I've never listened to Smith before. His insight about Obama and the antiwar left is brilliant, and I'll start looking for him. Thanks for bringing him on, Auron!
Welcome to the smith club.
Hope you are cool with anarchists....

before Yarvin had "tiny Singapores" Hoppe had baser "1000 Liechtensteins"
Pretty sure Uncle Yarv gives alot of credit to Hoppe.
Based, baser, the basest?
10,000
tbf yarvin's singapore solution is more sustainable long term since it has created a economy for itself from scratch even though it has structural advantages of being placed in the region where a large portion of world trade happens with rapidly industrializing economies , it;s security is similar to that of liechtenstein since it is's two big trade partners are also the biggest economies in the region and it's biggest ethnic groups namely india and china so a systemic equlibrium is guarenteed moreover singapore has a larger scale and capacity to innovate which liechtenstein lacks in a certain since it's economy has stagnated for the last 20 years while singapore keeps growing it's income levels contiously
Great show Auron. I’m a former libertarian but Dave is one of the few libertarians I still listen to pretty consistently. I find him to be genuine and I think there’s overlap on many significant issues. I think many libertarians are reachable by ideas from Yarvin and elite theory. I think the biggest thing might be a shift in thinking about politics moralistically to more practical.
Would love to see Dave interact with Academic Agent too.
Same I still listen to Dave. He's more thoughtful than your average libertarian.
Nothing exactly against libertarians but most of them aren't very well read outside of their own ideology
Same.

Never too late to stop demographic change.
It was probably too late for that 80 years ago. You're talking about overturning the results of multiple wars, and not just any wars, but the most bloody wars to ever exist in recorded history. And most people think they were good and just and needed. The black pill is too big.
‘The Forever War’ is also a sci-fi book by Joe Haldeman, partially inspired by his experiences of the Vietnam war, and ‘Starship Troopers’ by Heinlein which is required reading by US military.
Ah, I thought maybe the Joe Haldeman book was the subject of this episode..
@@filled_soda me too ☹️
I may have moved on from libertarianism to the DR a few years ago now but I see the libertarians as the natural pool of talent that we in our circles should be recruiting from, they are the most intelligent normie political faction and the most truth oriented, they are receptive to critiques of the liberal and democratic priors. Also I have always like Dave Smith.
Normie?
Libertarians are communists. By the time you realize this, you realize it is way too late.
Don't You think paleoconservatives are better?
Average libertarian is just another leftist, but quirky. Ofter pro-weed and for porn-focused "free speech". People of the Mises Caucus are not necessarily representative of that demographic.
AA sometimes mentions some "based" paleo-marxists, but they are few.
What is Dr

Dave and Auron agree to agree. Great show. Keep talking to each other fellas.
Big Guest. Fingers crossed you get on JRE in a year
In my senior year of college, before I was commissioned in the US Army, my military history professor said something that really struck me. He said the US military's biggest challenge moving forward is that it is much more politically advantageous to lose a war than to win one. He told us that the US was going to lose in Iraq and Afghanistan not because it was beyond our military means to win, but because politicians would be able to win elections by saying it was impossible to win and would then have the power to enact legislation and policy that guarantees we can't win. Is prediction turned out to be completely correct but that's because he knew his history. The Vietnam War ended that way so it makes sense any future counterinsurgency war would end the same.
Christmas came early gentlemen! Thanks for uniting the two folks I listen to most frequently and respect
Here for Dave Smith
Two of my favorites. Thank you!
This might be the best conversation on the fundamentals I've seen with Dave. Sharp push back.. prolly more of what people wanted from the quickie Moldbug convo.. & honestly Dave comported himself well. 🚬🕶️👍
Not being anti-evil is what the enemy is really after.
exactly what “libertarians” demand to be: neutrality on evil, actively against Good.
the jump from hoppean ancap to classical feudalist is just your conversion to Catholicism
i know that because its what happened to me
Worlds colliding right here.
Another good show 👍
Auron and Dave > Sitch and Adam
Davey Smith!
@16:50 Since somewhere not long after June 16, 2015, I stopped believing in ANY benevolence among members of the Left, including "classical liberals". Donald Trump offered them everything that I have heard Libs nonstop tout that they stand for my entire life. They spat on his hand and in his face. It was a rude awakening for me to see Liberals revealed for who the fully are.
The Deuce Boogaloo screen name made me crack up. Fun discussion.
Auron is an embodiment of the sensible center . great job.
Auron should read Chaos Theory by Robert/Bob Murphy
No.
Enjoyed this and your appearance on milleniyule!
remember that time Joe said Barry was "clean" and "well spoken"
Duke had a pretty good record as a state legislator. The things they (media, political establishment) hated him most for were the things about which he was most correct.
For example, what he called "the rising welfare underclass."
Bertrand De Jouvenel - On Power. Ok. After listening to AM for what? Over a year? Finally found this goofy book and ordered it. He REALLY should have started his show with some type of breakdown of this book vs mentioning it LITERALLY every single one of his shows w/o explanation.
I'd also recommend the vol. 1 of Accursed Share by Bataille.. it complements de Jouvenel's work p well..

Once again making the case for service guarantees citizenship
Just because someone doesn't read tons of books, does not mean they are not intellectual. It DEFINITELY does NOT mean they are not highIQ. We over-emphasize "reading". If you stop to think smartly, you'd notice a lot of intellectually empty stuff has gotten published through the second half of the 20th century onwards.
Does any have a link for the article Dave mentioned?
murray rothbard's "the case for right wing populism"
Looking forward to listening to his pod with Ryan Long to find out how the comedians began to hate, after long arrears to make good, no doubt
I like him, he made me certain that libertarianism is a meme beyond help
I agree with both in many ways. I’m glad they touched upon their main difference in outlook. AM is correct that some sort of State will emerge just because reality. I did like Dave’s pushback - but as much as I like his libertarian push - I still side with AM on this part.
dave is not r*tional, and only exists to frustrate Christendom.
Been waiting ages for this collaboration. So excited to watch
being able to fight against gaeracecommunism ended in the 90's that is why they did ruby ridge waco and OKC.
2 of the best doing it today, this is going to kickass
Airstrip One has Always been at war with Eastasia.... or is that Eurasia...
The articles of confederation didn’t stop the centralization of power. The constitution didn’t stop the centralization of power.
Ideas and words themselves do not hold any state in being or abolish a state, but rather peoples loyalty to institutions and individuals. You have to offer people, especially powerful people, a better deal in terms of individuals and institutions to be loyal to, not simply tell them to not initiate violence and just trust that everything will work out. Delegitimize the state, promote your own rival castle.
The Constitution excuses to create a real country based on stolen Catholic Principles.
America has never been "one nation." America is a confederation of states. We kind of had a mono culture from 1941 into the 1960s, but even that was weak.
That’s what I said
Is language “property”?
luv dave's little kickNthe balls there at the end. typical of them.
as much as id like to point the finger at them, given their groups' ideas, funding, promotion & policy implementation of that topic, it is our group that allowed it.
if there werent so many antiwhites amongst our own people we wouldve stopped these particular deconstructions every time they rose.
id have liked the show to have continued on 5more mins at that point and for AM to point out euro huwites are the only group reliably pushing your "less state North-star" desires, to see what dave would say.
deep down even the dave’s of the world know their time is short.
screw Bertrand de Juvenal, we need more straight up Juvenal
39:06, You don't, humans undergo an evolutionary process just like any other animal on this planet. Its nobody's responsibility to decide for the entire species what to do.
you are not animals, no such process exists, you will not make your sh*me over s*n go away.
Good conversation. Smith has courage. But I see Auron's still calling Trump the "Forest Gump" of politics. "Never Trump" comes in various degrees and forms.
It's way more important to be principled than be an ideologue. Y'a'll UNDERestimate Donald Trump.
How about being True.
You just overestimate Trump. He’s not the hero you’ve made him in your head
There is NO SUCH THING as a "LEFT Libertarian". It's like a double negative. If you are leftwing, you cannot call yourself Libertarian. That's what the label "Liberal" is for. You DON'T have rightwing Libs either. Pick a Goddamn lane and stop being such a flake whoever you are that needs to revise old nomenclature to suit YOUR confusion. Dave Smith, as a Libertarian, should know better. Grrr..
Dave rules
dave is not even in control of his own life.
