      @OG Colton In case you hadn't noticed ALL the other people in the comment section that are saying that nothing was displayed to begin with and that's what they wanted help with not this. No offence but it was obvious, not to mention all it takes for a view is a click meaning the majority of his view were misguided and click baited. This person has every right to be upset. However, his aggression was not necessary.😒

      The Determined Ninja I agree nothing in the title was shown to the viewer and to be honest you don’t need much “drive” to point a phone at yourself plugging in a lead it’s just everyone in the comments agreed that this vid is pretty shit to ppl that need to know how to set screen resolution and stuff he skipped it all and just showed us how to plug one in with dual monitors and the titles misleading maybe how to set up two screens would have been better but he won’t change it because of the views it’s getting it’s a regular searched term that’s why

    @kgbsacha Yes. It doesn't matter what you're running on as long as you have a good hdmi cable. Simple as that. What it's basically doing is the hdmi cable transfers everything the computer is doing and projecting it on the screen (tv or computer monitor same thing)

    Reply might be late but for my part, my HDMI port on pc was disabled in the bios settings, I had to turn it on manualy, now it fully work.
    Here the way you do, once you inside the bios go in Advanced settings, under primary display, change it to IGFX so the desktop reads the HDMI on startup and not only as a secondary screen option.

  • @Creed667Gamer
    @Creed667Gamer 11 лет назад

    I solved this by going in to the sound options on my computer (which you can access in your control panel) then set your sound default as HDMI. This should solve the problem, just remember to set the default back to the laptops speakers when you are finished using it on your TV.
    I hope that helps.

    You should have shown mirror mode in operation for folks and also shown how it looks with the smaller monitor to the right if the HDTV.
    Also how about demonstrating how to set up hdmi audio output in windows 7. Is it plug and play or do you have to change sound settings?

  • @mycommentpwnz
    @mycommentpwnz 11 лет назад

    Go to your Input selections on your Television once you have hooked everything up. Go to VGA (or the appropriate adapter you use. HDMI or whatever)

  • @BryanMellow
    @BryanMellow 11 лет назад

    you need to go into the control panel, hardware and sound, and then change the sound settings so that the TV is the default sound device. When you first plug in the HDMI and have finally gotten the screens the way you want them, you still need to tell the computer where you want the sound to be transmitted

  • @razzo161
    @razzo161 12 лет назад

    @MrFordDoesNotLikeU click on the sound icon on the taskbar. go to mixer. under device, click the drop down next to the device name, and you should find your tv. (mine is toshiba-tv) click on it and y9ur sound should go through the hdmi cable and out the tv.

  • @mycommentpwnz
    @mycommentpwnz 11 лет назад

    Well, you can get a HDMI to VGA cable, or an adapter. And every television has an "Input" selection. That is what you use on your televisino to recognize its input.

    Plugged in the HDMI to the TV, and the computer.. But when I open the display settings on the computer, it only shows "1" as in my computer monitor.. I wonder why it doesn't pick up the TV? The HDMI cable works with my laptop and TV, so why won't it work with my computer? Any suggestions?

    If I got an 2 year old Acer PC then I install Windows 7 Ultimate without installing a Nvidia GeForce 7100 video card from Windows Update, can I use an HDMI port to connect to the TV without installing a built-in video card? (Aero works)

  • @thetravelinghermit
    @thetravelinghermit 11 лет назад

    I'm having this same issue. I think it may be the cable? Obvious checks are that the cables are seated correctly, in the right ports, that the HDMI port is enabled, and that video and sound drivers are up to date. I have done all this and the system almost works...That is the TV gives a really quick flash of a pixelated screen then goes to 'no signal'. I can't make changes to the output options for the HDMI port because all options are greyed out because it shows 'not connected'...

    Here is a quick question, i have a sony 5.1 surround system hooked into my tv. It uses all of the inputs (xbox, cable box) as inputs to the surround sound unit, then uses an HDMI output that goes from the surround sound unit to the TV. Trying to do this set up, i have the HDMI cable running from my desktop to the Input 1 on the surround unit, but nothing is showing up when input 1 is selected. Any ideas?

    I have the Windows 7 desktop computer (does not have HDMI) connected to the LCD-TV via >> internal USB card >> USB out to >> external USB-to-HDMI adapter >> from HDMI output >> to HDMI on TV. It works fine. What I would love to do is use MS-DOS games & programs. As for games, I installed DOSBOX and it works fine on a regular monitor. Is it possible to use my connection method above to use the LCD-TV to use MS-DOS? Or am I out of luck?

    @TAWRreviews ummm yeah. i don't have a hd, or flatscreen, just a normal tv. I'm in 7th grade, so i don't really have alot of money to spend, accept what i've saved up from doing video editing, (for clients) and playing piano. And I'm spending that on a new laptop, soooo... yeah, a new tv is kinda outa the question. Also having an hdmi would be awesome to project my movies/projects and animations on my projector!!

    Mine doesn't seem to work. I bought a 25 feet HDMI lol, it works on my laptop just fine. But when I plug it on my Desktop it doesn't show anything, neither on the tv nor does it say "1/2" in the computer settings. I tried plugging it in the TV in HDMI 2, nothing, my desktop only has one HDMI port so... I don't know what to do.
