Fun fact. Instead of using A V-engine this bike took the advantages of an inline engine in practically combined them to create something known as U engine two in line twos connected to each other and put into one drive to create a square looking engine. Truly one of the best engineering ideas ever
Man I want to ride a 500 so bad. I’ve only been owned naked sport bikes. Only 2 stroke I’ve ever been on was a little 85 😂. Two stroke is like old school turbo cars. Nothing nothing nothing whaaaooooooooo!
@@Purplatt thats a road bike m8 not a race bike the production racing rg500 was a totatly differant bike with a dry clutch NO kickstart differant frame do you want me to go on ? You really do not know much about the rg500 do you ?
I really miss the sound and smell of two stroke performance bike engines. They were obviously never going to survive into the modern environmentally-conscious era but most vehicles sound utterly bland these days.
The RG500 is still as gorgeous and beautiful sounding as the day we met

Why ? It is a street legal bike and came with a pillion seat and is a road bike
@@wescooley34 well not really, ours wasnt the street version it was the race version, it was made for racing
it is a rare piece.. sadly very costly to keep in check. drive it rarely
