking off the petals which would cause garrys death ......
my theory for the painting demise ending is that mary needs a real person to change the story in the real world to fit her in like in other endings when she did escape

Mary CAN get out, like she did in Together Forever, because she was with Ib and Garry was stuck, because for something imaginary to become real she needed a trade - in that case it was Garry. + her sticking with Ib gave her a real life story, as your theory implied, so yeah. :3

When you are playing as Mary, the yellow rose doesn't appear. I would like to know what would happen if we take damage while playing as Mary.
Question is, Is there anything that can damage us (Mary) at all at that point. Because I don't remember there is any.

If you run out of a certain amount of petals you can't move (when Garry stopped walking and fell on the floor, before he died.).

someone should make a guertena game to see how he made the world and stuff and various ways of how he dies! like what if mary or his other art works killed him in his made up world? there could be various ways! and also the good end where guertena dreams while he's dieing that he gets out and lives! i think its a good idea! there can be a whole ib series!
I'd rather not know that,it's the mystery that is still present after finishing all routes that's part of the chaarm of this game to me.

In the second endng im sure Ib and Garry cant be dead cause their roses still have petals
i think ib and garry were dead in that ending because the lady in blue was holding garrys rose she could have been doing what she did the first time you see her picking off the petals which would cause garrys death ......
my theory for the painting demise ending is that mary needs a real person to change the story in the real world to fit her in like in other endings when she did escape
+Ivy Mei In the Tree Room, when you check the shelves, there is a Theory saying that you can make imaginary things real with the price of an existing thing. Mary CAN get out, like she did in Together Forever, because she was with Ib and Garry was stuck, because for something imaginary to become real she needed a trade - in that case it was Garry. + her sticking with Ib gave her a real life story, as your theory implied, so yeah. :3
