This is hands down the best direction of watercolor I've ever watched. You did so well explaining what you were doing not just "follow what I do and figure it out ". Now I feel I can do watercolor!

Oh my gosh, I could never stop. I would feel compelled to complete it and not waste the paper, that's just me. I am still trying to overcome the "preciousness" of everything I work with and actually use it. I held onto paints and paper for so many years because I didn't want to waste it or mess up. I am now seeing you just have to do it and make mistakes to learn. I still don't think I'd be able to just stop at this point though , maybe in a couple more years, lol.

I feel just like you. Although not rich, I certainly have enough money to not worry about the price of paper or paint. But I'm terrified to "waste" them. I realize it has a lot to do with being told I was never good enough as a child. Daring to risk erring in my painting process is more a spiritual journey than an artistic one.

I’m doing a search on fugitive colors. I was wondering why you use Opera Pink when we know it’s a fugitive color that will completely disappear from the painting after about a year. The painting is amazing and I would be so upset if I purchased it just to have it fade out.

With the cost of paper, not many can afford to use it as a warm up.

Buy cheaper paper to "warm up". When you feel ready to start on your complete painting, switch to Arches.
