Love your kitchen, it’s beautiful. I found your channel while researching flour mills. It’s nice to know NutriMill customer service helped you through your issue. It’s hard to tell, in the lighting, which color you have, gold or silver?
Great video. I was afraid to open those screws for fear it would void the warranty, so I’m glad I found this video. I did notice, when you ran your rice through after putting it back together, that you put the rice in and then turned on the power. That could be how you happened to have a grain stuck inside and couldn’t turn the dial. The manual does say to turn it on first then put grain in 🥰
Glad it helped! Yeah that may be the way the rice got in there. I think the first time you use it, it's easy to miss a step! It turned out to be an easy fix.
Lol, your little boy is so sweet. Hes a good talker Mom😊 Good job on the learning curb. Mine is on its way and im nervous. I purchased this one instead of the Mock 100 because i couldn't deal with the noise. This little guy seems pretty quiet just hope i catch on pretty fast. Liked and subscribed 😊
Thank you so much! He really is a good boy, I'm a lucky mom. Yes, I really love my NutriMill, it's really convenient to have out on the counter and not lug it out every other day when I use it. It took me a bit to adjust recipes with fresh flour, but after a bit of practice it's really worth it.
Thanks for sharing these tips. I am ordering a refurbished one from NutriMill. Glad to hear they made it right! Loved to see you just taking it apart and sharing the nuts and bolts approach.
Thanks! After I got the second one and then IT wasn't working, I was like I have got to see what is going on here! I feel like on my first one, the threads just weren't lining up right and made it difficult to turn. The company definitely stands behind their product.
You’re welcome! The first mill never worked well for me. I just couldn’t figure it out. And then when we got the second one and realigned the screw top part, it worked amazing. I’m getting nice fine flour.
Great video; you might have already made changes with the first rough ground flour; I use a small bowl to catch those grains and dump those coarse grains in with the remaining wheat berries and run through on the fine setting. I have the Mockmill Professional 200.
You can brush what's on the bottom stone down, then brush around the the outside of the stone (it will spin), and the left over will come out the shoot. I let mine run for a second after brushing and let the shoot clear.
Wow. I’m so sorry you’re having all this milling trouble. I almost bought a mill like yours; glad I didn’t. And I was going to order one for my DD in the morning. Not now. Thanks for saving us both grief! But on a good note… we recently bought a NutriMill but chose the impact style over stones. It’s amazing! Milled 5 cups of Hard White Wheat in less than 45 seconds! Beautiful silky fine flour! Made two loaves of heavenly bread! I’m telling you this so maybe you can call NutriMill and trade yours for a mill that works. And mine is self-cleaning. Good luck, sweetie; hope you find a resolve that works for you. Milling flour is quick n easy, not the hassle you’re enduring. BTW, love your kitchen.
Hi, I actually really love my Nutrimill. I think working with fresh grain is a bit of a learning curve, as is learning how to work the machine. One reason I chose the stone mill over the impact mill because the stone ground keeps the flour cooler, and retains the freshness longer. The stone mill is pretty quiet too. I think they both have their good points! I'm glad you love your impact Nutrimill, I've heard good things about that one, too! Thank you, I love being in my kitchen! Lots of light and I can see the barn out the window.
Thanks for the info! that's how I found you, I was learning about different stone mills. Love the kitchen! Never worry about having stuff out that you use daily, life is too short to spend getting stuff in and out repeatedly OR to care what others think of how you get stuff done. Your working kitchen looks fab!
Yes, it's so much easier to have it functional, I got so tired of trekking to the pantry to get all my items! I use my sourdough starter and make some kind of bread almost every day. Thanks!
when I'm done grinding my flour to make bread all I do is run rice through it on the course setting and it cleans it right out...not need to use brush after..
After having gone through all of this, would you still recommend this mill? Its aesthetically very appealing, but the grain milling part seems problematic.
I definitely would. My main issue was a grain of rice got stuck in the hopper, so it was not working correctly. I just couldn't figure out why it wasn't milling properly and it was as simple as that. I wanted to make the video in case it happened to others, to show them it is a quick fix. The aesthetics did play a part in my purchase, other RUclipsrs I follow mention what a pain it is to lug a big heavy mill out every other day to grind flour, so I knew convenience of use was a top priority for me. For this price point, I think it's the best mill for me and what I use it for.
I never got mine as fine as your worsts batch! I took my bowl piece al the way apart, never saw an obstruction & STILL could not get the dial on the top to budge! The guy said to do just that & that would get me through until my new bowl arrived, but I could never get the tuning mechanism to move. WASTED MORE THAN 4 HOURS ON THIS NEW OUT OF THE PACKAGE PIECE OF CRAP!😠😡🤬 PS - Mine did not come with the handbook, bought it New on Bezos Site.
@@TheFarmhouseMom The man said he would send a new bowl, but told me to dismantle the bowl by taking the screws out to get it working to finish my 2 Cup project; it didn't work...the dial did not budge! I guess I'll see what happens with the new bowl mech.

I am having issues with mine also. It keeps overheating and isn’t grinding finely. I will have to call the company. Thank you for the video.

@@unhushable4Him I FINALLY received my new Bowl 2 weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to test it though.
