Who knew 2024 will be the year Kalv finishes the rust on the Skyline and Neil finishes his 86. Though at this pace, I wouldn't be surprised if the Skyline is done this year as well. 😄

No one really understands the amount of work involved in doing this right! Not only that is doing your work alone. Your dedication is remarkable. Proves to your generation that hard work pays off. How many hours do you have in this GTR? You need an apprentice. High school student. Train him and restore cars for rich people.

It's coming along great! Watch out bonding hood and roof skeletons like that though. The skeletons can actually pull down and cause dents over time. There is a specific 2 part nvh adhesive for that purpose.
Interesting! So the oe product allows some movement? If anything like that happens will definitely address it and fix. Appreciate the knowledge!
@KalvinMalli kinda. It's more of an anti-flutter design and made to act more like a damper. There is always a slight gap and when you pushed the skeleton against the roof, let the panel bond cure, and removed the bracing, it leaves the bracing in tension pulling down on the roof skin. Over time, if the panel bond doesn't give and the roof skin does, it will "pull" dents down into the roof skin. You may not ever have an issue but I have seen it happen to a hood. Just sharing experience. Keep up the hard work!

the panel bond is going to create ripples in the panel my guy. use seam sealer, heat from the sun ect causes the steel to move and with panel bond in the center of body panels itll warp the panel because it cant move
this is the most amazing series to see it come this far , glad you didn't give up. hope this is a good stepping stone for potential customers to see your workmanship.
