I lost my husband a year ago to stage 4 metastatic bladder cancer. Since then I have been thrifting for resale via marketplace and I also flip furniture. I would like to do more of that because you make a bigger profit than selling small thrifted items. The spray tent would allow me to paint furniture pieces without going outside and without “painting” my garage floor. Trying to make up for an income lost as well as taking care of my 88 year old mother who lives with me has been a challenge. But I’m not a quitter and I’m definitely a survivor. Thank you for your consideration.

I love the look you gave to these pieces of furniture! The only thing I would do different is to take the drawers out to do the glaze so that the side pieces have lines going straight up and down.

Love this pottery barn look!! I've used the " Smoked " glaze and the " Aged "glaze, which is a gold tint.
You can use them together, and it looks great. I apply a lot of it and let it sit for about 20-25 minutes before I start working with the deck brush and the broom. I have also used the wood graining tool, and it works great if you have it flipped in a horizontal position. Leave the big puddles, and it will dry flat, and it is beautiful.
The trick to using the wood grain tool is letting it get tacky.
If it spreads, it's not ready yet.
If it drags on you, just add a little more glaze, and it will loosen up again.
Kara, I would absolutely love to win "your" tent specifically, just because I'm a huge fan!! 😅

I think you nailed the pottery barn look. I think it's a nice way to give a piece a wooden look when real wood can't be used.
I'd love to have the tent as I'm a furniture refinisher and artist myself and to make my life easier, I'd like to spray the paint and topcoat so my work can be more profitable and I can spend more time with my two little kids.

I liked this look. I also liked a different product Kara used on a different project, that mimicked wood grain. The paint had wood particles in it and utilized a grain tool. It actually mimicked an oak grain really well. A very different look from this but very beautiful. She’s always got the latest products to demo for us!

I definitely need a tent!! The wind always blows here on the San Pablo Bay, so I'm trapped painting in my garage. A tent would be much easier to put up and take down than my current tarp system. I am disabled, but refinishing furniture is something I could do to help survive in this economy. I am very slowly gathering equipment so that I can refinish furniture again because it used to be so much fun. The tent would help me to keep my precious dog from breathing in paint fumes and sprays as he always likes to be closeby....which is where I want him! Plus, it would help keep paint from getting on anything important.
I currently sell books on Ebay, but refinishing furniture would be soo much more profitable and would give me back the joy of doing something creative.
    Thank you!

I would love to get a tent to set up in my basement and be able to do all my flips in the home instead of outside freezing, and paint clumping up on me and not drying correct! Thanks for such an incredible opportunity! I have been having my eye on the Wagner tents for awhile, but haven't made the jump quite yet as I have other obligations first :) wonderful work as always! Having a Wagner Spray Tech spray tent would enable me to use our family garage to create and transform reclaimed, repurposed furnishings to be able to help support my family. I’m excited about the possibilities!
As a family of 4 we just can’t allocate our entire garage to painting and refinishing, either during the cold or summer months! The Wagner Spray Tent allows you to safely spray paint and finishes on your projects without worrying that your entire garage will get covered in it -but also it keeps your painted projects protected from dust and debris from the active life your family leads that also shares the garage space.

Great job, LL. Those knobs are perfect. I just finished a cabinet with the same base color and the coco java glaze. I used a wood graining tool first over the glaze then did the brushing. I taped off the vertical sections, then had to wait for that to dry to then tape off the glazed sections so I could have the grain going in the opposite direction. It took forever just because of all the waiting. 👍 I saw somebody do this but did a final drybrush of a light color, which I don't think is needed unless you want a driftwood look to it. Almost forgot to mention I did a few "fly specks" that I do like, and are very easy to do. I saw Trena rub the topcoat with a scotchbrite and floor wax which give it a hand rubbed sheen.

I’ve got a dining set (I know -so much work to do chairs!) to do that I’m kind of excited to get started and it would be so awesome to have a Wagner Spray Tent to keep them safe from debris while I’m working on them -my family is tired of not being allowed to open the garage while I’m waiting for polyurethane to dry & cure! The armor seal coating I use from General Finishes takes days to dry between coats. I’ve used Wagner spray systems for 30 years and they are the best so I imagine their Spray Tent is the best quality too. I still have that first Wagner I use for paint.😊

I just moved into a new studio space for my art gallery employees and I to use for glass art, painting, ceramics, furniture makeovers ... it's so they can make extra money to afford to live in Colorado. I have picked up a few pieces of furniture lately, either on the side of the road (old Drexel coffee table), or in a Habitat for Humanity resale store. It's snowing today, and sometimes the squirrels are throwing pinecones at me outside. It's a short season for painting outside in the Colorado mountains. I've been thinking about that tent since you showed it in another video!

I have been inspired by you and a few others to try my hand at furniture flipping. I live in breezy northern Arizona. My recent project has been delayed many days because of not having a place to work on my project. Thank you for your inspiration.

As a Widow, I am moving into a 55+ Community (where my best friend also lives)!
As a new beginning, I have purchased some items from Facebook Marketplace, and I can’t wait to make them “my own!”
One of those tents would make the transformations so much easier! 🙂

These are beautiful! New subscriber to your channel. We are going to be building a home in retirement and have been watching to determine if I want to paint some of my furniture pieces for the new home! This Wagner tent and sprayer looks awesome! I’ve only used chalk paints on furniture, but this looks much faster. I love that!

The nightstands turned out beautifully! My husband and I are starting to restore and flip furniture to sell. With the change of seasons, we’re going to need to paint in the garage. This spray tent would be wonderful to save our garage floors! Thanks for the great giveaway!

I have several night stands I would like to paint. I have never painted furniture before but I love your videos and am inspired to try.
I bought a couple of inexpensive tables on test on. They are small but solid wood so hopefully if they come out good the first time, they are durable to try again.
Thank you for your time and effort.
    All the best,
    Hazel

Thank you for the give away! I just moved my very young 83 year old Mom to my neighborhood. Her new and old decor items need an update. Time for color! I would LOVE to have a Wagner Spray Tent to allow me to work in the garage throughout the winter. xo

I really enjoy your channel and this new “raw wood” finish is great! I’m trying to start an in home furniture painting business so I can have the flexibility to take care of my elderly parents but still have an income. I have a paint sprayer, but now that winter is coming (I’m in Michigan) working outside is no longer an option. Using a sprayer is so much more efficient than using a brush. However, spraying paint in my unfinished basement requires the ability to contain the airborne particles. Also, ours is an older home, and walking around upstairs can cause dust to fall from the ceiling. So, a tent would be a great option to help keep the dust off the furniture while it dries. Thank you for sharing all your tips and tricks and for opportunity to win a tent!

Thank you for the great content and the awesome give away, I am just learning how to do furniture. so watching your channel has helped a lot. . I would love to have a Spray tent! We rent our home so I can only paint on days I can paint outside. Having the Spray tent would mean I can paint inside and not worry about getting paint in the garage.

I have an old run-down barn that I use for woodworking and fixing furniture. Sure, could use a tent as the mosquitos and sand keep messing up my work. If I had a tent, it would make things a little safer. Summer heat took a real tole. on my work, I also live in Texas. Had to deal with the stain and paint blistering and bubbling. Perhaps, if I had a tent and a spray rig, I could control the dust, get the job done better and faster. At this time, I have two dressers that need to be redone. Got flooded out last night, so I guess I will start in a couple days. Bridge washed out just down the road, so I can't get anywhere for a few days. Thanks for your inspiring channel.
